  • You need to go lower on leg press... You wouldn't be doing that many plates. Too many guys trying to act like a hard ass in the gym by doing heavy weight and cheating. Also, when you mentioned on a comment above that the muscle doesn't know whether it is a machine or not... Yes it does. There is a COMPLETE difference between machines and free weights.

  • nick i play soccer,and my legs arent as big and dense as i need them to be. they are vey toned though. what exercises should i do to gain that size and density i need? because im tired of being injured. and what sets and rep range would you suggest?

  • even a light day i beleve u should be doen more than a plate and if ur realy ganna do a plate go much slower the muscle might not recodnize the machine but it will recodnize the strain this is to quick do slow movements and flex at the end i am not patronizing i am simply letting u know u are waisting ur time doing wt ur doing how do i know becuse i was doing the same for a number of years i am older now and much larger over 200lbs u are good and have the heart for the sport keep goen

  • @TheNandopro That one plate was just a warm up.. Lmao you can see in the Vault series I go up to 5 plates per side for a low set and have 25" legs @ 5'7"..

  • theres no explanation about how to actually press the weight. if youre going to post vids to help people you can't just put something up that shows you pushing a lot of weight. if the person is a beginner they will get hurt trying to go off of just watching. stretching, breathing, proper form, etc. I train too. Whenever I workout with someone I always explain precautions before and during.

And please don't patronize me without atlease watching my other videos, because I have plenty of hard core leg day footage up!

  • @scondore Muscle responds by stimulating it by working all portions of the muscle, (negative, positive motion,), and releasing certain key hormones while training like igf-1, testosterone, growthhormone is key, without those hormone levels being in check, NO MUSCLE GROWTH. (I have multiple phd's, been in this game for awhile, you can ask me anything you want!)

    not quite. muscles dont respond to weight... your muscles dont read the 50 pound label on the weights and think - "yep, im going to grow according to the number i see". Your muscles grow according to how much muscle fiber damage you cause.

  • @scondore-actually thats not true, the muscles do know whether its a controlled motion or not, you know the contraction feels different when you use smith or cables for a movement as opposed to free wieghts, but do utilize your resources man, anything heavy or intense is going to stimulate growth.. i prefer the smith machine if i dont have a spotter.. usually switch it up every other week... good shit though bro! i wish i had drive like you when i was a teen man.. better late than never though.

    Creatine is proven completely safe, the only side effect is a little bloat.

    Some extra strength gains after cumulative dosing is about it, and a lot of water weight.

    The point I was getting across isn't that maxing out is bad for you. I know people that max out multiple times a week.

    Guess what it's called? Max Effort day?

    Your said maxing out is bad for you and your ego. It's not, it works for some people, since a lot of people respond to low reps. Beginners who are still in linear progression max out about 3 times a week. Maxing out is not bad at all, powerlifters do it too.

    nowhere relevant to maxing out, you get a slight contraction at the negative portion of your lift, but the last thing you ever find in a max out is a stretch.

    idk if it was for reps or a max.
