I think the lyrics are meant to mean pail as in 'you pail in comparison', I don't think it has anything to do with skin colour haha, but that might just be how I interpret it

Amazing singing though, I had to play the piano for some of the people doing this at my university, it's a really addictive song

I am so impressed with the singing here because it's such a hard song! It's a shame the pianist didn't quite get to grips with it though. No disrespect, because it's very 'rubatoey' so it's hard, but the piano just didn't pull it off.

Our group paid for the rights for the show so we all got the music, but we singers didn't get the piano music which kind of sucked. I can't distribute it, but hopefully Salzman and Cunningham will sell it at some point!
