I'm a Metallica fan since I was five when my father played the Black album to me and up until the 7th grade I listened to Metallica only, but insulting Maiden... well srsly you've have to get your head chekced, man. Bruce has a wider range and, frankly, better voice but Hetfield's voice fits Metallica perfectly. As far as Metallica being greater, try comparing Guns'n'Roses and Pink Floyd...
