Ill never forget, it was 1982, 1983, i was 6 - 7 years old, my mom gave me my first clock radio, i had it set to the pop music radio station, i had to wake up early so that i could ride my bike across town to go to school. this was when i really first fell in love with music. the radio would blast at 6AM and i would hear amazing songs one after another, hall and oats, phil collins, the police, etc. the music was so good, i could listen all day. thats when i first started my record collection.
Phil-you are timeless. If possible, you have improved and your talent has matured. I actually like your voice even more now. People relate to YOU as a man, a real person with no hype, pomp and show. Even though, truly you are wonderfully entertaining. Who cares about critics, nobody should be paid to do that anyway! It's not a job! It's an opinion and if people are silly enough to listen rather than form their own opinion; you have dumb an dumber. The people who appreciate you matter.
Phil is so incredibly talented. I hope that he will continue to explore and create. The joy of having such strong gifts in talent is to share them. Really..what is the point of taking classic songs like these are,and doing them with the original musicians ( in many cases) that played on the sessions, and just adding the Phil Collins voice.
The records /Cds/ downloads exist in their original glory.I don';t get why this was needed or the purpose of it.
If I want to hear these songs,and I often do,I won't be buying this album to get my fix.Thats for sure.

Phil Collins is so unbelievably talented, it's incredible. The man can play just about every damn instrument known to man....he's a gifted actor, a general sweetheart and a HELL of a funny guy....what's not to love?! I can not WAIT to listen to his sweet, sultry voice sing some of my old school favorites. It'll be nice to hear his "twist" on them oldies ;) Lovin' some PHIL!!!!!!

Really..what is the point of taking classic songs like these are,and doing them with the original musicians ( in many cases) that played on the sessions, and just adding the Phil Collins voice.
The records /Cds/ downloads exist in their original glory.I don';t get why this was needed or the purpose of it.
If I want to hear these songs,and I often do,I won't be buying this album to get my fix.Thats for sure.

The chances that you may see this message are very close to zero, but never harm in trying.
I attended your concert at the Electric Factory and found myself much more than pleasantly surprised. The closeness I felt to you that day was profound, which was perhaps aided by the fact that I was in the first row. Regardless, your music has helped me through my toughest days. Sometimes I wonder if you've saved my life - which is saying a lot, seeing as I am maybe your youngest fan.

Thats exactly what it is Phil, the knot that ties us to the beginning. We were with you the entire way, and the journey has been fantastic. Simply fantastic. Losing my baby son, losing my wife to cancer, losing my best friend to an airplane crash, and all in between, the ups and downs, you provided the sound track to my life. I always said that as long as you were singing for me, I would be fine. And it worked out perfectly. Thank you and god bless you Phil Collins

@homebuiltindoorplaneI wish i had the experience of all of you adults, I'm only 15 and I wish sooo badly that I would've been born at least in the 60's to experience all of this music when it was popular on the radio and current, music today isn't what it used to be.. and homebuiltindoorplane, i can only imagine what your going through. I lost my 2 month old brother in april but to have been through what your going through, again i can only imagine. God bless you.
