  • TV Land is shown in a lot of old folks nursing homes,

  • Who the heck is Earl Booth? I guess I can look him up on IMDb to see what season this is, but I thought Stephen Kandel was the head writer whenever I watched "Cannon," with Gene somebody as an story editor on the last season or two.

  • That fat man can run....

  • @stevevandien There are tv channels in Chicago called Me-TV and Me Too that play Cannon and Hawaii 5-0 and a host of other classic television programs. These two stations are in the process of going nation wide.

  • The '60s, '70s and and early '80s cop shows were the best.

  • Conrad's obesity then would now be considered "normal" by majority of Millions of obese Americans, especially the young who think its hip, cool, gangish to be fat.

  • @steve7138 check out Paul mertons early stand up joke on cannon .

  • @bender1011001 Hey, that's what your mother said about your conception.

  • there was once an episode of cannon that guest starred jon cyper and pippa

scott on you tube I wonder what happened to it

  • Great guest cast in this episode. William Daniels sort of looks like Michael J. Fox in his opening credit shot.

  • I miss these days as a child. The closing image of Cannon use to give me nightmares. I loved Jake & the Fatman.

  • Alex Rocco: I'm Moe Green, I made my bones when you were going out with cheerleaders!

  • i pity the men who were his pall bearers

  • Quinn Martin is KING!!!

  • The shocks absorbers in Frank Cannon's Lincoln were made of Kryptonite.

  • @eightieshbanger The car often took more lumps than he did

  • Thank you God, that I was a child/teen of the 70's and able to watch movies like "Cannon" and "Barnaby Jones" and the others..that was the best!!!

  • I love the tv syndication promotional ad for the "Cannon" reruns:

"Why have a 'Magnum' when you can have a 'Cannon?'".

Cannon usually got the bad guy and gained a few more pounds in Act IV.

  • I really loved Frank Cannon. Especially the way his Lincoln limo swayed on its soft suspension when he got in and out. No but really, it was an unfailingly entertaining show .. I hope I can get it on DVD Region 2 for Europe. Can anyone advise?

  • I was expecting to hear..."A Quinn Martin Production!"

  • One of my favorite shows years ago when I lived in Trinidad.

  • I love how cops were all named after guns: Magnum P.I., Beretta, even Remington Steel... Then they give this guy the name Cannon... You gotta love the camp.

I'm waiting to see how big Howitzer Jones is! :)

  • This is the version I remember. I loved his voice...

    GREAT POST!

  • Wow I miss Cannon !

  • CANNON: A Bigg Fat'un Production.

  • The 1970s-- a Quinn Martin Production.

  • In the spirit of Police Squad: Tonight's episode, The Sound of Death

  • Love the "ear" dot!

  • I havnt seen this since I was a kid.

  • @jason75 God alive ! Saturday nights when i was about 12, it seemed to be on whenever Kojak wasnt !!

  • Paramount's 1995 "CGI Mountain" replaces the Viacom "V of Doom" on this.

  • @ClassicTVMan81, CBS Television Distribution on ME-TV and DVD.

  • whats taking so long for season 3 of cannon

  • Back when men could be fat, but still cool....love the funky opening theme song!

  • the fat guy rocked!

  • Yes he was that good they reacon he could suround the crims all by himself thats why they called him the king of the cops

  • Next to Barnaby Jones, this was my favorite! 5*

  • MANNIX

  • So, how'd that guest spot work out for ya, "Lindon Chiles"??

  • The opening credits are from "Hear No Evil", but the closing credits are from another second season episode, "The Shadow Man", which featured Lois Nettleton, Bert Freed and Simon Scott as the main guests.

  • my husband loved this show-used to watch it on cable

  • puxa vida eu era feliz e nao sabia. very nostalgic, i was happy but i didnt know !!!

  • What do you think was in that danish? Cheese? Cause I got a real problem with cheese.

  • I love the usual scene of some guy taking aim at Frank with a high-powered rifle with scope and somehow he'd miss this rather large target, then Frank would take this same guy out with his snub nose .38 revolver. Priceless...

  • Every time! And he was a gourmet cook...just what he needed.

  • Ah, the '70s detective shows! The super-serious fat guy (long before everyone was fat) with the swivel driver's seat so he could get his fat ass out of that oh-so-compact Lincoln! For years I thought, who could have cast that? Now, well, never mind the casting company, every pair of NYC cruisers consist of the older fat dude who struggles to get in the car (never mind out), and the rookie who appears to be about 17. Somebody's gotta be able to do the running, huh?

  • The Lincolns were as big as the USS Enterprise and had plenty of room.

BTW When this episode aired Alex Rocco was playing Jewish Gangster Moe Green on "The Godfatther"

  • I was being sarcastic re. the size of the car.

  • Was he the one who got his eye shot out?

  • Yes. Alex Rocco played Moe Green a Jewish mafioso. and he did get his eye shot out.

  • No 70's show is complete with out Linden Chiles either!

  • And even before. I remember Chiles in the 60s on episodes of "East Side, West Side" and "The Virginian" --

  • Chiles made quite a few bucks due to QM Productions...he's in almost every show they did, multiple times.

  • From what I could tell, it wasn't until after 1973 or '74 that announcers began saying "A Quinn Martin Production" after the show title.

  • Hank Simms was the erstwhile announcer, and it wasn't till '74 that he added the "Quinn Martin Production" line to both this and Barnaby Jones.

  • A QUINN MARTIN PRODUCTION..

And his fat ass was cooking on the end

  • do you have any other openings to cannon

  • Yes...I will upload a few.

  • @SupremeTeam68 thank u

  • @eci4r

  • wiliam daniels, interesting

  • its about time season 2 vol, 1 is getting

    released in june

  • Man, the cop shows were so much better in the 70's! They all had their own personality and quirks. After Hawaii 5-0, Cannon was my fave...

  • @Mality Cannon, Hawaii Five-0, Starsky and Hutch, Baretta and many others were my favorite shows growing up as a kid. And they all had their own style and personality. I enjoyed them.

  • @Mality

How true! I can't tell much difference between the various cop shows on the air today! Oh how TVLand has changed. They used to show such wonderful classic shows of yesteryear. Oh the humanity... :(

  • No Quinn Martin show is complete without Linden Chiles...!
