Really great choices but for claire i would suggest either emily blunt or abbie cornish (if she could pull off the english accent) instead of Anna Friel. Or eva green
I like many of the casting choice. I think that Cate Blanchett is an excellent choice as Geillie. Helen MIrren is a fine choice as Jocasta. perhaps the man from the Underworld movies could be Ulysses, her servant. I wouldn't have thought of Jeremy Irons as Murtaugh but thinking about it I think it would be an inspired choice. Jason Isaacs IS Frank/ Black Jack Randall after the part that he played in the Patriot!
That is soooo Murtaugh! They all fit in my mind except Fergus; I picture him to have darker coloring. Gibaldon describes their physical characteristics so thoroughly and so often, so I'm going to be so disappointed if they botch the casting up. =( I think that the book fans should get to vote on finalists or something.
I just watched the lion king video hakuna matata (boyfriend got it stuck in my head!). Before watching though i was reading voyager and when Simba grows up in the video, he had the resemblance of Jamie Fraser, anyone else agree???
I want unknowns for the cast, I am tired of looking at the same faces in all the movies. and I want to see this movie/series and see claire and not every other character she has done before that
Very nicely done. I love getting different perspectives. Everyone sees things a little differently. Wonderful ideas. Check out mine when/if you get a chance.
This is beautifuly made. Music really gels with the visual. I dont entirely agree with all the casting but definately Jamie and Claire are right. Well done this was lovely to watch
I had thought of Anna Friel for Claire, she is probably up there in my top 3 choices, among which are Rachel Weisz and Keri Russell, but none of them seem to encompass ALL of Claire. There is one actress I thought would be absolutely perfect, but all I had to go on was a picture and I have no idea what her name is!
Well done! I loved almost all of your choices. Jude Law is perfect for Lord John, likewise for Sophia Myles, Liam Neeson, and Cate Blanchett for Laoghaire, Dougal and Geillis Duncan.
I had never thought of Jason Isaacs for Frank/Black Jack Randall, but he definitely works! And Jeremy Irons for Murtagh and Hugh Jackman for Ian seem to work really well too.
@saghiiee I completely agree and so do a majority of people, I alike them all except Stephen Bonnet, in the book he's described as a very big man, and the person that was chosed looks to small especially in the face. Kellan Lutz would work physically but not necessarily acting wise. there are others but I have this dislike of actors having to bleach there hair in order to play a blonde and Kellan is already reasonably blonde/light brown.
@saghiiee Although Gerard is a hunk he does not fit the description of Jamie in the Novel In my mind this is a perfect cast just as I pictured them all while reading the Outlander novel David Wenham is the perfect Jamie
why is everyone so stuck on gerard butler for jamie? he's got charisma and presence which anyone who plays jamie must have but he's just NOT the right choice. honestly they're just going to have to shop around for an unknown. gerard is entirely too weathered for this role. anyone see him trying to play "younger" in ps-i love you? that was HORRIBLE.
@JLouise80 I agree. I think that they will definitely have to scout around for a somewhat unknown actor, as no one I've come across resembles Jamie in the slightest! But if we're just going by whats out there in terms of big hollywood names, Gerard Butler is probably one of the only choices.
nix63 - I agree with you Keira Knightly would make the perfect Claire - if she would only put on a little weight. She has the perfect amount of "attitude" to be Claire Beauchamp!
i love gerard butler, but i dont think hes got the right look. like he doesnt really have the bone structure i think. i rekon maybe like karl urban... with a scottish accent and red hair... and he could do old jamie too. id kinda like to see kiera knightly as claire bu shes such a skeletor... which is unfortunate cuz shes beautiful.
I'm all for Gerard Butler being Jamie, but not in Outlander. He's the perfect image of the big, strong, older Jamie after Claire comes back. Gotta remember they're in their 40s or 50s for the rest of the books.
If they made movies of any of the books beyond Outlander, they'd need an older actress for Claire too.
I don't know why so many people have given you the thumbs down here, I guess it's because alot of people would be disappointed to see anyone else play Jamie. I have to agree with you though, since Jamie is supposed to be 23 when they first meet , it just wouldn't be believable to have Gerard play him then. I'm wracking my brains for who could play a young Jamie, but no success yet!
I agree. Gerard would make a fitting Jamie after their 20 year apart reunion. It's very hard to come up with an actor to cast for the young Jamie that would be suitable. Altho, you will remember that Claire was quite shocked to learn is real age, she thought he was much older. His face is sun worn and much more aged than a normal 23 year old. I'm still racking my brain over who I think would be worthy.
i dont either! i think hes great but jamie was in his early 20s! gerard cant pull that off now! i think we need an unknown scottish actor to come in and steal the show...yes?
yes, i think so too. famous actors would just ruin the character, because you have seen them in so many roles which you compare them to. unknown actors would be the best, not only for jamie! and gerald butler is really way too old..come on guys!
I still don't think Gerard Butler fits Jamie's image. I always thought that someone should go scour Scotland end to end, turn it inside-out to find a good Jamie. :)
@ShadowDancerin i soo agree with you!!!! read outlander in 3 days but i have to read some pages everyday. now I just have to waith that the next books are translated do my language :(
Essential Pictures has launched development of "Outlander" as a potential franchise based on the Diana Gabaldon series of fantasy novels.
The newly minted shingle's out to directors with an adaptation from Randall Wallace ("Braveheart"); the goal is to start production next spring. Gabaldon's series of six novels center on an 18th century Scottish Highlander and his time-traveling wife. aims to develop, finance and produce two to three films a year
The guy you have for Jack Randall is exactly who I imagined playing him in the film. You have some pretty great choices. I don't know about Fergus and Brianna, and Claire, but everyone else is awesome! For Claire I think Rachel Weisz would do awesome! Jamie, Gerard Butler is perfect! He is not too old, and when you put longer hair on him he looks younger! When I read the series, especially Outlander, I right away pictured Gerard Butler! Nice job!
Thanks for your comment. When I read these books I created a picture in my mind of what Jamie looked then one day I was on the net and saw a pic of Gerry and I was gobsmacked, he was exactly how I had imagined. We are all unique and create different pictures in our minds when we read books. It is going to be so difficult to make a movie of these books because not everyone will be pleased by the choice of actors to play such beloved characters.
1. Gerald butler is TOO OLD FOR JAMIE...he looks nothing like how I thought jamie would look.
2. HELLO the person you want as Fergus is quite ugly, he's supposed to be french and handsome.
3.Why such big name actors, wouldn't you want someone new and different.
4. If i see one more person say robert pattinson for young jamie, I will kill someone, just because he plays edward dosen't mean he has to play every other hot fictional guy
Fergus is meant to look french at least and have a tan that guys to white. i agree with the others Claire is wrong the hair and Jamie needs to have red red hair and roger needs to grow his. Ducan and Stephen are perfect just what you see when you read the books. The Ian's are awesome. Gerard looks to old for Jamie Though
Yes, that is Black Jack, alright! And Gerard makes a near perfect Jamie but the woman portraying Claire....I just can't feel that one. No curly hair, no ample derriere...And Julia Stiles for Brianna just doesn't fit quite right either. Maybe Nicole Kidman....red curly hair, tall, has the accent that could be turned into a Scottish one with work?? Food for thought, hm? One day the entire host of characters will present itself. Then a director who captures the feel of the story. Some day.....
My only problem with Gerard as Jamie is Gerard is too old. I LOVE that man, I think he is most beautiful man on the face of the planet, but Jamie is supposed to be in his early twenties, and Gerard is about forty something. Plus, Gerard doesn't have the wild red hair that Jamie does. It just wouldn't work I fear.
I would suggest Robert Pattinson for the young Jamie. Hes got the age, quite the looks and he has VERY wild hair ;))And hes are very god actor, I'm sure he could pull this off ;)
I agree, beautiful Gerry is really getting to old for the you Jamie *sniff*
i think people love him playing edward and that's why he just can't play jamie! you would always have twilight in mind. it's the same with the actors from harry potter, they're stuck in their role and that is sad, but that's the way it is. i would not want to see edward play the jamie!
I know what you mean. But hav you seen other Pattinson movies than Twilight? The haunted airman, how to be, Little ashes or ring of the nibelungs?
I don't even think of Edward (luckily. Sorry, but I think that Twilight was a huge misstep for Robert) when I watch them, especial the new ones. He is an incredible actor and is able to make you forget any of his other roles. Give it a try and watch eg Little Ashes. No glimpse of Edward, not once
yes i've seen the haunted airman and of course harry potter and i still don't see him as jamie. can't help it, he will stay edward for ever and i didn't even like the movie.
Well, at the end of the day its a matter of taste. Unfortunately its impossible to satisfy all outlander fans :( There will always be some who will complain about the choice of actors. For example my all-time favourite is Gerard Butler but I'm pretty sure that I will have to accept an other actor as Gerry gets to old for young Jamie :(
yeah, that's right. I personally think they shouldn't make a movie out of it at all, because if you're that obsessed with the books the movie probably won't satisfy you. I tend to hate the movies of my favourite books. And I also hate see the actors replace "my" characters in the book when reading them again if you know what I mean.
this is probably a ridiculous question, but i cant for the life of me remember what this song is from? i swear, this will keep me awake until i figure it out...
and i love almost everyone you have for the cast!
Outlander is a fantastic series, and while I like a LOT of Scottish/Irish actors (and realize some Americans can pull off a convincing burrrrr)...I could only ever see Gerard Butler doing Jamie. He probably won't because his agent would probably find it too similair to Timeline, *weep*, and the books are SOOOOO long and complicated....GB says his fans keep hurling the series at him, begging him to read it, begging him to play Jamie. Here's hoping they get through to him. We can dream, can't we??
Too bad they will probably NEVER make a movie of the series. There is just way to much involved with them and if they tried i think it would be a disappointment. Such as many other books made into motion pictures. But we can dream can't we.
If they asked Diana to condense the series, it would work. She created the people and the story, she could do it. abtw, Diana NEVER describes Jamie as drop dead handsome. He is carismatically, alluringly MALE. Gerard Butler, no matter what you do to him, could never be anything but drop dead gorgeous. Let him do some other movies, he is not Jamie. We need someone new, Scottish and able to be aged 20 years and still leave us panting with desire. The 'YUMMY' factor, NOT gorgeous.
Okay I might get some flak for this but I don't think Gerry is drop dead handsome. He is gorgeous but in a rugged way, he oozes charisma and he has the ability to change his appearance to suit the role eg Leonidas. However having said that the longer these movie negotiations continue the less likely Gerry has of playing the whole story of Jamie due to his age. Perhaps they will look at a younger unknown for young Jamie and Gerry for the older.
Well I would not completely loose all hope of ever seeing an Outlander Movie this time last year there was actually something in the works but the writers strike messed things up. On another note, loved the video and agree with the characters but Lord John and many of the other characters are NOT in Outlander, sorry been bugging me since I watched my first Outlander youtube video. There is NO WAY this series could EVER be condensed for a single movie or mini series.
I can't see Gerard Butler as Jamie. He's too rough looking. He would be a better Dougal. I can see Alex O'Loughlin as Jamie. He has blue eyes and a long straight nose. He can do a Scots accent. He just needs the red hair. I would like to see James MacAvoy as Ian and Dawn Steele as Jenny.
Oh, it'll definately have a lot to do with the way he looks. Jamie is so unique. The viking features of the high broad cheek bones, long straight nose, deep blue eyes, slanted so they make a triangle when he laughs...or is angry. He's striking bright red hair.....yeah, i'd say it matters a lot what he looks like, as well as if he can play the part
I quite like Anna Friel for Claire - would never had thought of her! Quite a lot of them are the same as mine, but Jason Isaacs was an inspired choice for Frank/BJR! Not sure on some of the others though - Emily Mortimer?
I have based my casting on more or less on Diana's descriptions in the book, Jenny is described as being petite but with a strong character and I thought Emily had that look.
has anyone ever seen james hetfield? the singer /lead guitarist from metallica. Back in the day when his hair was long..hed have been perfect for jamie. check him out
Yes Beckei there is a new book in the Outlander series, its called An Echo in the Bone, no release date as yet but you can read excerpts on Diana's website.
Some of my favorite suggestions so far! Jack Randall's great!
I wasn't a fan of Claire, Brianna or Murtaugh. I never would have thought of Jude Law, but that might actually work for me. And I love the Maggie Smith suggestion! Diana's suggested Liam Neeson for Jamie himself, but Gerard is growing on me...
Some interesting choices there - I'm not a fan of Colum, Murtaugh or Brianna, and I love the earlier suggestion of Maggie Smith for Jocasta. Frank/Jack looks great and Liam Neeson for Dougal also.
all of your characters are fine, really... but i think that gerard butler is a little too old to play young-Jamie...i mean, he was 23 or so in the first book and even with good makeup he is old.. anyway good job
Are you crazy - the man looks young - and yes things can be done about any slight wrinkle he might have (ever heard of computer graphics?). Anyway, Gerard Butler is young-looking.
Great Casting - esp GB as JAmie - spot on! Just finished the first book two minutes ago :) and found this by accident! Hope to see the saga as a movie - esp with these folks.
Theres A few I dissagree with. but i defently aprove of Jamie the girl you put is claire..maybe with contacts and some hair inprovement. I'll work on my own vid at somepoint. oh and i think you found Jack and Frank dead on.
Yeah lots of rumblngs going on but Diana Gabaldon is not committing until she knows they will do it right. At the moment Gerry is one of her favs for Jamie. The only problem I can forsee is how they are going to condense the books, maybe to a trilogy like LOTR I don't know, there is so much detail it is going to be a really difficult project. If they don't get it right I and many others will be very angry!!
Fantastic choices. Of course, Gerry as Jamie, who else? And Christian Bale as Roger. I do see Collum and Dougal younger and I've always seen Julie Christie in Finding Neverland as Jocasta. Otherwise one of the best so far!
I think Dougal and Callum should be portrayed by actors a wee bit younger.. say Clive Owen and Angus MacFadyen (much as I do absolutely love Liam Neeson) ?
LOVE your choice for Young Ian! I like Helen Mirren as Jocasta, as well, but I was thinking maybe Maggie Smith...
And I totally agree with the Jason Isaacs casting. No one else could play both Frank and Jack so well.
Hey wicked choices! Most were perfect! I think your choices for Claire and Roger were really good (and original!) And Of course, Gerard Butler everytime....
Thanks for your comment, it was pretty hard finding the right people but it was fun to make and I am very pleased with my choices. Gerry is Jamie, he has that wonderful Scottish accent, Oh and he's not bad looking either hee hee!I feel he is the only one who can do justice to the character beloved by so many.
Really great choices but for claire i would suggest either emily blunt or abbie cornish (if she could pull off the english accent) instead of Anna Friel. Or eva green

Hans Matheson is gorgeous and I think he would be perfect as Fergus
Lchell1975 2 years ago
What about Kevin Mckidd as Jamie? He is on Greys Anatomy now. He's from Scotland.
pjr0287 3 years ago
he is why i started watching Grey's Anatomy I love him!
Lchell1975 2 years ago
Fergus is meant to look french at least and have a tan that guys to white. i agree with the others Claire is wrong the hair and Jamie needs to have red red hair and roger needs to grow his. Ducan and Stephen are perfect just what you see when you read the books. The Ian's are awesome. Gerard looks to old for Jamie Though

Beautiful!! Perfect!!!
MTNsassenach 3 years ago
Oh my goodness! You've got Frank/Jonathon spot on! That is precisely how I imagined him!
Odonnolly 3 years ago
Yes, that is Black Jack, alright! And Gerard makes a near perfect Jamie but the woman portraying Claire....I just can't feel that one. No curly hair, no ample derriere...And Julia Stiles for Brianna just doesn't fit quite right either. Maybe Nicole Kidman....red curly hair, tall, has the accent that could be turned into a Scottish one with work?? Food for thought, hm? One day the entire host of characters will present itself. Then a director who captures the feel of the story. Some day.....
Kel4441 3 years ago
My only problem with Gerard as Jamie is Gerard is too old. I LOVE that man, I think he is most beautiful man on the face of the planet, but Jamie is supposed to be in his early twenties, and Gerard is about forty something. Plus, Gerard doesn't have the wild red hair that Jamie does. It just wouldn't work I fear.
Odonnolly 3 years ago
I would suggest Robert Pattinson for the young Jamie. Hes got the age, quite the looks and he has VERY wild hair ;))And hes are very god actor, I'm sure he could pull this off ;)
I agree, beautiful Gerry is really getting to old for the you Jamie *sniff*
LarsUlrichFan1988 3 years ago
i think people love him playing edward and that's why he just can't play jamie! you would always have twilight in mind. it's the same with the actors from harry potter, they're stuck in their role and that is sad, but that's the way it is. i would not want to see edward play the jamie!
LAMBinlovewithLION 2 years ago
I know what you mean. But hav you seen other Pattinson movies than Twilight? The haunted airman, how to be, Little ashes or ring of the nibelungs?
I don't even think of Edward (luckily. Sorry, but I think that Twilight was a huge misstep for Robert) when I watch them, especial the new ones. He is an incredible actor and is able to make you forget any of his other roles. Give it a try and watch eg Little Ashes. No glimpse of Edward, not once
LarsUlrichFan1988 2 years ago
yes i've seen the haunted airman and of course harry potter and i still don't see him as jamie. can't help it, he will stay edward for ever and i didn't even like the movie.
LAMBinlovewithLION 2 years ago
Well, at the end of the day its a matter of taste. Unfortunately its impossible to satisfy all outlander fans :( There will always be some who will complain about the choice of actors. For example my all-time favourite is Gerard Butler but I'm pretty sure that I will have to accept an other actor as Gerry gets to old for young Jamie :(
LarsUlrichFan1988 2 years ago
yeah, that's right. I personally think they shouldn't make a movie out of it at all, because if you're that obsessed with the books the movie probably won't satisfy you. I tend to hate the movies of my favourite books. And I also hate see the actors replace "my" characters in the book when reading them again if you know what I mean.
LAMBinlovewithLION 2 years ago
Edward is a freaking pansy and so is the actor. Jamie Fraser is 6 foot 4 and muscular-would snap Edward Cullen in half like a twig

this is probably a ridiculous question, but i cant for the life of me remember what this song is from? i swear, this will keep me awake until i figure it out...
and i love almost everyone you have for the cast!

Soljanka 3 years ago
hi,
I have seen all the castings in youtube about Outlander, but you have the best movie. The charakters are perfekt chosen.
Doro9 3 years ago
Outlander is a fantastic series, and while I like a LOT of Scottish/Irish actors (and realize some Americans can pull off a convincing burrrrr)...I could only ever see Gerard Butler doing Jamie. He probably won't because his agent would probably find it too similair to Timeline, *weep*, and the books are SOOOOO long and complicated....GB says his fans keep hurling the series at him, begging him to read it, begging him to play Jamie. Here's hoping they get through to him. We can dream, can't we??
ladyclaire300 3 years ago
Totally agree, takes a Scot to play a Scot and Gerry looks fantastic in a kilt!!!!
I keep dreaming, it may come true one day.
Teutonlass 3 years ago
Too bad they will probably NEVER make a movie of the series. There is just way to much involved with them and if they tried i think it would be a disappointment. Such as many other books made into motion pictures. But we can dream can't we.
djsillito8311 3 years ago
If they asked Diana to condense the series, it would work. She created the people and the story, she could do it. abtw, Diana NEVER describes Jamie as drop dead handsome. He is carismatically, alluringly MALE. Gerard Butler, no matter what you do to him, could never be anything but drop dead gorgeous. Let him do some other movies, he is not Jamie. We need someone new, Scottish and able to be aged 20 years and still leave us panting with desire. The 'YUMMY' factor, NOT gorgeous.
nannymac47 3 years ago
Okay I might get some flak for this but I don't think Gerry is drop dead handsome. He is gorgeous but in a rugged way, he oozes charisma and he has the ability to change his appearance to suit the role eg Leonidas. However having said that the longer these movie negotiations continue the less likely Gerry has of playing the whole story of Jamie due to his age. Perhaps they will look at a younger unknown for young Jamie and Gerry for the older.
Teutonlass 3 years ago
Well I would not completely loose all hope of ever seeing an Outlander Movie this time last year there was actually something in the works but the writers strike messed things up. On another note, loved the video and agree with the characters but Lord John and many of the other characters are NOT in Outlander, sorry been bugging me since I watched my first Outlander youtube video. There is NO WAY this series could EVER be condensed for a single movie or mini series.
SweetD0422 3 years ago
You make me dream... Thank you !
CaroGoul 3 years ago
I can't see Gerard Butler as Jamie. He's too rough looking. He would be a better Dougal. I can see Alex O'Loughlin as Jamie. He has blue eyes and a long straight nose. He can do a Scots accent. He just needs the red hair. I would like to see James MacAvoy as Ian and Dawn Steele as Jenny.
AudryR 3 years ago
although i agree Gerry would be amazing as Jamie really he's just too old cus jamies supposed to be really young isnt he?
MrsSnuffles08 3 years ago
Sure but in Hollywood, everything is possible... is not what he look like that will make him Jamie.... but the way he act !!!! ;)
CaroGoul 3 years ago
Oh, it'll definately have a lot to do with the way he looks. Jamie is so unique. The viking features of the high broad cheek bones, long straight nose, deep blue eyes, slanted so they make a triangle when he laughs...or is angry. He's striking bright red hair.....yeah, i'd say it matters a lot what he looks like, as well as if he can play the part
mycandandy 3 years ago
Denfinatly Jason Issacs for Frank/Jack Randall. H can play the smooth charmer easily but also he has a good dark side. Well Done.
eleanor198302 3 years ago
Could you tell me which soundtrack you used for your clip?
Thanks

great job!!!
MideonAbril 3 years ago
I quite like Anna Friel for Claire - would never had thought of her! Quite a lot of them are the same as mine, but Jason Isaacs was an inspired choice for Frank/BJR! Not sure on some of the others though - Emily Mortimer?
KatduGers 3 years ago
I have based my casting on more or less on Diana's descriptions in the book, Jenny is described as being petite but with a strong character and I thought Emily had that look.
Teutonlass 3 years ago
Great Casting! Loved the choices for Ian and Young Ian... and of course, Jamie (sigh).
MoDuinne7 3 years ago
Also, I think Blake Lively should play Brianna. Theyd have to die her hair but she definately has the right look!!
Beckei 3 years ago
Definitely agree with the choices for Laoghaire, Jenny, Ian (sr), Murtagh, and Lord John!
rmoore83 3 years ago
has anyone ever seen james hetfield? the singer /lead guitarist from metallica. Back in the day when his hair was long..hed have been perfect for jamie. check him out
clc9010 3 years ago
Wish they would just make the movie.I can't stand the wait,it's bad enough I have to wait til next year tfor the new book!!!!!
HARLOT12 3 years ago
Do you mean theres a new book coming out for the outlander series?! or a new book by her.. If yes to the outlander series where can i read about it?!
Beckei 3 years ago
Yes Beckei there is a new book in the Outlander series, its called An Echo in the Bone, no release date as yet but you can read excerpts on Diana's website.
Teutonlass 3 years ago
Some of my favorite suggestions so far! Jack Randall's great!
I wasn't a fan of Claire, Brianna or Murtaugh. I never would have thought of Jude Law, but that might actually work for me. And I love the Maggie Smith suggestion! Diana's suggested Liam Neeson for Jamie himself, but Gerard is growing on me...
Nicely done!
caitlanc 4 years ago
I think frank is perfect!
But I dont know why everyone want gerard butler to play jamie!
I love Gerard Butler but he just doesnt seem to be the right pick.
Cool Video though!
louzergrl182 4 years ago
I agree with your choices, are to perfect except, perhaps Dougal. Congratulations, your work is wonderful!!!
Katies234 4 years ago
Some interesting choices there - I'm not a fan of Colum, Murtaugh or Brianna, and I love the earlier suggestion of Maggie Smith for Jocasta. Frank/Jack looks great and Liam Neeson for Dougal also.

So right on. I'm 55 and he's so HOTTTT!!! I hope someone se this and they get it right
HARLOT12 4 years ago
all of your characters are fine, really... but i think that gerard butler is a little too old to play young-Jamie...i mean, he was 23 or so in the first book and even with good makeup he is old.. anyway good job
18sstee 4 years ago
i think like you. every person forget that jamie for the first 3 books is young..and gerard butler is a little too old for the characters of jamie
arychan 4 years ago
Are you crazy - the man looks young - and yes things can be done about any slight wrinkle he might have (ever heard of computer graphics?). Anyway, Gerard Butler is young-looking.
ArmindaHeart 4 years ago
ok!! gee don't bite my head off! i just tought that it's easier to find some young guy and make him age along the movie...
i like GB too, and i've HEARD OF PC graphics, but maybe it's better to learn how to take NO as an answer.
Sorry for offending your personal hero-god...
18sstee 4 years ago
Hi again like i said before perfect on all choices except one. What do you thing about Jane Seymore for Claire?Maybe?
stonehenge913 4 years ago
too old

Have to agree with Lchell1975 Jane is too old.

I just finished reading The Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts and loved it so much- now I gotta read this outlander cause it sounds so good!
What movie is the pics of Gerard Butler and the chick claire from?
ebbeez 4 years ago
The Gerry pic is from Beowulf & Grendel.
Anna Friel is Claire, she starred with Gerry in Timeline.
Teutonlass 4 years ago
Good Laoghaire, Jenny, Murtagh and Jaimie (without the beard).
I didn't like Fergus though. Or Geillis Duncan.
Brianna was good too.

Great Casting - esp GB as JAmie - spot on! Just finished the first book two minutes ago :) and found this by accident! Hope to see the saga as a movie - esp with these folks.
bibe0007 4 years ago
Theres A few I dissagree with. but i defently aprove of Jamie the girl you put is claire..maybe with contacts and some hair inprovement. I'll work on my own vid at somepoint. oh and i think you found Jack and Frank dead on.
darkeyedrakin 4 years ago
Are There any talks to make a real movie out of these books?
Lchell1975 4 years ago
Yeah lots of rumblngs going on but Diana Gabaldon is not committing until she knows they will do it right. At the moment Gerry is one of her favs for Jamie. The only problem I can forsee is how they are going to condense the books, maybe to a trilogy like LOTR I don't know, there is so much detail it is going to be a really difficult project. If they don't get it right I and many others will be very angry!!
Teutonlass 4 years ago
Claire has to have bright whisky couloured cat eyes. With curling brown hair.
Nice job, beautiful music.

Fantastic choices. Of course, Gerry as Jamie, who else? And Christian Bale as Roger. I do see Collum and Dougal younger and I've always seen Julie Christie in Finding Neverland as Jocasta. Otherwise one of the best so far!
blueangel104 4 years ago
Hi blueangel104 , you know ho makes a really good Jamie too? Josh Holloway. You should see the video named "Outlander in our view" , is really good
bye

Getting lots of comments on Collum and Dougal I do agree they should be younger but I just love Liam Neeson in that photo!
Teutonlass 4 years ago
amen to that I LOVE ROB ROY!

**applause**
Wonderful job!!
This was about as close to what I envision in my mind.... GREAT choices!!
xxxDuchessxxx 4 years ago
I think Dougal and Callum should be portrayed by actors a wee bit younger.. say Clive Owen and Angus MacFadyen (much as I do absolutely love Liam Neeson) ?
LOVE your choice for Young Ian! I like Helen Mirren as Jocasta, as well, but I was thinking maybe Maggie Smith...
And I totally agree with the Jason Isaacs casting. No one else could play both Frank and Jack so well.
Nice work !
reisesuechtig 4 years ago
Hey wicked choices! Most were perfect! I think your choices for Claire and Roger were really good (and original!) And Of course, Gerard Butler everytime....
Jazm1n000 4 years ago
Thanks for your comment, it was pretty hard finding the right people but it was fun to make and I am very pleased with my choices. Gerry is Jamie, he has that wonderful Scottish accent, Oh and he's not bad looking either hee hee!I feel he is the only one who can do justice to the character beloved by so many.
