  • Very appropriate as tomorrow is Remembrance Sunday.

  • Thanks to everyone for your comments. It saddens me that so many of our servicemen and women have been killed and injured since I recorded this last year. I think this hymn has declined in popularity as many may feel that it's too jingoistic - for instance, in this hymn Arkwright dismisses the carnage of World War 1 as 'our lesser Calvaries'. but it is perhaps typical of its time when people didn't want to hear about the sadness and desolation of war.

  • Appropriate tune for the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

  • A lovely stirring hymn that touches the heart.

  • I remember going to the cenotaph as a boy and singing O Valiant Hearts. It isn't heard as much now, but is still popular with veterans.

  • Well played, my British friend on this very special Remembrance Sunday! Thanks for uploading! Greetings from the United States of America!

  • Thanks for commenting. It's been a sad time for both our countries recently, but at least we can remember the work that our forces do for us.
