@PURPLESBABY Those aren't an x, they are the double sharp sign, basically it is a whole tone above the notated note. So if you have F double sharp, you play a G natural.
@isausol That's not true at all, you're misleading him.
The double sharp is TWO HALF STEPS from the natural of the note. If a B has a double sharp, then the note being played should be a C#, not a fucking C as you suggest. Same goes for E. If E has a double sharp next to it, the note that should be played is F#. Don't answer questions if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. You ruin theory for the rest of us.
@MrsFunsocks Actually, what you said is exactly what I said, but using American Music Theory Terms. Also, using the term "from the note" is ambiguous as it can go either way. Two half steps above the note is the same as saying Two semitones or a wholetone above the note in British Music Theory (and most other theories as well). Make sure that you know other terminology before you ruin your own music theory. I do know what I am "fucking" talking about. Idiot.
@isausol "From the note" is not ambiguous as I provided two examples. If your musically retarded mind cannot process that, then I feel sorry for you. You were ambiguous with your answer, not I. Just accept that you were wrong, because you actually were. You don't have to come on here acting like you are superior because you have to do Google searches before you respond. I laughed after reading your reply, because I know you had to. Your lack of knowledge and pedantic antics humor me.
@MrsFunsocks Lack of knowledge? I'm sorry, I actually have studied music at A Level thank you very much. I do not need a "Google Search" for my data. Also, I never mentioned anything about a B or a C at all. All I posted was a link to wikipedia's image of a C# and a C double sharp to show what a double sharp looked like. I wasn't ambiguous at all with my answer in any way. You need to take a good look at oneself before passing judgement on others.
@isausol LOL. Not ambiguous? And I quote, "basically it is a whole tone above the notated note. So if you have F double sharp, you play a G natural." Right... So if I have an E, that means I play a F. From what you said of course. Still, retarded. It's YouTube buddy, just accept you were wrong. A "whole tone" does not mean two steps, it means the note above, regardless of steps. F# to G# and so forth. That meaning, B double sharp would mean C? You're wrong. Just stop fighting it.
@MrsFunsocks You are an idiot, a whole tone is two semitones or a major second. So a whole tone from E is an F#, not an F. A whole tone in the american system is also known as a whole step. For further iteration of this fact, it is also 200 cents in tuning in the equal temperament system where a semitone is 100 cents. I am not going to stop fighting someone who is stupidly saying I am wrong when I am clearly not and they are. Go back to school and learn music theory.
@MrsFunsocks You are so wrong. What isausol writes is perfectly right, and if you had a brain OR studied music theory with it you, would know that there is only a half tone between E/F and BC. Thats music theory! EVERY KEY ON THE PIANO IS A HALF TONE APART!!!!! Now shut up and read a book! I Suggest usic theory for dummies.
Why doesn't the piano burst into flames when someone plays this song? Do they make fire resistant piano's? Why didn't Beethoven's piano burst into flames? Must've used a ton of pianos.
I love this song. I hope Im not the only teen out their who loves classical music. This song is also really hard. i am trying to play it and i am... going slowly. and.... The trebble clef goes on top if it SHOWS it on top. in this song, the treble and bass move around alot. So please like this so it can be at the top and people will understand the treble and bass concept.
Hi, everybody! I have a question...My teacher gave me a choice on whether I will learn this or not. I'm not sure if I'm ready. (I just finished learning Invitation to the Dance if that helps... If you're going to watch the a video for that piece, you should listen to the whole thing)
@GuildWars201 putting the base clef for the right hand is just a way of not writing lejer (spelling?) lines, its played by the right hand below the middle C
When I heard Horowitz's interpretation of this piece, I laughed at how he played everything, especially at 0:35 - 0:38. But then when I heard the computer play that part, I finally understand he was playing it right after all. It just sounds so wrong since I usually hear it played differently... Anyway, does anyone have any idea of a piece by Mozart which sounds the same in some parts of these piece? I forgot the piece's title so if anyone can help I really appreciate it. :)
there are tons of problems with the music and overall having a computer play it is simply sub par. the true beauty is found with an actual piano. but alas, whoever went through the trouble to convert this whole movement to the computer deserves praise
@RGmaestro Listen to Appasionata, Mazeppa, Wilde Jagd, Rachmanioff's 3rd concerto and Flight of the bumbebee cziffra's version and you will want to play the piano.
It's very cool how you did this but there is no contrast in the music, such as the first big pause in the beginning, not a lot of drama or sound. There is no dynamics. The second theme sounds like someone is just pounding every note equally when there should be a crescendo then piano and then leads up to a forte. I don't like digital pianos personally, and like only a few software programs for music
Did you use a software? Or did you play it? I'm just asking cuz, I wish someone would play the Dance of the Baroness perfectly using this "style". Is there a software for this out there???? Please tell me...

OUCH!!!! The orchestra part sounds hurtful(psst - inputting tips:try adding rest between notes to make it sound staccato). that part was supposed to be staccato, not legato...
@hayama317 if u notice at 1:14 and 1:04, the entire phrase is very staccato and very musch like different intruments being played. That is the part that must be orchestrated for example, at 1:04, D# must be softer than the other notes becoause it is the so called 'decoration'. The tune of that phrase must be heard more prominently than the repeated notes.

@zjenas the idea of this channel is not to listen to the music, but to play it yourself using the sheet music I have posted. the sound is basically a guideline.
@zjenas i think its actually pretty cool, this way you can pause it and relook at exactly whats going on. Like i have no interest in learning this whole song or anything but there are a few little runs there that would sound cool on guitar and this is a good way to learn it kinda.
Goddamn. This gives me the goosebumps. I found a pdf download of this movement as soon as I listened to this. I'm bringing the printed copy to my piano coach next Thursday in hopes she'll train me to play this piece for my winter 2009 recital. <33

@Selendomono Wrong. Its easier than it looks, bear the repeated passages in mind please. The una sinistra isin't doing too much most of the time.

WOW!!!! Just compare this to the first movemonet of this same song, and it's so different!!! But this is still beautiful... I am SO learning how to play this!!!

Be careful, because it is a pain in every spot to learn. That's what my friend said.
Starbirdy9999 2 years ago
I've never thought about it that way, TheGatogirll! the first movement is all calm, and then, THIS! Wow.

yes, and the point is, it isn't played at all, the software does it here, so i think it's quite lame to upload this, correct me if i'm wrong plz

@zjenas the idea of this channel is not to listen to the music, but to play it yourself using the sheet music I have posted. the sound is basically a guideline.

ok, I see, my apologies, I was looking for a played version, I didn't know that.
zjenas 1 year ago
@hayama317 ok, my apologies, i misunderstood the purpose of the channel, beside that, you've done a great job!
zjenas 1 year ago
@zjenas i think its actually pretty cool, this way you can pause it and relook at exactly whats going on. Like i have no interest in learning this whole song or anything but there are a few little runs there that would sound cool on guitar and this is a good way to learn it kinda.

Goddamn. This gives me the goosebumps. I found a pdf download of this movement as soon as I listened to this. I'm bringing the printed copy to my piano coach next Thursday in hopes she'll train me to play this piece for my winter 2009 recital. <33
