I agree with the 70s-Freddie comment. i much prefer Freddie's 70s-big-hair-androgenous-cool to his 80s-crew-cut-mustachioed-biker persona. To me he was one person in the 70s (cool) and another in the 80s (lame). With the exception of THE GAME (1980) which was admittedly good, I lost all interest in Queen after the 80s. To me the band only exists between 1972 to 1980. Everything after that is just radio doo doo. Despite this, they are one of my all-time favorite bands.

Don't know why, maybe this the scpecific feature of that time, all this glam and so on, that caused Queen's songs, and not only songs but also their appearance at stage, so artistic, so elaborate, so ellegant, so perfectly arranged... in 1980s this was a different band with a different attitude and aims, I think...
