@MrANDREWPATRICK It's in details a little different than you describe. It's about a former manager (Norman Sheffield) who ripped Queen of!! John Deacon great on the base and wrote some of Queens most memorible songs...So glad I can now share your music with my own kids...The Show Must Go On....
I agree with the 70s-Freddie comment. i much prefer Freddie's 70s-big-hair-androgenous-cool to his 80s-crew-cut-mustachioed-biker persona. To me he was one person in the 70s (cool) and another in the 80s (lame). With the exception of THE GAME (1980) which was admittedly good, I lost all interest in Queen after the 80s. To me the band only exists between 1972 to 1980. Everything after that is just radio doo doo. Despite this, they are one of my all-time favorite bands.
Don't know why, maybe this the scpecific feature of that time, all this glam and so on, that caused Queen's songs, and not only songs but also their appearance at stage, so artistic, so elaborate, so ellegant, so perfectly arranged... in 1980s this was a different band with a different attitude and aims, I think...
When I was young I used to watch a cartoon video of this song. I remember there was a mill and some cards I think. Does anybody knows about it or where can I watch it? Thanks!
Accidentally bought "Night at the Opera" not knowing who Queen were in 1976. Brought it home, listened to this song and was changed musically forever.
@fenderdude78 NO, it's not just you, in fact I thought most liked 70's metal Freddie-he looked ridiculous in the 80's-well he looks kinda ridiculous here too, but when you are that talented I guess you can appear how ever strange, disturbing&eccentric as you want--this song rocks though and Queen kicks ass.His perclivities have no affect on that
@32Rainking Don't forget it where the 70's!! Each time had their own fashion and style. Look how David Bowie and Elton John looked like in those years!!! By the way, I think Freddie lookes awesome in those leotards!! I prefer these looks than his style in the 80's, with that fuckin moustache!!
@queenandi you see I start my post w/no, it's not just you(in response to your post) so I meant I prefer his 70's look to that 80 dooshy moustached, uner-gay look-but I didn't like either, as far as Bowie and especially Elton John go, I view Bowie as a lame Artist w/ one or two good songs&Elton John just sucks-no matter what they look like&I'm not homophobic b/c I love Queen.

@michelle31891 Yup, I think he built it with his dad. Isn't it called the Red Special or something like that? I think May is a very underrated guitarist. He really knows how to make a solo fit perfectly with a song, even if it's a song that hardly has any guitar in it like Gold Old Fashioned Lover Boy. No one sounds quite like Brian May.

I'm so impressed by this man !!! I love when he talks to the audience, he's so funny and charming. :-)
What an entertainer he was ! What a showman !
"Listen to me, Lovies !" That's too cute !!!
I'm definitely in love with Freddie...
By the way, I love this song, Freddie is well inspired when he gets angry, lol. "Kiss my ass, goodbye".

When the four were not a band formed, then we would have never met such terrific music. Thank God they did! :-) Petra
