@57sicko Don't know about the Guitar Centre deal. I would say the harp is worth trying out, but it is different. You can play the harp normally like any other harp, but the ability to blow bend holes 1 to 6 and draw bend holes 7 to 10 is achieved by valving these holes and playing them is tough.
@DannyGrease Hi Danny. No I haven't yet. I would like to play it next time on an a regular non valved F harp (as Igor Flach used on this song). Cheers.
Hello, i would just like to say i bought myself a Suzuki Overdrive today and i love it first project i have is to learn this song thank you for posting the tabs and your amazing version of it
Hello, i live in Toronto and i was wondering where i could purchase a good harmonica i much perfer going into a store than buying online ive been playing for about 2 years on a 15 dollar harmonica and ive had enough thanks
thank you so much again for returning my message. i am Eleven and i want to learn how to play like you! if it is not to much to ask can you give me another tab with the numbers separated if not that is fine... thanks again. Flubbberbob
@d2guru82 i got mine valved pro in F for 25 ls here in latvia = 50 usd also hammond was 50 usd and simple promaster was 46 usd but i like hammond better :)
@flubbberbob Yes it is. It's a suzuki promaster 350V. It is a good harmonica with a metal comb and unusually it has valves (like on a chromatic) on the reeds. I don't know how much it costs in the States, maybe 100 Dollars.
@hmrabenberg: I believe you are correct, I think Igor is playing a Suzuki Harpmaster in the key of F, played 2nd position for the song in the key of C. However, I am using a more widely used key of C harmonica for this piece, which obviously works ok, but perhaps lacks some of the attack produced by more draw notes used on the F harp. When I get around to buying an F harp, I may post this song again with a new tab. Cheers K
Ta for your comment about bending blow notes. It's true you can't blow bend these notes on a normal diatonic harp although you can give them some expression to sound different to a straight blow. However you can blow bend these notes on the Suzuki Promaster 350V I'm using as they have valves on the reeds to make this possible. Brendan Power has a good review on you tube on the Promasters.
Thank you very much for the brilliant analysis of Ivor Flach's work. Now I see how he put it together. I've watched the original many times and have set my self the challenge of playing it, at least to a fair level, although I am a little more than a beginner and started too late in life to be really any good at it. I even bought a Suzuki Promaster to get all the blow bends.
