My father has the same heartdisease (we discovered that around octobre 2011) and since it's genetic the family was really scared me or my sisters would have it too..
Luckily me and my sister's are safe, but it ruined the life of my dad
He's a truckdriver and now he isn't allowed to drive anymore.
We're now waiting for him to get a defibrilator but I'm really scared that won't be enough...
