Its a great design but having everything in the center of the space makes it look alot smaller. If you mount everything against a wall it will give a more open feel to the room
this is 1 of the best vids I have seen. I love it. so exciting and thrilling. Where can I buy this product? Also, how do u get the sink to run water, in the middle of the apt? Obviously, u have a bathroom sink but what about in the middle of the suitcase? And did u have to disassemble the suitcase to MOVE it INTO the tiny apt?
@shygirlnow2011 You could try contacting the architects: floresprats . com I don't know a lot of the details as I just filmed the video, though I do know that the front steps hide storage so I'm guessing the plumbing comes in under the floor somehow.
I can see why she keeps calling it a suitcase but that concept makes me feel homesick. I wouldn’t feel comfortable living like that, figuratively but also quite literally “out of a suitcase” because while everything is made compact and has plural uses, she makes poor use of the space in the apartment. Small spaces need to be open to feel larger and she has everything piled up, very much like an open suitcase, in the middle of the room.
It's so ugly it could be a modern art masterpiece. Compression furniture is nice, but the positioning of the main bloc is off. And the link to this made it seem like those "trunks" could be moved fairly easily when one has to move. I have my doubts.
it is big mistake to place those two furniture islands in the center and destroy sense of space, the kitchen is unfunctional and its opened opened part dosnt make any use, 27 sqare meters its a lot of space, i live in 24 square meters and i have more independence, more space, and more functionality without 'transformed furniture' like those in movie... sory but your project is a mistake, i dont believe that anyone can live there more than few days or weeks.. without mental diseases
in my opinion this was made unnecesserily, this is only need of doing those transformed furnitures which are popular today but current are not useful and unfunctional. lots of space is lost 'by being used only to spread furnitures', lots of space is wasted to communication, there is no logical need to create two separarte corridors,
She forgot to show us the cabinet that stores the scoop that allows me to lobotomize my sense of asthetics. This is the most offensive concept that I've ever witnessed.
Ugly as hell, who wants a big block in the middle of their living space? How do you move out, punch a hole in the wall?
Ideal for Art Galleries, Antarctic or space stations. Next.
Very cool idea, but I think the space could have been designed in a different way. Having the things in the middle I feel it wastes space, but they are on the right track.
The sad thing is that I got a several acre property and farmhouse in America for what this poor lady pays for her sacrifices in life quality in Spain.
Seems like a great apartment. However, it seems like you could have used the walls more. How about a bed that folds-up on the wall and lots of shelves with a small kitchenette on one side of the room. That would leave the middle open for a couch and entertainment center.
It is very interesting and I love the concept. However, I am not a fan of this particular setup. It seems cramped like a storage unit, not cozy like a small house or apartment.
It lacks character and warmth. There is no reason that it has to be in the middle of the room. You could seperate the pieces and it would take up no more room and allow for personal expression. And moving it would be easy.
One of the main reasons I like the tiny homes if bc they feel cozy . This space is to clean and cold for my taste . Its still a green way of life tho , so ya cant complain to much I guess .
@clamcrabber There are some great videos on that topic, some people are buying used containers and doing just that. I saw an awesome set-up on one of RT's shows. (RT America) and here watch?v=65C9OLvmjpI

@shygirlnow2011 If I'm not mistaken she mentioned that the owners build it themselves... So best case scenario you can get the plans.

That's ridiculous. 290 square feet is big enough to have a kitchen area with a stove and full size fridge and a bed and a couch.

I agree, the idea is nice but the placement of the furniture makes the room seem much smaller than it already is.
