I was looking at different headlines on the day she died. When I got to the one where it said she died, I must have looked at that link for a minute frozen in shock at what I just read. It's still sad to think she's dead. We need more people in the world like the Golden Girls. I swear life sometimes is unfair.

I´m from Germany, too and I loved the "Golden Girls". Still do. My favourite has always been Bea (Dorothy). But with her emmy speech Rue convinced me completely of her and had my deepest respect. I hate the two newscasters. They do their jobs as if they were robots without any human emotion.

As sad as it is that she died, she has to be (along with Bea, Betty and Estelle) the most beloved woman ever on television. Very few people can say they left a mark quite like Rue. Blanche has literally provided millions of people with hope and laughter.
