Robert Boyle (1627-1691) showed gases will expand or contract to fill the space available.

The axiom is Government programs expand or contract to fill the tax revenues available Mathematically represented by

(Government spending) x (bureaucratic waste) =our taxes. Lower any one of the variables on the left and taxes go down but government is out of control.

So the taxpayers can lower the right side and let Tallahassee take responsibility for balancing the left side.

This Property Tax cap is a win-win situation for Florida. It took a citizen led initiative in California in 1978..called Proposition 13 to rein in property taxes. It worked there and it can work here. My hats off to Marco Rubio and this coalition for trying to put money back in my pocket. Local govt leaders have been in my pockets so long, that I no longer know who's standing in my shoes, me or them.
