  • sounds good...

  • Straight piping ur cummins gains power it doesn't lose anything.

  • man what is differnt between the W250 & the D250.... any1??

  • I think there must have been a couple hot babes in the bushes that turned the turbo on because its really whistling!

  • straight piping and losing power? nope. the cat on these trucks were way restrictive

  • sounds like a freakin semi like that! but still- nice truck

  • so do u get extra power that way?

  • @454sskilla with straightpiping it? you usually lose power.

  • Love the Cummins sound, and the transmission shifts kindly, this does not shake the truck .Awesome sound when the windows are closed

    Good job man

  • Nice truck man

  • i seen ur truck before

  • Nice work you did a very clean and well done install again good job

  • My 93 now has a very short side dump below the passenger door. Temporary set up .. still 3 inch and jerry rigged a little.

    I like your idea:

    4" downpipe.

    5" inch pipe.

    6" tip out the side.

I might go with that, although a 6 inch tip will be a bit low since mine is 2WD.

  • great sound.

  • Can you do a burn out.

  • how many liters pers mile?

  • liters... really?

  • love the camera shake.

  • nice dennis

  • its a shame.....my stroker is straightpiped, and still doesn't have that nice sound....i guess the cummins sixes are just better for that

  • actually jrb, diesel engines emit HALF the environmental pollution than your gasoline engines do

  • stomp tht B!!

  • is this post for your mom? Now "Billy" drive your truck nice nice!

  • love the slow acceleration. sounds exactly like my dads peterbilt 379 with a 565 cummins

  • next video make a burnout !!! yeahhh

  • Drop the Hammer!!!

  • Though I'm more of a car person, whenever I get a truck, it will always be a Dodge Cummins.

  • Its the only thing id ever buy. if i were to get a Diesel that is.

  • ummm ya some power, you know how to rip on a car.

  • where do you live?

  • i rolled around with mine with just the downpipe on for a few days, and it resonated so bad in the cab that i could feel it in my chest, but i loved the sound...

  • nice truck man

would be nice if it was louder tho

  • in which state was it filmed?

  • you need the AFE Stage 2 intake so that turbo can really scream.

  • I stopped watching when I found out that it was an automatic. I'm disappointed.

  • ah cmon youre names Ford F350 if its got a powerstroke you should know diesels got some balls under the hood, although id be givin it a bit more fuel while drivin

  • no I know man I know your rig prob shits n gits fa show!

  • you should put duel stacks on her

  • nice truck dee!

    <3MaryEllis

  • ooh man i would have got on the gas pedal. sounds very nice! :P

  • Check out the video I responded with...

  • What's up man? Cool vid. I just uploaded a short straight pipe vid. See you on DTR!

  • i just took the mufflers of my mercedes 300 turbo diesel! totaly sounds like a cummins with the exhaust

  • The cummins diesel is a 6 cylinder

  • Yep :).

  • @kannanballs no shit!

  • Sounds really nice wish I had a truck like that only a 2500 prob

  • I don't get it...Why take it out if you're not going to get on it??????

  • build a fire in the som bitch or something man cumon

  • Thank You... Dodger from RoR. Sound works great... ill have it for download pretty soon on RoR

  • not good

  • automatic :(

  • It gets around 18MPG, and I'm hoping it will get up to around 20 or so when I start BOMBing it... but then again I'll have to keep my foot out of the floor :). My dually has 3.55 gears and an upgraded transmission that helps keep things locked up, so there is very little fuel spent on power not going to the wheels.

I also have a '96 2600 that is/will be completely stock for its lifetime, it gets around 16MPG with 4.10 gears.

  • Do you know how much MPG that truck does, BTW Nice little ride.

  • slow drive nice sound

  • Hey DFO, Great video!!!! Cin's Dodge

  • About the tranny, if you get an auto its a must to upgrade it before you upgrade power. I have a Dave Goerend torque converter and valve body on a freshly rebuilt transmission, good to around 350-400HP.

  • oh now i know what it is ive seen some of the sled vids on here and i hear it alot sorta that wshiwshiwshiwshi kinda sound

    sounds great

ill let ya know if i get my truck and what i should do with it

im thinkin dual stacks (6inchs) mitre cut along with edge a2 w/ camera and k/n airfilter and prolly a new trans/torque converter

are there any upgrade 6 speed autos for the 02 autos? thanks man

    matt

  • The 02s don't have 6 speed autos, they are 4spds just like my trucks. They also have a 5spd and the HO versions have a 6spd. I'd skip the K&N filter and go with an AFE Stage 1 or a BHAF if you are tight on money. I'll probably just go with the BHAF anyway. You should also look into an aftermarket lift pump to extend the life of your VP44 injection pump.

  • lol lots to type... why don't you check out dieseltruckresource DOT com? I'm a member there and you should be able to get any questions answered in a matter of minutes.

  • wats barking the turbo? hey im ur man im a diesel only guy too

are those hard to install? coulda 16 yr old do it? i refuse to drive until dad gets me my 02!

  • Barking the turbo occurs when you let off the gas quickly after a really hard run, and the air gets all "confused" inside the turbo and makes a kind of "chopping" sound. Its different than a wastegate or a blowoff valve sound. Some of the sledpulling guys do it at the end of their runs, as far as I know that is why they blip the throttle to prevent that from happening b/c its not good for the turbo.

  • You could easily install an exhaust system on your truck, its really not that hard. The hardest part was getting the old one out because everything was all rusted. It was all smooth sailing after that.

  • its called compressor surge. The excess air in the turbo and intercooler system (which has nowhere to go once you lift off the gas) drastically slows down your turbine wheel, which is why it could bend or even break.. causing severe damage to your turbo.

The risk is a lot lower if you have a ball-bearing turbo.

Blow-off or recirculation valves are used to get rid of this air..

  • oh and by the way, I don't really think that the turbo cares that much whether there's an exhaust underneath your car or not, since the engine only gets its air out easier now. You do want a bit of back-pressure from the exhaust though, so your power output might be slightly smaller.

And stock diesels normally have a recirculation valve, so unless you hear "chopping" or "fluttering" sounds you do not have to worry about your turbo.

  • turbo spooling = me falling over with delight

  • sounds good, but thats not real good for your turbo.

  • And how is it not good for the turbo? Larger pipe = better airflow = cooler EGTs = happier turbo.

Now BARKING the turbo is bad, but I don't make near enough power to do that to a HX35 :).
