its good but its not realistic the pedals stay in the same place instead of moving with the chair. fix that and you have one of the best chairs in the world ;)
@sheepborg Well, what i was hinting at with my comment was that only the seat is moving. Therefore the steering wheel changes distance from you and nothing else is moving.. As seen on many other models, the whole aparatus is moving, not just a bumpy seat. Thats why I say bad design. Why put money into it if you arent going to do it right. :[
When you are driving your seat isnt independent of the vehicle.
@vortex812 There are arguments in both directions.
For one, the full scale moving ones are not capable of very fast bumping and all needed for rally. Another thing is that when you think about it, you actually do move around in the seat, getting pressed back into it moves you back, so while the movement is not perfect then it is not awful. Cheaper too.
Now the big ones are nice too, for some of the turning forces (at least those from a road car are possible)
I'd like to know what actuators you use. It sounds like Pneumatics but I can't really tell... I think about building a simulator for a long time now and noone really give some details about their constructions...
@McNugget6750 Thanks m8, I'm using SCN5 actuators (100mm) ! If you plan to build your own motion simulator, you should visit the X-Sim community for tons of reports and details... and also please visit sim-parts . com - maybe you'll find some interesting parts, information and new ideas ;-) !
@simparts i don't get it you spent all this money and you want it to be immersive then why not trying in 3d vision?? i got 100 inch 3d projector screen with 3d vision kit and all i can tell you is wow wow wow!!! i can feel the sense of speed in game world and i can even judge when to brake the car on corner. all you guys are missing out what true experience is.
thats how my grandpa treats his back problems.

It is more than just a bumpy seat
sheepborg 1 month ago
@sheepborg no it's just a bumpy seat.
fcguy7 1 month ago
@fcguy7 It is a seat that moves, and as i said, it has many advantages to it.
It still gives you the side to side and acceleration/braking feeling in addition to supplying strong bumps.
It works to the same affect but with slightly weaker side to side.

@MrJamesthegooner James, these are aluminium profiles for industrial use. Original ones are, for example, from Bosch or Item here in Germany.
