  • Kiri had a very short stint singing minor roles when she first join the ROH in 1971. She sang Xenia, Rheinmaidens from Parsifal, Sacerdotessa and was the understudy as Liu to Birgit Nillson's Turandot but sadly she never sang the part on stage before she rose to the fore as Countessa in Figaro and the rest as they say is history.....
