  • I was happy when I learned this bass line..not difficult but rewarding.

  • omg! I always thought this was on the debut album!

  • The best song ever written. Black Sabbath rule.

  • Great song! I love this album cover :p

  • that's not the album cover for master of reality. thats for their self titled debut.

  • how often did they play this live

  • best song ever!

  • this and planet caravan are really trippy songs.. awesome!

  • Just to clear up any confusion, this is OZZY singing. Bill Ward did not do the vocals on this one, but I agree that it does sound a bit like him.

  • amazing song

  • ya if u really listen 2 it its totally Ozzy hes Very young here

  • No, my goodness it is NOT!!! It is Bill Ward. The drummer sang this one.

  • someone told me it was Iommi that sings this one.

  • The world is a lonely place - you're on your own

Guess i will go home - sit down and moon

Crying and thinking is all that i do

Memories i have remind me of you

    Iommy, Ward, Ousbourne, Butler

  • "my name it means nothing my fortune is less my future is shrouded in dark wilderness sunshine is far away clouds linger on..."

it so reminds me of me for the obvious and not so obvious reasons...

  • sabbath and this whole album are so ahead of its time, it's unreal!

  • good song. Ulver made a good remake on their album Shadows of the Sun

  • Whose singing this?

  • black sabbath

  • ummmm are u retarted

  • It's quite obvious that I am talking about the vocals, because it clearly doesn't sound like Ozzy, so that's why I ask.

But I now know (with no help from you) that it is him.

  • elvis.

  • Makes sense..

    Haha

  • best band of all time like every song buy sabbath!!!!

  • read the book!!!! 'HOW BLACK WAS OUR SABBATH'

  • blacksabbathcouk

  • ... vuota ... .. TVB ...

  • ilu

  • comment 666---

sabbath sold out when they were born again--

    ozzy/dio years=pure evil

afterwards they sold out to the mtv/pro kabbalah styrofoam death blandness

    temporary greed

    -----------------------------

    heaven and hell

  • Born Again was an amazing album, truelly Evil it is. Ian Gillan is a beast on that album, and the songs just rock.

How could you even consider that album selling out?

  • you know...what made me start thinking that was watching the video for 'zero the hero'==

that weird thing with hitler--like trying to be 'pro jewish' or --like i expect that kind of suckup record company bullshit from other shit but sabbath has always been mystical and way above that shit---

i got this vibe like they were kissing ass to their 'jewish' record company

i would love to be wrong about how i perceived it

    -----------------------

  • this was printed up weird---it was meant to be a reply to 'sinbysin666' a few posts back

  • 1:12

  • beautiful song

  • This really doesnt sound like Ozzy...

  • hehe, because it is Tony Iommi:)

  • Haha, I've always wondered about that. Planet Caravan too, or is that just effects on Ozzy's voice?

  • ozzy sings through a leslie speaker on planet caravan

  • actually it's ozzy!

  • beautiful

  • hmmm... dunno... this song doesn't give me a melancholic feeling nor do i feel depressed. it gives me a calming feeling; a little bit disturbing... but peaceful. trippy song.

(and of course the solitude thing)

  • i love thats song <3 now i can play it on guitar <3

  • è la mia preferita....rispecchia la mia vita....

  • it is not one of their best, it is the best song.

  • one of their best.

    SABBATH FOREVER

  • awesome song.also cover by cathedral is amazing

  • Leadweight sadness. I like it.

  • Geezer Butler wrote the lyrics, and sang them, too!

  • This song is drenched in melancholy. I can't help but feel pain when I listen to it. I'm not sure who wrote the lyrics to this one but I can only imagine he must have lost the girl of his dreams. I think we've all been there once or twice.

  • check Ulver - solitude...great cover version

  • the most depressing song of all time. I think I will go kill my self. GREAT TUNE

  • pff.. all these swearing ppl.

  • i would say it was bill ward defo not the oz

  • amazing

  • Ive read the comments on who's voice it is on this track.I am a big fan of Sabbath and 12/24 I was positive it was Oz! 12/25 I've done a bit of research, made calls, and checked my cd. I've listened closely now and I'm swayed 60/40. Ward, Oz. I have 2 relatives that said Ward, and that started my interest in the mystery???? Feed back welcomed! I also seen Sabbath in 2005. This song was not on the set list.

  • Villa Valo is the gay vocalist of HIM . Who carez ?

  • his name is Ville not Villa first of all..and he is bisexual u fuckin homophobe! And I care and milions of other fans!So get lost!

  • SUCK MY HOMOPHOBE DICK.

  • petty, It must really be miserable in Your little world. Just for reference, homophobes are turned on most by homosexuality. Move out of Your parents basement and get a life!

  • My mother`s dad since I was 2 and naah I don`t have a sister!

  • would you two just shut up and enjoy the music, and im also talking to that other cockbite-in-denial especially

  • who Ville Valo lol

  • there just as bad as each other lol

  • you are right about that. I just was asking who Ville Valo was because the dude said the song made him cry and these 2 guys started going at each other.I had never heard of him, great song though

  • thanks for letting me know, your right ,who cares lol he ain't God

  • This is the song that makes Ville Valo cry and one of his favourites...And I luv this song too!!

  • who the f is Villa Valo

  • awesome song burp im drunk chrismas

  • is it just me but, does this song bring out the sabbath´s influence on metallica? somehow this songs feeling is a lot like their slower songs...

  • Juxtaposed against the metallic harshness usually associated with Black Sabbath, this album--Master of Reality--contains two very beautiful works: "Solitude" and "Orchid," two of my all-time favorites.

  • lol yea fucking right there was only 1 guitarist in black sabbath on there recordings

  • WTF?

  • no, you are not Tony Iommi...

  • There is no source that says he doesn't, as the lead singer of the band...that means its him.

  • you guys are fucking crazy...Bill Ward sing this one.He sing it's al right from technical esctasy too.

  • this song stays on master of reality, black with purple letters. This is really ozzy

  • How is it so hard to beleive this is Ozzy? Sounds exactly like him.

  • man i love songs like these they are just soooo relaxing do they have more songs liek this or like plaent caravan

  • song showing why sabbath is the god father of metal/vocals are ozzy

  • Is it a Gibson sg like every time ?

  • Im gonna find out who sings this. That is no fuckin way Ozzy. Toni is playing like 3 instruments, so I doubt its him. Ive listen to GZR (Geezer Butler side project) and thats not it. I think it is Bill Ward. No drums on this track. Hes on the mic. Makes since. Now quit messin with people.

  • off course its ozzy

  • if you figure out who sings this please tell me because i have no clue who this is either

  • its Ozzy in his normal voice

  • I cant find a source on it, but I feel very strongly that it has to be Bill Ward. No Drums on this track, so what would he be doin if not singing?

  • Yeah me too. I just dont think it sounds like Ozzy

  • if you listen really hard you can hear that its him, just by the way he starts to pronunce words

  • You're all mad..

  • LOL. This is definitely Ozzy. Listen to the voice...

  • No... it's not! Stop telling lies!

    It IS Ozzy! :|

  • In this song, vocals belong to the GREAT drummer Bill Ward

  • Easy now.. off course it's Ozzy!! Common knowledge my dear..

  • you can't be Sabbath's fan

  • if this is from master of reality then why did you put a picture of black sabbath on there?

  • ?????

  • idk this has been a question 4 over a yr on u-tube lol we need a fact checker

  • Sad song...amazing song...i love this song!

  • It's Ozzy.Listen to the song "Journey To The Center Of Eternity" from

Bark At The Moon to hear Ozzy sing in this style.

  • Ozzy Osbourne - Centre of Eternity

  • It's Ozzy, not Bill

  • Everybody has Guitar Hero but me. I have to go home and play a real guitar. I'm so depressed and sad. Not only that, I don't have a set group of songs to play. Sometimes I have to improvise. I hang my head in shame.

    Oh the humanity.

  • kno what u mean i feel exactly the same

  • I feel for you Locust1313, I really do.I bet your even forced to play without being in front of a television aren't you?I know man, I know,I've seen it with drummers also, forced to hit these weird big heavy noisy things, and they don't even have a plug socket.I've done a course you see? There are all kinds of secondary problems associated with this sad affliction such as something known as ''tuning''.It sends shivers down my spine to think how easy it would be to get G.H....ne1 could pass it on.

  • lmfao

  • this is bill ward this song as well great tune

  • It's Ozzy, man. No doubt. You can hear him.

  • for melih...for my love...

  • this is bill ward singing on this

  • Its ozzy just look at the album, or go on a black sabbath site and have a look

  • cool..love this tune.. i would have bet money it was bill!I would have lost big time! lol

  • yea mate this tune is just the best, love it

  • I have to agree it doesn't sound much like ozzy, maybe bill was the sole songwriter and took all the credit?

  • Ozzy for sure.

  • is Bill Ward singing this?

  • No, you wouldn't think so, but this is Ozzy.

  • Anyone who loves this song should listen to Ulver's cover of it. Imo it improves on it, and that is no small feat.

  • Although I listened to Ulver before this; the original version, I prefer the original version. Ulver is quite impressing as well, though I was deeply impressed about the soul of this one. Might just be the variation, that I've been listened to Ulver's one too much, but I truly do feel more soul from this one.

  • that is one evil fuckin cover!

  • One of the best Sabbath songs EVER. And congrats to Ozzy on turning 60. Wow, just great.

  • I'll tell you this, I had a terrible headache before I listened to this song and now it's fine. Great song.

  • Your correct about the kids being too much into that cRAP music. What makes Me sick is these kids whom go and play or buy "Guitar Hero" and then don't get into Rock, but I know there are those whom do and We rock-metal fans need to nuture them. I just wish Metal could get back to stuff like Sabbath, old Metallica, etc. Not this shit where they guy screams through the entire album like he is having his "privates" ripped off, not trying to be gross but only way I can describe it.

  • you are absolutely right my friend. i cant stand this modern metal crap neither and i share your opinion about all these rap stuff which i dont consider a music genre by the way.

  • Tony on flute I believe

  • Hey! He's right! Who thumbed him down!

Tony here played his multi-instrumental talent, he played Flute, Piano and Guitar...

  • this song is one of the best!!! it helps you get into your mind and think of the good things in your life... i love black sabbath, i love heavy metal, even if this is a psychadelic song it's incredible!!!

death to all shit techno music... rock n roll ain't noise pollution but the crap they make you listen in disco and the kids of these days listen to crap... i will make sure that atleast my son will go on the right side...

  • dude why can't ozzy sing or make music like this anymore. i hate his voice now. his voice now is like a strong english accent and u can barely understand him. like solitude and war pigs have great vocals and now he's got this "no mo-ah tee-ahs" shit voice

  • His voice never sounded more beautiful. It's almost hard to believe his voice could ever have sounded like this

  • are you kidding me! i absolutely loved the black rain album. i beg to differ, he can still make music.

  • 92% of kids these days listen to RAP AND REGGAETON!we nedd save this people. If you are part of the hard rock, classic rock, mROCK N ROLL BACK TO THIS WORLD!!! etal rocks 8% pplz copy/paste this stating to BRING

  • Wow. Yeah.

  • i heard that's Ozzy on the cover.

  • untrue, its just a random picture

  • Tony's guitar is great on this, beautiful ballad

  • great choice of background. i always thought there was something mysterious about the picture

  • i love this song.black sabbath the true masters of metal!

  • damn he could sing, can't talk tho lol

    Sh-sh-ssha-shrron the d-d-dogs pissed-d on the ca-rp-pet ag-g-gain

  • i think you mean metallica's intros sound like black sabbath's :)

  • Many artists have called Sabbath the best - The whole of Metallica, Rob Halford, Rob Zombie etc... it's because they are the best.

  • I love this song, and I can tell it's ozzy singing it he's just changing his voice up a bit, but Black Sabbath rules!

  • Love this song, Love Black Sabbath with Ozzy. My all time favorite Frank Zappa called Sabbath the Greatest Rock Band.

  • damn straight! Ozzy rules!!! Dio is a generic little scab!!!

  • Frank Zappa loved Sabbath, and Geezer Butler loved Zappa's music.

  • i love this song and i love the quality

of sound. thank you very much.

  • this is my theme song

  • Black Sabbath with Ozzy is unparallel

  • I must say I like the cover of Ulver better, but that's probably because Garm is the best singer to have ever lived.

  • Go fuck yourself as a favor for every being alive.

  • lol youtube idiots.

  • whats a cocksucker :D:D:D

  • SoulOfFayth I agree completely.

  • This is my favorit Black Sabbath Song. I LOVE this song.

  • sorry for my answer, I should'nt have being so sure about it...but still it's a very odd voice for Ozzy

    Cheers!

  • Black Sabbath had always great ideas. First and best heavy metal band ever..

  • Very gloomy, but still amazing song.

  • Beautiful song! Really, I am very impressed.

  • sounds almost medieval, very sorrowful.

  • You could atleast use the correct cover :-<

  • what? its not my vid!

  • love this; thanks!

  • This is a lovely song to play on bass.

  • Amazing.

  • t is ozzy no bill
