World's Cutest Jumping Spider On My Finger

I like to think that those huge fangs in the front are a spider's bushy mustache. :D Makes them seem even cuter than they already are.

@spinjoh It wouldn't freak me out. I had a brown recluse walk across my neck and I never flinched, I just flicked it off with my hand. It was either in my shirt or on my shirt before it crawled onto my neck. I had no idea the spider was on me until it crawled on my neck, but I knew what it was just by the way it felt when it crawled on me. I waited for it to get below my ear where my jawbone meets, then I brushed the spider off of me. It hid from me but I found it 2 days later.

@ranchdressing I totally agree... the most I've had crawling (and hopping) on me was six or seven of them at once. They are too cute. All they do (if you are gentle with them) is explore and play. I let a couple crawl up to my nose, but that's where I drew the line - no way was I going to let one migrate INTO my nose. A little puff of air and she jumped off. It was cool

I love jumper spiders. The only spider that doesn't tickle my arachnophobia issues. One place I lived in twenty-two years ago this little jumper used to crawl up my body when i sat in my chair watching the moon, and then jump off of my just as he reached... I can't remember anymore. But he was so cute. I wish I didn't have the memory issues that deprive me of that memory's details.

@chetes15 What she rubbed her eyes with are her pedipalps. The males will have bigger pedipalps, the males use them for mating signals and for reproduction when mating the female. The female just basically has pedipalps for sensory, holding bugs, and cleaning her eyes. If you ever see a specieds of spider you never have seen before, the best way to tell male from female is to look at the pedipalps, the males will have a "boxing glove" or "pom pom" look at the end of their pedipalps.

unless your an outdoors enthuiast...i wouldnt take that chance. theres alot more poisonous spiders in the world than non poisonous spiders. besides...look at the fangs on that fucker. Every spider you see in my videos have been found within a quarter mile of where I live. Some have showed up in my apartment, some I find at work, and some I find in the wild right around where I live. Oklahoma has a lot of jumping spiders, and I have only found a fraction of them so far. Some I still haven't put on YouTube yet. I like to do one video upload a week so I don't over crowd my Channel and annoy those who have subscribed to my channel. It can be hard at times to find these spiders.

She started rubbing her eyes right as soon as I turned on the camcorder, and thankfully it focused in time to catch it. I'm glad that others see her as being cute also.

She was at ease with me, so I got my camcorder out and started getting video of her. I let her go and she is probably dead by now since a year has passed from the day I found her. But I have been finding sub adult spiders of her species in my apartment, I have a feeling they are her "children".

@mauraofdunlath Flies, moths, small crickets, fruit flies, and worms that will eventually become a moth. They will also eat other spiders, but that could be risky for them. There are people who sell jumpers, but I catch mine. Some I find in my own apartment during the Spring and Fall, and some I find outside.

I have this horrible thing with bugs and spiders alike, although jumping spiders do seem adorable, I'm just horrified at the thought of something crawling on me, it's mostly because when I was in elementary school some jerk threw caterpillars on me and I went spastic.

Hmmm it looks like she was grooming herself first then looked like she was trying to figure out where to jump. @FranzehGFx I know which video you're talking about now, it's a guy who was bit by a black widow spider. It's google tag words that are causing my video to pop up a long with the other videos. The word "My" and "girl" is what's triggering my video. In my discription I call the spider "this little girl". So the word "girl", "my", and "spider" are causing this to happen. This was happeing about a month ago, I guess someone is doing this same thing again. I heard it was a facebook scam.
