  • @normanheather611 Norm has a 302 installed, highly modified, sorry I don't know all the details of the build.

  • @cookieboystoys o well im getting a 302 for my pinto project and making a 347 stroker and puting it in it

  • @normanheather611 if you need help or suggestions or want to talk to other Pinto Nutz about your car I could suggest going to the FordPinto web website/forums and sign up for a free account

  • Nice, I thought of doing the same thing a few years ago, this guy did an excellent job! The rear wing on the deck lid and the louvers make it look like a 1970 Mach 1 that was left in the dryer a little too long, a chin spoiler would complete the illusion.

  • Very nice job on this.

  • awsome! very clean very original and very profetional! 5/5 stars for that video!

  • Nice. looks like it was born with the V8.

  • I'm old enough to remember them on the streets when new. I always liked them. This 21st century version is the cats meow. Well done.

  • very well done - I'd probably change the wheels to Centerlines or slots

  • Enfie um V8, chacoalhe e divirta-se! Eis a receita do Norm pra se divertir com o Pinto!!!

  • Thanks for using our song "faster" in your video. If you would like to purchase our music, look for us on itunes or amazon.

    Thanks!

  • Nice Job!

  • Nice Job!

  • Very Nice! Good Job!

  • wow by far the best looking v8 pinto i have ever seen

  • Nice paint too. Looks like the way Ford would have done it if they made such an animal. Kind of a Torino GT look to the stipes. Great job!

  • louvers, spoiler and a shaker..i dont care if this were a 4 cyl, it still looks good.

  • i like that a lot .. its a good look for a pinto .. where did you get the scoop from??

  • not my car, I just get to make the videos. Not sure where Norm got the scoop from but it sure looks nice on this car.

  • yeah i think i might be getting a pinto wagon and was looking around to see where i could get a cheap shaker for it.. but he did a really nice job on it!

  • Thats a mach 1 scoop isnt it?

  • @kremecheez 428 scj shaker, cut up and fabricated

  • yes i agree this is cool and great work on the scoop i bet it was a bear

  • THAT is one very nice PINTO ! GO BLUE OVAL !

  • the shaker hood really sets it off!

  • Very nice work, having built a couple of V8 Pintos back in the day I can appreciate what whent into it.

  • That shaker scoop is trick as all get out man! too bad Ford never made a real SHAKER 302 pwd Pinto!

  • best pinto i have ever seen 100000/100000

  • I never thought that I would see a cool pinto.

  • Hey Sam, they're out there ;-)

  • Hey dude, what do you use for coil springs on front?I went to order some and theres 3 different rates for them.Which ones are meant for a 289-302?

  • I "think" most use the springs for a V6 Pinto

  • @cookieboystoys Yeah ive been getting a lot of that lately, thanks

  • maybe v8 monza springs will work.

  • I used Mustang II front springs. I just asked for V8 ones. they were thicker and almost a full coil taller.

  • @nailclippers3 Those came out of a Mustang II, so i do not know what weight they are exactly. Sorry I haven't checked this post in a while.

  • @nailclippers3 you would use the ones for a 74-78 mustang cobra (V8 "302"). The mustang from those years sat on the same chassis platform as the pinto.

  • When I put a 302 in my then-3-year-old 1978 Pinto back-in-the-day, I installed Moog replacement springs for a 1978 Mustang II Cobra II V8 w/air conditioning.

  • @chiwowowo Actualy all the parts needed for the Pinto 302 V8 swap were manufactured by Ford ,all the Mustang ll stuff interchanges with Pinto..

  • @kamphwagon1 - Yeah, I did my swap in 1981 (on my 1978 Runabout), using Mustang II coil springs from Moog (cheaper than "factory"/"dealership" parts), but did use Ford engine mounts and trans mount.. The Hooker "kit" was headers and instructions, with really bad "drawings"!

  • @chiwowowo Right now I'm sort of looking for a Mustang ll oil pan for a 2.8 V6 ,Iv'e got a stroked 2.8 with lots of goodies ,crower rods ,JE pistons crane cam rated @ 6500, Manley racemaster valves ,SVO oil cooler 4bbl intake with a Holley 08057-2 with BLP machined down leg boosters .. Iv'e got a 80 runabout thats looking like it needs this engine since the ranger 4x4 got hit from the rear and ruined the frame, I'd like another ranger but the Pinto is temping me at this time......

  • very nice, love the shaker hood!! curious what the donor was for that? !!

i got a 79 pinto panel wagon for sale if you need another project..lol
