  • One word...awesome:)

    Pozdrowienia z Polski

    Greetings form Poland;)

  • Who the hell cares whether it was space or not? I mean come on, there's a reason nobody has broken his records yet, what he did was insane and it really shouldn't matter whether it's "space" to show the importance of this.

  • This man did something so badass its insane and all you people can do is pick at it

  • I would have died in the balloon

  • wouldnt he burn up in the atmosphere if he did it from space?

  • @Dashiar meteors and spacecraft burn up because they are going extremely fast, tens of thousands of miles per hour, relative to the earth. this guy started out with a speed of essentially zero since he just floated up on a balloon, and only reached 990 km/hr (615 mph) like the narrator said

  • @tylerfh2012 that makes sense! good look!

  • He had to jump, he was reaching part of the atmosphere that goes into the negative 100s or so degree Celsius --- hence needing to jump to really save his life.

  • this guy has balls of titan

  • IMHO that´s more impressive than the moon landing by Armstrong.

  • he didn't reach the speed of sound thats impossible from a free fall

  • @Timothy24259 when he was in the no O2 zone then there is no air resistance, thus he could go that fast.

  • @Timothy24259 Actually he may have, but unfortunately the video is ambiguous. There is a standard speed of sound at sea level of about 760 mph, but properties of air such as pressure, density, temperature, and humidity affect the local speed of sound at any point. The video should have made it clear whether he actually broke the local speed of sound at that altitude or just was traveling faster than the standard speed of sound.

  • @tylerfh2012 Probably the local one I'm assuming right? 990 km/s is only 600 something mi/h.

  • @thedustofafrica ....no-one cares -_-

why does killing animals make you a better/braver person? Oh wait, it doesn't.

Oh, and he's calling YOU an insect. Quite correctly, I'm afraid.

  • he did not go to space

  • they said 30 km over stratosphere murron

  • Comment removed

  • is he drunk???????

  • I would have passed out entering the thicker atmosphere, then not being able to open the parachute, that's just my luck -.-

  • all this talk about having balls...what truly makes a man? just because he jumped from space doesnt mean he's any more of a man than you or me. yeah, he is extreemely brave, but i think a true "man" will stand up for whats right, be humble, and thinkof others before himself. THATS what i say is a man.

  • @thedustofafrica you sir.. are clearly a pu&^y...

  • @thedustofafrica Duuuuuuuude his body was doing things yours NEVER will. Stop looking cute by being ignorant...Youre so safe on the internet huh, dont gotta show credetials,,,,,Insect

  • @thedustofafrica your stupid

  • You guys really don't think they knew all the risks? Suits made for the pressure and temp. And the balloon fell back down didn't you see the video of him jumping off of it -__- lol I say all this with love

  • balls. this man has them.

  • the really question is how his big balls fit in that trouser o.O

  • Respond to this video...

  • He did it without a Red Bull.

  • halo reach?

  • 30 kilometers is not space. you need to go at least 100 kilometers for that.

  • @ivar3145

Joe Jumped from 100000 something meters

  • First person to reach the speed of sound without an aircraft lol!

  • what happened to the balloon?

  • im wondering where is that ballon now... xD

  • Comment removed

  • 1:52 -- the first men who reched the speed of sound ,thats amazing but i dont understand why he is not burned

  • @biggestsmiley

because he wasn't moving fast enough to compress the air in front of him to heat up and burn him. When meteors and such enter the atmosphere they are going over 30x faster then he was falling which is why they burn.

  • 1:05 LEEEEEEEROYYYYYY JEEEEEEEENNKIIINSSS

  • What I dont understand is how he was able to survive that and not have any adverse effects on his physiology. Wouldnt that altitude freeze him and wouldnt the pressure crush his head or body organs. He was being thrown around like a ragdoll. Ragdoll physics..

  • HOLLY SHIT!!! how do you do that and not get like...internal damage to your head or some shit???

    fearless much??? lolz XD

  • Anyone here because of skins?

  • @badgerattoadhall - Google it. It's real. It was the USAF. It is in our Records.

  • i wish i have balls of steel

  • @s2p3r lol me too

  • amazing

  • Kittinger beat Gagarin.

  • ListVerse?

  • fake. that video was shot from kittinger's iphone and then photoshopped.

  • @richanater99 thats a joke right?

  • @richanater99 deffo mate, you know the score

  • HD pleeaseee !

  • fake

  • @REGRETAM1N nah m8 just cus ur dumb as fuck and u dont know the meaning of the word PROOF

  • @SuperJonyyy lol, can't believe you fell for the most blatantly facetious comment ever. of course its real you complete dimwit.

  • @REGRETAM1N oi if ur saying its real now why did u say it was fake just now u bellend

  • @REGRETAM1N your proof that its fake?

  • @badgerattoadhall your proof that it is real?

  • @REGRETAM1N lets start firts of all why would it be fake? it was very do able in 1960 thats just for starts...

  • @badgerattoadhall I AM TROLLING. TROLOLLOLOL

  • fake

  • who filmed???

  • chuck norris cant even jump from his bed lol!

  • I don't understand. How could he not freeze to death? Was he close enough the earth to be dragged back, because it didn't look like it... How about the pressure, and why didn't he float away?

  • @sutro10 if only it was that easy to float away from the earths gravitational field, it wouldn't have taken us rockets and space craft to do it!

  • @sutro10 They have suits that dont let you freeze in space.

  • Chuck Norris jumped up to 102800 feet...AGAINST GRAVITY

  • On his way down he saw Chuck Norris jumping from 80,000 feet

  • kittinger did not reach speed of sound, he reached 90% of the speed of sound at respective altitude. (sound is slowing down when you climb up, reaching zero at space.).

  • Ok, what's up with balls jokes? Yes he had allot of guts to do this thing, But after going to every video of this amazing event, Stop with the huge balls jokes, lol.

YES HE HAD HUGE BALLS TO DO THIS.

  • Not possible at that speed the friction from the air would catch him on fire and he would burn to death and if not enough oxygen was present he would still burn.

  • @m21cerney by your logic all supersonic aircraft should burst into flame before reaching their maximum velocity. meteors and spacecraft burn when they enter the atmosphere because they are going FAR faster. This guy went like 700 mph, the space shuttle went 18,000 mph on re-entry. next time try actually waiting one second and thinking (and doing a few simple google searches), you might learn something!

  • shit i want that jump ;p

  • Now we just gotta jump from the moon to earth

  • Some people call his balls The Moon

    Stupid people....

  • actually he didn´t reach the speed of sound, but he was near to it

  • WOW

  • is that balloon

    is living from now?

  • Imagine he missed the earth o.O

  • but I thought the whole point of this RedBull Stratos mission was to be the first person to reach the speed of sound?

  • @Giggy9200 i think what they want to do is pass the sound barrier, joe only got close :)

    (i´m not sure though) :)

  • my cum shoots out at the speed of sound

  • @nolanjuice84 My fist hits your face @ the speed of sound.

  • @select899 i chuck norris kick ur chin at the speed of light....ha

  • @nolanjuice84 Possibly the worst comeback in the history of man. Now i have a understanding of your IQ, you no longer deserve my words.

  • @select899 garantee im smarter then you fag mind ur own buissness anyways noisy bitch boy

  • @nolanjuice84 Doubt that, you've already proved your inbred mind don't know whats right and wrong, why type a sentence about your cum on a Kittinger video. Sounds like someone so self conscious about their homosexual urges and tiny penis that they write nonsense on the interwebs. Don't even bother replying just shows how weak you are..... Oxygen Thief.

  • @select899 its my oxygen fruit loop its my world and fucks like you are just pee ons in a kings world douche bag

  • @nolanjuice84 Weak little child.

  • @select899 im gonna rape you

  • ya...but who's gonna hear it inside of a barn animal

  • That's what you would want to do before you die!!!

  • how did he breathe when he went up in space?

  • ''did something amazing. He jumped.'' Oh no shit he was just gonna fly to moon with that thing and die in space? ._.

  • DUDE I NEED TO DO THAT!!!!

  • That's so fucking high. Wow! Haha, it'd been funny if he landed in another continent.

  • do you get the same feeling like in the rollercoasters when you fall? cuz id be mad to endure that for 15mins...

  • Imagine his face if when he jumped he floated upwards! lmao

  • Did he open his chute whilst he was still in 'space'?

  • @SimoMcGauneo Yes, he did do that.

  • @SimoMcGauneo

    he didn't

  • @SimoMcGauneo They explained that :P, he opened it after he got back in the atmosphere

  • @KristovGaedkavich I'm deaf. And I ask because perhaps someone on here could explain it properly. Is 'atmosphere' just as you get back into the 'sky'? Thank you.

  • @SimoMcGauneo My bad. Yeah basically he opened it after friction with the atmosphere slowed him down from like 900 miles per hour to terminal velocity.

  • No, they still drop in space. Gravity doesn't just disappear. In fact, at orbit (which is much higher than what this guy jumped at) the force of gravity is 89% of that on the surface. You only "float" when you're in orbit, which is essentially continuous free falling.

  • that could be the most epic suicide ever if the camera survives of course.

  • If it's in space, don't they float instead of drop?

  • My Man!

  • So @1:35 she states that he accelerates to 990 km/h, and that this broke the speed of sound. The speed of sound is 1200 km/h. Am I missing something? Is she mistaken?

  • stratosphere is not fucking space, and far from it

  • @davidds0 You're right. But I think the boundary for what was considered 'space' in 1960 was considerably lower.

  • horay! thats my uncle!!!

  • i'm surprised the weight of his "balls" alone didn't make him reach the speed of light!

  • CraZy son of a bitch!

  • @janjak47 You are incorrect. It has been proven that the Great Wall is NOT visible from space. Kittinger's balls obstruct the view!

  • Yes .... What a dude. i would give him a swedish periscope for this (Urban dictionary)

  • when i met kittinger, i asked him "why are there 2 watermelons in ur pants?"

and he replied "they're my balls"

  • 29 people have a fear of heights!

  • What the Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!!!!!!

  • He reached speed of sound? Chuck norris would be proud but too bad chuck norris reached the speed of light twice

  • going to do this this weekend :)

  • @ahrims221 yeah sure

  • Now let's get one of those "wing" suits that let you glide and then jump off that balloon.

    Hell yeah. Bucket list anyone?

  • LOL!!!! I've not watched the video, but read all the comments...ROTFL... !!!! :))

  • i wonder where the balloon is right now

  • this lady sounds like someone highlighted the text of a textbook, right clicked it and hit start speaking

  • Yuri Gagarin was a Soviet cosmonaut and the first human who journeyed to outer space in a spacecraft.

  • "he never achieved the fame of yuric gagarin or niel armstorng..." 0:41

    Whos Yuric Gagarin?

  • @bassgeek388 Who's Yuri Gagarin?

    You are joking aren't you?

  • @TheJ631 i dont know who yuri gargin is.

  • @bassgeek388 he's the first man to be launched into space.orbit the earth and return. He was a cosmonaut from the USSR.

  • This dude was the first guy in space

  • @SkullInfector I'm gonna thumbs you down just coz you said thumbs up.

  • That would of been great if he fell and landed in another country.

  • @jdt917 Havent you heard. Its in the works. A jet is being developed that would fly straight up and then down. As the world rotates the plane stays straight. Not sure about the physics though. But thatd be cool shit I think.

  • i read a first person account of this from kittinger himself..he said that he was certain he was floating into space until, due to his fear, he shitted in his pants and upon noticing that the poo was indeed running down his leg, he realized that earths gravity was in fact pulling him toward the earth... true story.

  • Thats gotta be the scariest shit ive ever heard of, your ass is in fucking outter space and you don't know if your falling or floating. You see the stars, planets, and then boom your back in the atmasphere and the wind is going past you fasting then the speed of sound thats just to intense

  • i'd have a heart attack after jumping!

  • the narrator states that Kittinger reached the speed of sound traveling @ 990KMPH - but isnt speed of sound 1,236 KMPH?

  • @unkowndrunkenfrankli it's 990mph at 100k ft

  • @unkowndrunkenfrankli sorry 990 ft/s at 100k ft, maybe they messed up the units, too nice a coincidence otherwise

  • @unkowndrunkenfrankli Theres always 1 fuddy duddy!

  • I would kill to do this just once before I die, is there any legal way of doing this recreationally ?

  • he's got some balls imagine he missed and went past. that would be freaky wonder were he would end up ha should start droppin rapists and pedos in deep space with hd cams and see wer they end up or who they see on there travels

  • Scott Kittinger , Number One American Badass!

  • @deltafour1212 Ummmm...Joe Kittinger? lol

  • @aklingsporn Wanted to thank you for last night. Hope I didnt stretch your ahole to much. Wouldnt want to ruin you for others.

  • @deltafour1212 dude........YOU ROCK

  • Chuck Norris was first who from moon to Earth.

  • @TranceRVictriX

Don't talk about chuck norris he's nowhere near the balls of joseph kittinger.

  • he went the speed of sound? well so if he said fuck then he wont be able to hear it? cancels it out i spose

  • 15 minutes later after him his shit fell to earth

  • @callyfrank whahaha whahahahahahahahah nice comment man

  • @callyfrank Dont you mean bricks?

  • @callyfrank Dumbass

  • Chris <3

  • I HAVE TO DO THIS!!

  • Joe Kittinger and John Paul Stapp, two heroes of science. Absolutely astonishing.

  • Some day this will become as common as regular skydiving is today. Hopefully in my lifetime.

  • They asked for a stud....this man raised his hand.

  • He should skydive from Mars next time and land in his dining room.

  • THE SPEED OF SOUND

    Thus guy has guts

  • @TheQuincyT118 actually it ain'T true, he was close to it, but didn't reach it. The lady speaker is wrong about it.

  • @s1mmelOne DANG IT!!!!

  • @s1mmelOne indeed he had barely entered the thermosphere when he jumped, he had yet to breach earths last defence against the cold of space, the exosphere

  • @onarollof4

He jumped at the altitude of 102,800 ft or 31 km.

I think he's at the stratosphere.

But for what a man with a ball of steel for real.
