  • Did Denise say she wasn't feminine?! Umm, she's beautiful.

  • '...the gift wa-sh our-sh to borrow...'

  • She's so awkward it drives me nuts!

  • I liked this performance of Jessie's. I understood Denise's comment that it was quite harshly sung but it was her own interpretation, so I think that's fair enough.

  • god really John why do u have to be so nasty i thought she did an amazing performence

  • I miss the Nancys :(

  • Jessie so should have won!!!!

    GO JESSIE

  • When Jessie goes for it - she is 100% top quality and I would pay to see her sing this song

  • @indyguy52 and that's why she's at RADA

  • john barrowmans a cunt he uses his hands more thn jessie lol

  • She's young and thus has lots to learn - but few artists give me goosebumps like Jessie.

02:41-02:50 here are a case in point.

The hairs rise on my neck every time this girl just goes for it.

    Fresh, natural talent.

Cream always rises to the top.

  • First off, it's perfectly okay that you love Jessie and her way of singing and performing. I liked Jessie, and I think she is beautiful and very talented woman who will make it far because of it.

That being said, it is so not okay for you to write such cruel things about two of East Ends very talented stars. Both John and Denice are very talented both as singers and actors. You can disagree with what they say, but neither of them are talentless, and they both know what they're talking about.

  • You're entitled to your opinion and I respect that. But I am entitled to my opinion too. I'm sorry if I offend you but I don't like either John or Denise. And for the record I didn't like them long before I'll do anything. I don't think either are particularly good singers and both have fail to impress me doing anything else. That said, that is just MY opinion. I don't expect everyone to agree with it but that's life

  • And that is okay. You are, as you say, totally entitiled to have that oppinion. But don't use such cruel words to slander them based on things you should know are not true.

You might nor like either of the, but they are both highly popular and very expirienced in their field. As such it is clear that neither are talentless, because if they were they wouldn't have such huge fanbases. Secondly, the many plays I know John has played in means that he does indeed know what he's talking about.

  • I am sorry love but you are taking this way to seriously. You are either mad or in fact John Barrowman in disguise. Either way you need to get a life. It's just an opinion build a bridge and get over it. And that is my final word

  • Hehe... as much as I adore John Barrowman I'm not actually him in disguise.

That being said I just don't like people leaving such cruel and disrespectful comments, I simply don't understand the need to do that as I am a firm believer that you should never be disrespectful like that. If that means that in your eyes I am mad or have no life, then I am fine with that, and I can assure you that I am in fact quite over it already. I was the minute I'd voiced my oppinion about your comment.

  • @sarah4hp

Sory cause you wrote it a year ago and you probably really dont care but East End???!!

do you mean West End m'dear?

  • @stylishsid

Of course! East End?! Wow, does that sound stupid, lol. Thanks for your comment, you made me laugh at my own mistake :-p

  • @sarah4hp

Ahahaha i was really confused! :P

  • @stylishsid LMAO!

  • Obviously none of the girls were 100% ready, all had things to work on. To single out Jessie is bullying. JB was biased. At different points he told both Sam & Rachel, on camera, he was a "fan" or "supporter" of there's. He's not there to be a fan or supporter - but to give independent, fair & credible critique that each contestant can build upon. Failed on all counts. Getting his c*ck out on radio is about his level. Kinda sums him up.

  • But the same could be said for ALW in the way he was a fan of Jessie! And he put down some of the others. I won't take away from Jessie that she's talented, but I think ALW was a bit over the top, and completely one-tracked in that he didn't give anyone else a chance, he just wanted her to win.

  • John Barrowman is EVIL!!!!!

  • He is not evil, he simply says what he feels. He didn't feel that the emotions she was trying to show seemed genuine and heartfelt, and as a result he didn't really connect with her and the song even though he found her voice beautiful. Naturally you can disagree, which I do to a certain point, but I don't feel that he was ever evil or cruel in any way.

  • They showed her in the results show talking about this performance. Despite JB saying it was boring, she herself would have been happy going out this week as she would have ended with a performance she was proud of. I think JB must have been one of very few who found this boring.

  • she's such a legend.

  • oh GOD john is so annoying!!!! and denise god dont get me started! this song is from one of my favourite and she song it beautiful!!!!

  • Her crooked mouth and accent make her JESSIE and tbh I'll like her less if she changes for ANYONE because she's perfect the way she is. I'll still love her to bits though =D

  • i see soo much emotion in her eyes and i love this performance jb really has something personal he doesnt like her one bit but i love her

  • Actually, now when I watch this, it makes me oddly happy to hear JB say this stuff. I love the fact that he's telling Jessie she uses the same movements when he's a man who has been accused many, many times of playing himself in a role and not adapting to the character at all. Warning her not to make the mistakes he did or just uncomfortable recognising his faults in someone else? Hmm... >I Love Jessie! .x

  • or maybe jessie is just doing something wrong and he was advising her??? o_O

  • I think you mean abusing and bullying.

  • uugh all you jessie fans are the same!

GET OVER THE FACT SHE WASNT GOOD ENOUGH, SHE WASN'T THE FAVOURITE AND SHE L O S T

  • She was the favourite among the majority of the Judges. So I beg to differ, she must have been good enough to get the casting vote from Barry Humphries, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh. I suppose they don't know what they're talking about?

  • did you even watch the show?!?!?! the show was run in a way that the PUBLICS favourite would win, jessie was not the PUBLICS favourite

  • Yes I did watch the show and yeah Jodie was the favourite among the public, but Jessie got through the whole show without being in a sing-off just like Jodie so that must have made Jessie a favourite with the public. Jodie was not a favourite with the panel, the people who could make or break her career. Also what does this have to do with John Barrowman being a bully who is obnoxious and up himself?

  • not necessarily A FAVOURITE just that she got enough votes to keep her out the bottom 2...we dont know if she got the most or the 3rd least votes.

John is not obnoxious and up himself, he is merely telling jessie he is not convinced by her in nancy terms. Nobody is saying anything about the bullying Ashley received which was MUCH worse that the simple critisism jessie is getting.

  • While I see what you are saying about Jessie maybe only getting the 3rd from bottom votes, I don't think this was the case because as time went on whether it was a good performance or not the public were voting for their favourites (I.E Rachel's Cabaret is a fine example) And that is where our opinion differs, in mine John thinks he is brilliant and let's everybody know it. I strongly agree with you about the bullying of Ashley though, that was terrible.

  • scooty its interesting that the newspaper adverts for the SOM and Joseph shows included Connie and Lee, but the Oliver advert does not include Jodie

  • I read somewhere that Jessie was leading in votes for many weeks until the finals, where Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh's blantant want for Jessie to win swayed the votes apparently. If only they would have acted with Jodie the way they did with Jessie and then we would have a true star in the making and playing Nancy.

  • No, in an interview Jessie has said that all the girls knew early on that Jodie was the one to beat as she had brought so many home and fan votes with her.

  • An insider from the BBC released the numbers and basically Jodie was pulling more than double the votes of every other girl from very early on.

  • Actually, he has been praised several times by all the producers he worked with (including Andrew and Cameron), not to mention Stephen Sondheim who absolutely loves him (he said that he finally understood the meaning of the song "Being Alive", which he wrote, when he heard John singing it). But I bet you consider yourself better than all these people!

  • Can I just take your Stephen Sondheim point a minute? What, may I ask, is the point of writing a song he didn't understand the meaning of? Where is the logic in that?

Furthermore, I do not consider myself to be above any of these people. In fact, I know full well I can't hold a tune or act a scene to save my life. Neither do I pretend to be able to do either of these things. I have never once said I can, and therefore it was ignorant and presumptious to assume that about me.

  • First, it is obvious that Sondheim comment was meant to be metaphoric!!! Jesus, you take always things literally. Chill out.

Second, I didn't mean to offend you, my comment was referred to your comment on JB and I just wanted to make you notice that a lot of much more expert people that me and you think he is a great performer. Lastly, if Jessie had been his favourite, you would love him, because that is the only problem you have: he disagree with you. You should be more open minded.

  • I actually think think performance was way better than how the judges commented on it. She showed passion, rawness and Nancyness. She should have won. x

  • Denise was really harsh...saying she's really infeminine was horrible thing to say and not true. I thought JB and DVO were harsh on Jessie all the way through the competition. Most unnecessary. She was my favourite! hurrah for Jessie!!! x

  • OMG she's not in green. Lol. The wardrobe department probably put her in green underwear or something. =D And why didn't the judges like this? No accent, no crooked mouth, arm movements only when appropriate! AKA bloody good Jessie stuff. Fantastic, in brief. >I Love Jessie! .x

  • I felt really sorry for Jessie - just about everything about her was criticized. This is a very artificial situation, and I doubt even seasoned veterans could take criticism like that on the chin.

They didn't really give constructive criticism to anyone; they just slated them and were unnecessarily cruel about it.

The worst comment of the series was when Andrew said to Ashley that he didn't rate her voice - what was she supposed to do with that?

  • they stripped her bare of her natural actions and were trying to turn her into something else! i loved her accent, crooked mouth and the arms!

yeah i didnt like what he said about ashley but i was glad she stayed that week!

i hate john barrownman when he brought up jessie during SAMS CRITICISM and became all personal

  • oml what is up with tht john he really doesn't like her over the past few performances.

  • Nope, Sammy gone! Current bun face has left the building! Oh well, she was never my favourite anyway! Good, but not Nancy to me.

  • Honestly , I agree with the idea that she isn't 100% ready and now she has time to get all her tiny problems sorted. I hope she does make the very sensible decision which she voiced on a talk show and go to drama school for a year, so that she can get her movement sorted out, for that was the only problem really.

Apart from that, I think she would make a wonderful Nancy and I don't agree with John.

  • She proved people who don't think she can be Nancy wrong tonight! She was by far the best and I hope she wins. Please don't stop voting, she's got to win this. Jodie was bad tonight and she definitely is Nancy and deserves to win! Jodie shouldn't win imo so keep voting Jessie so that she wins! I'ms o excited, please vote everyone! Jessie has to win! Even ALW and CM think so which shows she should be Nancy. She was born to do it! xxx

  • Through the final show Jessie has definitely proved herself a stellar singer, great actress and able dancer. Best of luck for the results show!

  • JESSIE'S IN THE FINAL 2!!!! she has to win now, i have voted 10 times but i've ran out credit on my phone!!! please keep on voting everyone!!!

  • exactly. SHUT UP JOHN BARROWMAN. YOU CHAT UTTER BOLLOCKS.

  • Jessie says she was rejected from dramaschool twice, and we can see why, it's just that she doesn't seem to see this herself.

The jurors HAVE worked with the girls, and Jessie HAS received suggestions to improve, just like the other singers: the arms have been mentioned since week one and she keeps waving them!

Don't forget the fact that Jessie is still there may be exactly because of those harsh comments: the audience tend to vote out of sympathy when one of the girls is criticized harshly.

  • i dont think people are voting out of sympathy!its not some big sob story!i vote for her because i see her as nancy, the singing out the side of her mouth, the stiff arm movements, her singing, her accent!i love it all and thats why im voting for her, after all im going to be seeing this show and i want to watch somebody i enjoy watching!i dont see any comments about sams arm movements, she does the same movements week after week! plus if u look at nancy in the film, her actions are just like jessies!

  • I liked Jessie very much. I do believe however that she wasn't ready, especially emotionally. How fragile! Come on, how many tima she cried? I understand how passionate she was for the role, but everybody was. You can be that fragile: theatre critics can be really terrible, they would distroy her confidence conplitely! She just needs time to mature.

  • Sam cried,jodie cried,ashley cried,racheal cried,they all cried,jessie didnt cry anymore than the others

  • Actually, she was the most fragile, even Mackintosh (who loved her) agreed (show 9 opening comment). Lloyd Webber (who wasn't Jodie's fan said that she liked her because she always took bad comment gratefully and the same they said about Sam. They all comment (even Barry) about Jessie's reaction to criticisms.

  • jaybee61, the suggestion from ALW was - don't listen to the judges, do it your way. God, Shirley Bassey should never have got anywhere, she used her arms far too often.

  • If you mean that Jessie is a good singer, mawsley9, I agree. However, she was not a good actress (yet) and her movements were rather annoying at times. I really don't see what was harsh about the judges' comments, all they wanted her to do is learn and improve.

  • Fair enough! The vast majority seem to think that she moves awkwardly. I don't believe that she is a terrible actress, but you do and trying to convince you or calling you an "idiot" would make me sound like a single-minded hypocrite.

But Jessie aside, I don't think John Barrowman was the best choice for a judge because while he knows what he's saying, I think him a bit obnoxious and unproffessional, compared to Denise and Barry. But that just me.

So, who do you want to win?

  • I think Barrowman and Van Outen's comments are quite good. I don't really understand why Barry is there, some of his comments make no sense. he's going on about the young girls being lovely and how he would love to be in the same show with them. The older girls get the negative comments, but his comments are rather contradictory: telling one of them 'you are NOT a leading lady' the show after he'd told them they were real stars...can be really confusing.

Anyway, I hope Jody or Sam will win.

  • I totally agree. Sometime I think Barry could give more useful critics. I think John was a little too hursh with Jessie, but I love the fact that he always sais what he thinks. Congratulations Jodie!

  • Honestly, I agree with you. I think the only three who give sensible criticism are Cameron, Andrew and Denise. Denise is the only one who gives clear criticism and who doesn't contradict herself. I like Andrew because he is the only one who takes the song sung into context (you can't convey grit if you are singing a breezy pop song for example), so I like Denise, the lord and Cameron, who is quite sensible and unprejudice.

  • I think the problem with the panel this year is that there's noone on there who works with the Nancys every week. In the other shows there was that vocal coach on the panel, Zoe I think her name was, and she could give constructive criticism to the contestants and work with them on it. Whereas John just tells them they're rubbish but doesn't give them any help. The only time he did help a Nancy was with Samantha in week 3 and now he overlooks all her flaws.

  • John is just trying to mess with Jessie's head and he's got Denise doing it too. But Jessie seems really thick skinned and is trying her best not to let them knock her confidence but its gotta be hard to hear them say such horrible things about you then when Sam and Jodie perform they say thet their performances were perfect and purposely leave out any flaws.

  • I find it so cute at the beginning when she goes "Jessie, come on". That is the most adorable thing on this whole programme. I want her to win so much. BUCKERS FOR NANCY 100%. x

  • Humm, well JB shud not even b on the show fullstop, wat has he done?? been in a cuple of shows, doctor who, an omg, released an album that topped at 75 in the charts!!! wow! he shudnt b there Lee Mead has more right to b there than him!!! they say leading man, well he isnt realy, an if i was incharge i wud fire him, no, not even that, i wudnt even hire him in the first place!! Come back JB when u actually hav talent, and talk out of ur mouth, not ur arse!

  • Have you heard him sing?

  • Actually, he has been in most major musicals, he has worked with the best producers including Andrew and Cameron, not to mention Stephen Sondheim who absolutely loves him (he said that he finally understood the meaning of the song "Being Alive", when he heard John singing it). Oh, and the great Trevor Nunn wanted him for his last too productions as the Artistic Director of the National Theatre (Anything Goes and a Shakespeare's play). But I bet you consider yourself better than all these people!

  • lol! not realy!

kl that you no all that stuff though, but, i do find him annoying an over the top, an this annoyed me 2 months ago, now i cudnt realy care less.

but no, im a teenager at skl, not a great musical directer or producer or composer, i just get irritated by john barrowman, thats my opinion, but i am great fans of sonhiem and lloyd webber's musicals!

  • Jessie buckley is being so badly ttreated by john! why the hell is he just trying to knock her confidence? he doesnt see past her awkward movements, and he doesnt see her true star potentinal. he really pisses me off. JESSIE YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MY NANCY! EVERYBODY VOTE (L)

  • Actually quite the opposite. John sees Jessie's /potential/ and the fact she's not reaching it.

  • He's then consistently slagging her off (yes, he is!) without offering any solutions to help her improve. She asked him to help her and he just made a joke of the situation. I could take him seriously if he worked with the girls to help them improve, instead of lavishing praise on Sam and unfairly criticising Jessie.

  • Actually John has told her what she needed to improve before this show. And the joke only came because of the exact words that she used, and then he was going to try and answer but they decided to move on.

  • Totally agree. I liked Jessie but she was the only one who wasn't correcting things she was criticise on (and John said it in week 5!)

  • Thats because john was nit picking on her and that comment he made about her and sam was too personal

  • I agree with you about the comment. I didn't like it, he should't have said it. But this has nothing to do with what I said: she wasn't correcting her mistakes.

  • I could talk for ages about Jessie and John. I really, really loathe him. He's not interested in the quality of her work, he's interested in destroying her confidence! The "it should have been fixed in week three" comment made me boil over in anger - he told her she was flawless that week. She can't change if you're not telling her she needs to! Grr.

    LOVE YOU JESSIE! .x

  • Outstanding. Every single one of her performances have been flawless. Yes she hasn't grown as much as Samantha vocally... but simply because she was so fantastic from the start. Vocally and emotionally I can definitely see Jessie as Nancy and I the best of luck to her, she deserves to win.

  • What a load of rubbis "Koriley" or are you Denise in disguise. Jessie's singing is great, I have seen nothing wrong with her dancing and there is plenty of time to overcome acting shortcomings if any. She has loads of character and star quality, something the others don't have. Jessie to win Nancy by a mile and Faryl to win Britain's Got Talent.

  • JESSIE is the most amazing performer!! I have seen her live many times and she is ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!! I love the 'Jessieisms'.JOHN is an absolute ASS, how can he say he dosen,t think Jessie is nancy?!? ALW says she has star quality...nuff said! Excellent performance, Jessie!! VOTE JESSIE!!!!

  • It's quite easy. A large number of viewers also don't see her as Nancy. Jessie is a talented girl, but that doesn't mean she's Nancy. People seem to confuse talent with the role. Yes it requires talent but the only thing that Jessie has shown us she can do well is sing. She's forgotten lines, made lines fall flat and cannot dance. She needs time to learn. Plus she cannot follow direction.

  • It's quite easy. A larger number of viewers don't see Sam as nancy. So what's your point?

Yes Jessie is a talented girl. Far more talented then Sam or Jodie. Don't make the assumption that people are confusing talent with the role. That's just plain arrogance on your part thinking you know better.Just because you can't see Jessie as Nancy doesn't mean the rest of us can't. I personally feel she has shown me every aspect I want from my Nancy.

  • Vocally Jessie is far more talented than Sam. I have never argued that. The problem I have is that people seem to ignore her flaws and write them off as nothing, and then blast away at Sam and others about things that Jessie is guilty of as well.

  • you mean like the way JB ignores Sam's flaws and writes them off as nothing and then blast away at Jessie about things that Sam is guilty of as well. Annoying is'nt it !

  • I don't like it when he does it either, but it isn't happening wholesale. And she is far less guilty of it than people are saying she is.

  • Come on Jessie!! xx

  • ah I just love it, the same people here giving the same old comments. I find it amusing that some people put so much into putting down Jessie instead of supporting their favourite. I look at it this way. Jessie has the most viewed videos of a solo performance here, and the most comments. She makes people notice. To me Jodie is boring, Sam is Blank. So like Jessie or not, people debate about her and i'll take that over boring and blank anyday!!

  • John is such an arse. He mauled Jessie for this, yet when Sam doesn't move him 'it doesn't matter'. Pure favouritism.

  • i couldn agree any more!!!

  • What makes me smile wryly to myself is that Samantha had the lowest number of public votes last week.

So theoretically she should be the least popular this Saturday. Unless she knocks everyone on their arses with a performance of the night.

But as she lacks the real desire to win it, I can't see her pulling it out of the bag.

Which leaves Jodie and Jessie. Jodie is the purer more polished performer. Jessie has the raw, barely contained passion.

Jessie for me. (Sam will win it now!!)

  • Jessie is ASTOUNDING!!!! Its shocking that she is this wonderful. Jessie to win :)

  • i cant wait to see johns face when samantha goes out before jessie haha

  • Yes, he was very sad. But ultimately, His favourite (Jodie)won, and yours...well, she LOST. What about your face? ahah

  • Love the fact that she asked john what she could do to excite him!!!

Plus, he's such a hypocrite, the only way he conveys his emotions is through his hands so up yours Mr. Barrowman!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE JESSIE!!! Woop!

  • I suggest you watch his performances of "I am what I am", "I won't send roses" and "It only take a moments" with the Boston orchestra. He doesn't move but the performances are extrordinary!

  • johns favourite was sam

  • Oh come on, she loved Jodie from week 1, even more that Sam. Obviously he loved her too very much, he got very emotional when she was singing her ggodbye song, but I still believe he always thought Jodie should have won (and he never hided it: in fact, he kept saying she was her perfect Nancy)

  • ralphy137 I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU! john has just decided that he doesnt like jessie, so therefore is saying all her performances are rubbish. nancy is a tom boy, i dont think he realises that they are tying to be nancy. he must think they are trying to be mary poppins or something. Also the fish in the water comment was completely un called for, + shows again that he is trying to knock her confidence. he didnt have to say it. JESSIE FOR NANCY!

  • isit me or does John just decide to pick on jessie week after week? because i seriously cant see what is wrong with this performance. its one of my faves! she is amazing, + john is just trying to knock her confidence. GO JESSIE (L)

  • Didn't he say once that he came on stage to pick Jessie's performances apart?

  • No, he started criticise her in week 4 about the way she moved. Then, in week 5 he warned her that she wasn't correcting her mistakes unlike the others. That means she can't take directions. As a matter of fact, everybody got better since the beginning and she didn't. Don't take me wrong, I think she is fantastic, but she stayed the same leven (even getting a little worst...come on "Fighter" was almost bad for her standard!)

  • fighter was her worst performance but to be honest i was more focusing on her ability to act like nancy during the group performances. She had 1 bad performance out of the lot,was called world class by andrew lloyd webber....jodie was good but the same, jessie was always different and exciting

  • As i said in the previous comment, I also believe she was fantastic. I still think she is too young, but extremely talented. I love her in the final show, she gave her best.

  • Wonder whether Barrowman will do what Cowell did on American Idol when he realised he had backed the wrong horse? Unlikely I know but, in my view, Jessie has provided 4 out of the 6 most memorable performances of the series

  • which do you think are the most memorable?

  • This one, the Dreamworks, the Judy G(enough said) and Killing Me Softly(my personal favorite). For me, considering her inexperience, she is more impressive than Connie was.

Jessie's awkward they say, but not mentioned when Jodie, the real awkward one, is made to move. Sam is likeable they say but, obviously, public voting implies that Jessie and Jodie are more likeable. So many contradictions from the terrible two its embarrassing, Cameron put them right re Jessie's emotions.

  • I think vocally this is among the worst performances that Jessie's done. Sam is likeable. Just because people aren't voting for her doesn't have to do with whether or not she's likeable. People have latched on to Jodie and Jessie more.

  • That's in your opinion. I know for a fact that every person I know that watches this programme finds Sam VERY unlikable. So I would say actually it is part of it.

  • Sure. good for you. however that wasn't the point I was making. Did I even mention jessie? No. You clearly just don't like her.

    But thats another matter.

What I was saying if you had read it properly is that the 'likablity' factor does influence the results.

  • TO some degree that's true. But some people also are voting because they feel sorry for her.

  • yet again you are getting caught up with Jessie. I am not making a point about ANY of the girls in particular. I am saying that likeability comes into the voting.

  • Yeah when Denise said 'Sam is very likeable to women' I though 'no woman I know likes her...'

  • Good choices!

I like Cameron, he clearly prefers Jessie to Jodie.

    VOTE JESSIE!!!

  • Apparently you backed the wrong horse and he was right. Jodie won!!! You should wait before making certain comments...

  • Gosh, I love love LOVE her!

  • and having watched this video about a gazillion times i think i actually like this better The Man that got away. And I didnt think that was possible.

I love both peformances huge amounts. but there is just something about her emotion in this that just astounds me. You can really see it in her eyes and she matches her tone to emotions perfectly.

she just seems to really live the songs. I believe every word she sings.

she really is an amazing performer.

  • I totally agree, I didn't think it was her best at first but after watching a couple of times, you can see the true emotion in her eyes and in her "Jessieisms". My fave Jessie performance is still One Night Only but this, along with The Man That Got Away is my second. John and Denise are just blind, cause Jessie is world class!

  • John's comments are so contrived its ridiculous. he has made up his mind he doesn't like her so he doesn't give unbiased comments. It's less judging, more bringing down those you dont like.

His fish out of water comment was ridiculously unprofessional.

I don't think there has ever been any doubt jessie would be in the final. Clearly the public like her.

Surely we are the ones going to the show? Surely it our right to have the nancy we want.

  • I am definitely, 100%, don't care how I get it, am going to see Oliver if Jessie wins and maybe if Jodie is Nancy but 100000000% if Jessie wins. If she doesn't I'll go and see her in whatever else she's in. I hope she wins - I'll be voting like mad! x

  • I think they should let the public know how many votes the contestants get in all these types of shows verified by a properly independent person, when it's kept secret it is so open to abuse. I wouldn't be surprised if Jessie was way out in front of the others but we will never know. Jessie to win.

  • I agree thought it was one of her best performances......the breath at 3 mins 45 sec is a moment of genius

  • But she ain't wooden and awkward, just the disadvantage of being much taller than the others. Compare her with Jodie who had little rhythm in her movements for JC Superstar. The more I listen to this, the better it gets, if JB had not been so daft then the comments from the other judges would have been very different. One after another her back numbers stand out until the Aguilera disaster, what an impossible song to sing in a talent show, Aguilera herself struggles with it live.

  • I'd like to remind the Jessie 'doubters' to watch from 02:12 of the 'I'd do anything episode 2 highlights 3' video on youtube.

    There is your world class..

    There is your nancy..

The show opens in December, she would have plenty of time to rehearse to get it right. She doesn't have to dance all over the stage for Oliver, so that blows all of that toss about being wooden/awkward when dancing. Boo Hoo, this isn't a dance orientated musical. It's Oliver!

    Jessie has what it takes.

  • I want Jessie to win so so so much and for all us Jessie fans we have to make sure she wins. Get all the support you can from everwhere! Please people make Jessie's dream come true! She deserves it. Jessie HAS to win. xxx

  • SOOOOO SO glad Jessie made it through - did you see those two (Barrowman and Van Outen) holding hands aloft in what looked like a mutual prayer that little Jessie would be in the sing off/ejected.

    Fuck them!!!

GO WAN JESSIE YA GOOD THING!!! ;)

  • John Barrowman is gay and he comes across as misogynistic and borderline bullying towards little vulnerable Jessie - not good!

  • You're right Miss AVUK, it was jessie who they thought was world class in andrew's living room...without question a better sounding nancy than sam or niamh who were in that room too...still is world class in my opinion

  • I said Jessie was the world class reference months ago. I even said it on here way back then.

Barrowman is a cock smoker. He has the audacity to sit there and ridicule Jessie with the "flapping fish" bollocks. (Which by the way was nothing but public bullying in order to influence public voting. Which failed pitifully) Was horseshit.

As for never making the west end?! STFU!. The show doesn't open until December. Jessie would have plenty of time to rehearse thanks.

  • Does anyone know how to vote from Ireland? Every week, me and a couple of others try but never get anywhere. Imagine if we did-she could def win!!

  • rachelandarsenal--i totally agree with you

    xXx

  • Jessie is amazing, this performance was great and I don't see what's so bad about her movement. John Barrowman is an ***. She could definetely blow away a West End audience 8 times a week, and she's way better than Jodie and Samantha.

    Jessie For Nancy <3

  • Camx89x - pre-Dr Who & Touchwood (back in the day b4 he sold himself out to TV), John Barrowman was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 1998 for originating the role of Cal in 'The Fix', as well as starring in the West End productions of 'Anything Goes', 'Miss Saigon', 'Beauty & the Beast', 'Sunset Boulevard', 'Chicago' & 'The Phantom of the Opera', among many others!

He DOES know his stuff - this is his trade, so if any1 has a right to say that bout Jessie,he does!

  • Yes he might have a lot of experience in MT but I would not consider him an expert and if you can't acknowledge that the comparison he made between Samantha & Jessie was ignorant i can suggest a good dictionary! It was completely unfounded, as was his comment about Jessie not connecting emotionally with the material.

  • Jessie is going to win.

& there's no doubt about it.

  • Go on Jessie, she has to win this. she's amazing. I shouted so loudly when she got through. She was fantastic.

John Barrowman is being totally unprofessional and its really starting to piss me right off.

    Jessie to win.

  • I think it's quite clear that the show organisers are aware that Jessie is going to win but they want a safe bet i.e. Jody. Jody is too motherly and old to be Nancy.

Jessie will "kick ass" as Nancy and the bores on the panel can't cope with that! (It would be interesting to get the voting figures so far)

  • I completely agree. She is different, fun and I would be ecstatic if I went to see her as Nancy. Jessie is the most suited to the part of Nancy. Jessie to win! x

  • I dont think jessie will win :S so i dont know what youre talking about

  • hah so much for that theory...i think everyone who thumbed me down ows me and apology

  • I think you owe us an apology more like.

  • for what?

  • Insulting Jessie who we (obviously) all love and that's why we are watching her video. You don't need to come on here and make nasty comments about her (and us).

  • I didn't insult or make nasty comments about jessie, I merely stated that I disagreed with the point graemecbet made, saying jessie WILL win. Aren't I entitled to my opinion, you voice yours why can't I voice mine?

  • You can voice yours and you have voiced yours. I just think what you said was quite insulting to people that obviously watch these videos because they are fans of Jessies. My motto is if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all.

  • how was is insulting, if you ask me the original comment was more insulting to jodie and samantha fans than my comment was to jessie fans. My comment wasn't as all insulting

  • Ok. Well we aren't going to agree! Let's just leave it, I'm not in the mood for argueing.

  • JESSIE FOR NANCY!!!

    John Barrowman = ignorance personified!!!!

  • She's really good but I don't think she's Nancy.

I just hate that constipated sound she makes when she emphasisis notes.
