  • broke my heart i cant believe there isnt a digitally enchanced blue ray of this classic.

much better than many live action movies.

  • Aw, what's wrong with that dogs head? :c

  • 2:06 looks my old dog, before he died... :c (I loved the book and the movie..)

  • i saw this when i was i was a kid n i cried i'm 40 now and i still get watery eyed when i watch this movie its a very heartbreaking movie a must see to everyone big thumbs up, and 5 stars

  • never heard of this before, looks good, its a watership down but with dogs.

  • @DracoMagpie I actually watched both of these movies today and I think this one was actually more emotionally powerful than Watership Down.

  • what the hell movie preview is this?

  • whats this movie rated?

  • @Josiestar15 PG-13. And for good reasons too.

  • I cant belive this is a movie hwo beeing sold on internet...becuz i think this movie is: Boring, shit, crap...

  • At least watership down had a happy ending :D

  • @flamedramon02 You could argue this movie had a sort of happy ending. They were still together in the end.

  • i going to see this...it looks good, as good as water-ship down.

  • 2:26

That's not who I think it is, is it?

  • @ihatefurrys That's right! Before he was a starship captain, he had to get his hands dirty with some dog hunting!

  • The book has a happy ending. Don't worry. Just read it. It is great :)

  • who wrote the book I plan on buying it,

  • richard adams. its a good book =)

  • :( omg do they die in the book i havent read it but i love watership down :(

  • Can someone tell me if there's a lot of blood in this? I'm no too good with blood but love canine animes and movies (Wolf's Rain, massugu ni ikou, GNG, GDW the lot.)

  • More than enough.

I think we should put it at that.

  • not as much as Wolf's Rain or Watership Down

  • im not sure because i never saw the movie, but the novel is quite grim, and also very good.

  • @SilverWhitzWolf

It has a little, but it's worth it.

  • Snitter acts like Fiver in the end of this, saying "That's where we need to go" x3

  • Hmmm.......yes........I cant believe Ive never seen this movie........especially being from the pen of Richard Adams (Watership down)..........have to see it on DVD.

  • Whats this movie about?

  • This is off of Netflix, but it pretty much sums it up :P

When it seems as if they might live out the rest of their lives as the subjects of experiments at a laboratory, two brave dogs decide to escape. On their way out of the lab, the canines accidentally knock over a vial that could contain the plague and soon become the subject of an intense manhunt. Now, the pair is forced to hide from civilization to keep their cover.

  • Umm... Im probably stupid for asking, but why do they want to shoot the dogs? I do not get it. :(

    The end was sad though...

  • The dogs were being experimented. They escaped, but humans thought they were carrying a virus that also infects humans, so they try to kill them.

  • In The Book

    They Dont Die =S

  • They don't die in the film...

  • oh, i want to see this movie..but i know it's going to be horribly sad, and I'm not too keen on jumping into watching bad things happen to dogs-animated or not. But from the comments I've read, it looks like this film and the book send a powerful and much-needed message.

  • amazing movie

  • The ending of this preview brought out tears :( it's sooooo so sad

  • I love this movie! I'm asking for the DVD for Christmas from Amazon (the cut, of coarse, it's the only one you can get here in Canada), but I'm not sure I'm going to get it.

  • Richard Adams deserves the credit for writing the book and bringing the plight of lab animals and horror of vivisection to light. Thanks for up loading this.

  • The most powerful animal rights movie ever made - animated or not. Martin Rosen was a genius filmaker in my estimation.

  • What you don't like the movie because it's sad? That's the point, the movie out-did the book far and away because of that.

  • BRILLIANT.

  • My parents got this out video shop thinking nice family film, you'd think the title would've given them a hint!I cried myself to sleep for weeks.it's haunted me thro childhood.finally faced my demons tho (MY thearapist told me to.) Still unnerves but great film and cast(especially Capt.J.luc-'poor bastards-Make it so'!)

  • Well, if the book had a happier ending, I'm not sure if want to watch the movie anymore :`( I cried enough in the book when the Tod died...

  • I love this movie! < 333 Snitter

  • iteresting

  • the Plague Dogs is brilliant - i like the opening, very well made.

  • oh, I saw this film in the shops 50p and my mum still wouldnt buy me it, come on only 50p!! now thats evil, she said it was co's i'd all ready bought somthing that day. plz could you upload the full film? you could upload it in parts,, like the ginga densetsu weed animes on here, if not I understand, but my parents dont buy off the internet, and the only copy i saw was a secound hand so i dont think ill see it agian...

  • 50p? Where are you from?

  • God, this movie is so sad

  • just saw the whole movie it ends a lot different then the book. The book had a happier ending.

  • i know i dont like the movie

  • omg i nearly cried watching this because the brown and white one looks just like my dog, and the endind is very sad, por little dog trying to swim away

  • the "island" they talk about is met to be the isle of wight about 25 - 30 miles off the shore from whee the last scene was ravenglass i think so it gives hope :)

  • I thought Ravenglass was much further up north?

I'm almost certain it's no where near the solant though.

  • can you up load the hole movie please?

  • HA!...yeah right...sorry, way too long a movie to upload the "hole" thing...buy the non-expensive DVD that's sold all over the net...

  • Can you upload the whole movie in parts? Please...

  • @PsychoRoboMario 3000 dude, the longest video on youtube is 23 and a half days long and it took a full day to compress. Dont be a pussy, just upload the damn video

  • @spiralkyuubi It's streaming on Netflix.

  • Great line from the tod, there. I LOVE this film! I've got the extended version on VHS and it's not great quality, but at least I got to see it. Check eBay.

  • Wow...this looks beautifully animated.... I grew up with Watership Down (and was traumatised by it) and I heard of this but never saw it... I'd love to though, this clip caught my interest.

  • The Plague Dogs is one of the most beautiful and sad movies that I have seen.

  • Agreed...except I have yet to see the extended version DVD with a different/longer ending, which I'll order off the net...plus, the animation - WOW, way ahead of it's time, seriously...

  • @PsychoRoboMario3000

In australia there is a DVD of both versions in 1 package, anamorphic widescreen with extras at ezydvd (dot) com

  • @nocturno0 do u no what its rated?

  • YAY! and I found someone who likes to share!
