Absolutely. These rock/pop/metal players get so much attention, but NONE of them can play at a level like this.
Liona, Ana Vidovic, John Williams are all true masters in their own right and style following in the footsteps of the great Master Segovia. It's hard to listen to Liona play this piece with a dry eye. It's just pure melodious fire. Simply amazing. Thanks for posting this.

Talkin' to me I guess ? Sound is very bad (lot of nail on the string sounds like shocked saucepan). Attack of the notes are vehements so very agressive music. Blurred rythm : piece becomes "spanish funny things" instead of rythmically chiseled. She does not have the proper achieved, precise right hand technic so the piece just slurps. Gymnopedia is better sound but no homogeneity : notes are often toned in a chaotic way (changing tones with no musical reason). Old style guitar playing.

I think her talent has been underrated by the classical guitar community and I think it has to do with a new-agey, Hallmark Cards image that she herself has bred. In this video, for example, she's strolling around looking romantic in a gooey, teenage kind of way. That said, she is a fantastic guitarist.

old style guitar playing is what made the classical guitar appealing to masses.
check out Giulio Tampalini on YT you can see how that style of playing works.
