I think it is time, We the People of the United States of America, make a difference. I am trying to start a movement to reform everything. we are currently living in a socialist America and i want to change that. Please do not think I am to one sided.

In general we want to bring back capitalism but smaller issues we can debate on.

In Socialist America people dream of success but the government stops them from waking up and working at it. In Capitalists America people wake up and work for success. For Capitalism to work it requires that its people be willing to work hard and be generous, caring, and warmhearted.

If you know someone on welfare or food stamps you and a your friends or neighbors should be the ones helping them not the government. Help them find a job, buy some food for them or help pay their bills.

Jesus taught us as individuals to help one another, never mentioned the government doing our job. When Jesus healed people He did it as an individual, not as part of the government. Israel has not been involved in our efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I see your point, but I would say fishing is incomparable to healthcare. A better analogy would be a lawyer.

When arrested you have the right to legal representation and if you can not afford it the state will provide you with representation so that you are covered in your hour of need.

Should the same not apply to your health? If someone becomes ill and can not afford healthcare is it not right to provide it for them?

Rather than 2nd or 1st class rights I would argue that what is provided by the government, lawyers, healthcare, the military should be what everyone needs. You don't need a free press but you should be able to access one if you want. Whereas everyone needs the military to ensure the security of your nation. It would be unfair to pay for the army only when need because only the rich would be protected, whereas a paper should be payed for because you don't need it.

Regarding your point on why healthcare in the USA is an important issue to the UK. For me the reason would be that a healthcare system has always been in place and so the idea that the richest country in the world does not have one seems odd to me, so I would say its the way I was brought up.

However I only really got stuck into the argument when US senators and the American media started insulting the NHS and making up myths such as the so called "death panels".

@Trustisaliability - Before healthcare passed, there were no bodies in USA streets due to lack of healthcare. All hospitals by law must treat anyone without insurance for life-threatening situations. Many counties have free hospitals. Those who are uninsured in the USA the majority are here illegally and/or can afford heath insurance but elect not to have it. There is no reason why productive Americans must pay for the health care of our fellow citizens who are slothful.

It is real close if not a fact that 1/2 of the earners in the country pay no income tax, and in fact receive cash back from those who do (spreading the wealth, or as I like to say, stealing; moochers). Remember that S.S. and medicare tax goes to your own benefits, while the income tax goes to all other federal government activities, welfare etc.

Umm are you dense and stupid. The whole government is in Tel Aviv not Jerusalem. And, US cannot change Israel's government. They would nuke us if we did. And, Israel will never make Jerusalem the Capital because it would esculate the fight for freedom in Palestine. And, embassies are not capitals that would be US/International Territory.
