  • now thats what i call a psp

  • Which driver do you use???

  • Cute :)

  • @StefanWeiberg on anything that uses windows

  • wtf thats a weird laptop

  • Does onlive work on this device or any tablet with z5 cpu and gma500?

  • @StefanWeiberg I could not get it to work properly with and without modded drivers

  • @Gearsguy405 ;(

  • @StefanWeiberg If it runs F.E.A.R., then it must have Shader 2.0 support, which is just about all OnLive requires.

  • @knuxthefox It doesnt even run Warcraft III properly ;D (Archos 9 tablet)

  • @StefanWeiberg With OnLive, the system isn't actually running the game, it's streaming from a server. The server computer runs the game completely, the host computer just has to handle a video stream with direct input. OnLive doesn't even use shaders, it just does a check to ensure that the computer isn't way outdated, at least that's what was explained to me in an email from OnLive support.

  • @knuxthefox The problem is, that the computer needs enough power for HQ streaming. Without optimized drivers for the gma500 chipset it probably wont work. But I have to wait till OnLive will be launched in Germany ;D

  • @StefanWeiberg Ah, then that would mean the current drivers would struggle even with running Youtube fullscreen.

  • @knuxthefox Theres more to online than just Pixel Shading support.. If I cant even play Youtube at 360P without subtle lag then I dont see onLive working.

  • this is not a gaming machine so if your going to buy this for gaming, then your wrong.

  • Gearsguy405

What about diablo 2? Can that game run on UMPC? With gma 500?

  • @JOTTABYTE Okay, youre not getting me. These things cannot play games. They overheat too quickly. And UMID and Viliv are both out of business. So if you really want to buy a device that overheats when gaming and could potentially become permanently damaged from heat, from a company that no longer can offer warranty. Go ahead

  • @JOTTABYTE Considering Diablo 2 is 12 years old and designed to run on Pentium 2, I think that UMPC would have you covered.

  • @knuxthefox It may in theory but maybe he should trust someone who actually has experience with the device, hands on.

  • Gearsguy405 but it can run old games that were made before year 2001. I know one guy who wants to sell his Vaio P and one who wants to sell Mbook M1.I do not know which computer I should choose.

  • @JOTTABYTE Best games they can run are HL1 and CS 1.6. Id choose neither and get an AMD Fusion netbook, as these arent really pocketable and will still be thrown into a bag, but the AMD fusion netbook can still play games like Left 4 Dead 2 and ect on lowest settings. Thats just my opinion. They also overheat without a fan so gaming for about half an hour is possible but then you need to shut them off and let them cool down. Of the 2 though, get the UMID imo

  • It does not run F.E.A.R so bad.

  • @JOTTABYTE 1. If you really want to use this for gaming, you will be disappointed

    2. The company is out of business.

  • Where can I buy this UMPC?

  • That was sick o.O! So funny, i need this ^^

  • half life and counter strike would be great on that thing.

  • @FatfighterXD yeah but it would be really hard to control

  • can it play metal gear solid 2:sons of liberty ( 2001) Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP Processor: Pentium 3 @ 800 MHz Memory: 128 MB (256 for Windows 2000/XP) Hard Drive: 3.9 GB Free Video Memory: 32 MB Sound Card: DirectX Compatible DirectX: 8.1 Keyboard & Mouse DVD Rom Drive
  • @marcosfan90 Probably, but no CD drive

  • @marcosfan90 thank you and as far as the cd drive is concerned this is the reason why god invented the cracked games

  • @marcosfan90 ref what the guy said about it having no cd drive, u dont need one...find a iso of it with torrentz or whatever, and get a no cd/no dvd crack...ive used them on dozens of games with 100% success!

  • I have this viliv, but I was curious as to what modifications you made to drivers, OS and overclocking/modding the viliv.

    thanks!

  • @Garbanian None.

  • @Gearsguy405 Using windows starter? no booster programs? My viliv must be messed up. I'm not even able to run low requirement 2.5d games. >:l

  • @Garbanian Well Ive done my own personal tweaking, but I shall never tell ;)

And I use Windows 7 Home Premium, CAUSE STARTER IS GAY LOL

  • @Gearsguy405 Then you did do something to the OS, you upgraded it :P

Whats the point of showing if no one else can enjoy lolol

  • @Garbanian Enjoy? Yea, enjoy 5fps

  • @Garbanian Also, your logic fails. Windows 7 Home Premium runs slower than Starter, and this was done on starter btw.

  • atom + 3d games = fail

  • @kinmanyuen An atom is pretty powerful for such a small device. You forget they couldve easily thrown in a VIA processor and 512mb of RAM, but instead you get an Atom and 1gb of RAM

But overall for 3D, its not fail, its iffy

  • @Gearsguy405

believe me... i got a netbook with atom 1.8ghz and gma500 2gb ram

  • @kinmanyuen Believe me, I own this thing called a viliv N5

Ive never uploaded Youtube videos of it though

  • Viliv - Phillips LoL

  • doesnt using the mouse click buttons get annoying?

  • @RPGexclusive not rreally, I had to use one hand for the camera as you might have seen, but when youre using both hands and holding it like a psp/ds its really easy

only thing I do is set custom controls like using Q,A,Tab, and S to move instead of W,A,S,D because your fingers will be closer to the mouse click button

  • jesus.

    my desktop wont play FEAR.

  • I WANT ONE

  • rofl it has better specs than my sister's laptop ROFL!@!@!@

  • lol wtf.. that thing is huge

  • @TheTechHacker Its like the size of a psp?

    Its really nice and small

  • @Gearsguy405 I think he was being sarcastic ;D
