Well I think you already know this but I'll explain it to you anyway, the desktop, nobody has that on a mac, the dock isn't a multitasking bar or whatever, it's a place where you put your programs so that you can get to them faster and you don't need everything on the desktop, the dock must'nt be up all the time, you can have it outside the screen and only going up whe you put your mouse pointer there.

Alright let me address this. You can clean up a Mac desktop by right clicking and then clicking sort by. The dock can be hidden, so you don't HAVE to use it. Theres stuff like expoze. And all of your downloads go to your downloads folder. So I don't see the problem.
The difference between opened and closed apps on the dock is that opened apps have a white dot on the bottom on the app's icon (in this case, Finder, Safari, iChat, iPhoto, Firefox, and Grab is opened).
At 0:30 the ass hole says he cant tell if the programs are opened or not. Anybody who has ever seen or used a mac in person knows that the open programs have a arrow under the bottom. And while on windows, when you want to open a program you gotta look through the all programs section. Mac has it all layed out on the dock.

Right now I have 19 programs running. In just 6 spaces, (that is 6 spaces of dual monitors.) In the back ground it is also Hosting a video web site.

Look at Win7 this "idiotic taskbar" was copied from them, it's called "Quicklaunch" by them. It's possible to set the size of the Dock, which is it's real name, to less than 5 mm i guess, so do some research !!!

Three, you can hide the dock, so basically it takes up no space when you aren't using it. Four, windows doesn't have a dock or anything like it. Four, you can shrink the dock. @skaterguy1423 I've compared vista and win7 to osx as well and still prefer osx and mac. I responded to this vid because it's about how windows is better than osx but shows no evidence of how osx falls short. Osx has easy to use ways to organize and retrieve files and apps, the mess some knuckle head has for a desktop only proves he or she is a slop. I will say I did prefer the search bar of win xp over osx's indexed search, had to laugh when I saw MS replaced the bar with a osx style search.

@The77777i - Yep, typical, don't know anything about a MAC so they must be bad. I run a business with my MAC Pro. with 10 GB of RAM It has two 21 inch displays at 1080p. Right now I have 19 programs running. In just 6 spaces, (that is 6 spaces of dual monitors.) In the back ground it is also Hosting a video web site.
OS 10.5 + is also a web server. Like to see him do all that with a PC.

Other thing is, you can costumize Win7 stick GUI if you have the wits to read.
It all comes down to the user.
In fact, OS X users have less oppurtunities in terms of costumizing their desktop, than Win users.

I don't think you should be talking smack about OSX snow leopard because i don't think you have actually used a mac before. You may have seen videos of them but its not the same as actually using one. now i can talk back about PCs because i owned one before. in fact PCs were the main reason i switched to a mac. they are so slow and take forever to start up. mac 40 sec two a minute. PC 4 min to six min. like the guy below Micro soft copped apples dock with there taskbar. you disgust me so much.

First there is an order command, so in less than 1 second you have your grid . . .
Look at Win7 this "idiotic taskbar" was copied from them, it's called "Quicklaunch" by them. It's possible to set the size of the Dock, which is it's real name, to less than 5 mm i guess, so do some research !!!
(Click "enjoy" (what ever it's called in English) to show it to him and his well orded desktop)

i think it comes down to the user not the OS, i have seen mac computers and PC computers in horrible conditions (like folders and files and programs all over the shop)
btw I can navigate my way around a mac to save my life everything seems backwards to me, like i am lost on a Nokia phone (Motorola boy).... so i cant say if its good or bad...

you can then place programs that you use alot on the task bar, start menu or desktop... as well as any folder or file you want to run....

Ok dick, don't be stupid. One, Its called right click and theres a button that cleans your desktop. Two, on the Macbook Pro you have the ability to place folders. Three, you can hide the dock, so basically it takes up no space when you aren't using it. Four, windows doesn't have a dock or anything like it. Four, you can shrink the dock. LOL what a retard..... I used Windows for 12 years and am doing the IT part on their PC's for a bunch of small businesses, and switching recently to a Mac for personal use is the best experience in terms of easiness to use and performance.
