MM always make the cover songs his own, often the darker versions make the originals sound better the MM way, even though he covers some of my favorite songs, I end up preferring the MM version, such as Tainted Love, Sweet Dreams & this one, to name a few. Most cover versions people try too hard to make them sound like the original--in some cases that's a good thing, like Pink Floyd--but the best versions are when a band makes the song in their own style or interpretation. IMHO anyway :)
