A esto se le llamaría una original voz castratis alegando a la voz de un niño o femenina y diferenciado en aguda o grave perteneciente al soprando. Tengo un examen sobre esto y me voi preparando xD!
how is this the oldest song ever when it was recorded in the early twentieth century? :/ someone needs to go over their music history.. or maybe you just don't know how to count? :/
I guess I assumed that castrati would all have a brighter sound than what I'm hearing on this recording. The vocal is interesting, but the techniques are sometimes a bit sloppy. Thanks for posting.
But part of the 'howl' effect people are complaining about is just how different this old-school opera music is. He's singing with a lot of emotion, like he's acting.
@SarahDasSchaf it's more scary that his balls were cut off... :SSSS this is the only record that we have from the castrats....singers from other epoch
It's neither the oldest song ever nor the oldest recording ever. The oldest song ever known was composed circa 1400BC; the oldest recording known (and available) is a fragment of ''Claire de la Lune'' from 1860. Still, I cannot tell which the oldest recorded song is, but here on YouTube, I've found from 1898 and earlier.
All these old recordings are special and are a real treasure. But this is not the oldest song recorded. Au Clair de la Lune, sung by Édouard-Léon Scott. The recording was believed to be a woman, but it had been sped up. Through further restoration it is now shown to be him. You can hear this and other sounds at firstsounds with org at the end and not com
This is no where near the oldest song on Earth.
