I got bored and read a lot of the posts on here and have some questions and want to make some points, not targeting anyone, just points. Why does listening death metal make people so angry? I have something that might help, go smoke weed and chill out. I've listened to death metal since I found Slayer back in the 80's and still listen to it today.
@wretched012874 people already have anger, frustration and other negative vibes in them before identifying themselves with death metal or similar. It's just a way to stick to a group and vent, knowing that you won't be repressed. The hating and insults we see here is something different, it's misguided anger from people that THINK death metal is about that.

You can't compare one group to another that are in two separate genres, that just doesn't work. Even if you love death metal you should learn to enjoy all music otherwise you really come off as a poser and an asshole. The only music I'm not fond of is country but there are a couple of good songs that get me going. People think that listeners of death metal are judgmental, arrogant, snobbish, and elitist, and people that listen to death metal think that way about everyone else... see the trend?
