I sit here today, and laught as I watch this video while I follow the news that the new state of South Sudan is rapidly descending into becoming the worst failed state ever known to mankind!I I laugh as I hear the desparate attempts of their leaders to beg the North to allow dual citizenship or confederation. As it turned out, this empty rhetoric was not followed even by his own SPLM. This is a lesson for our Northern dreamers who thought this man has anything to offer to Sudan!
The Islamic Sharia that this mercenary fought for more than two decades simply says: don't commit adultery, don't drink alcohol, don't gamble, and don't steal. Does this stop Sudan from being a strong nation and country? Or is it the other way around? By the way, Garang violated the Geneva conventions on the treatment of POWs, look how those brave men look so malnourished and poorley dressed, whereas Garang look so fat with a big belly! No wonder, he was a war profiteer and lived like a king.

First of all your argument is illogical since Arabic is neither an African language. I personally do not mind learning all different languages just as long as I do not forgo my mother tongue. One of the problems in Sudan is that the past and current governments tried to get rid of Africa cultures and the languages and tried to impose Islam and Arab identity in a multicultural country like Sudan.
Well, I know that Arabic is not an African language. but at least African spoke Arabic for thousands of years as a mother tongue. English just came to Africa in early 20th century. And If you don't know, Arabic is way richer than any Euro language.

It's now clear that South Sudan fell short in reaching out to present their case to the whole World. Garang was real leader with correct sense of social political philosophy.

Bashir has serious problem. He is a black man trying to be Arab. In Sudan and some other few countries their is identity confusion. because being Muslim doesn't make you Arab or speaking certain language doesn't make you be from that language either. You see, they are like two different countries, but only one thing unite them; geographical consignment or the territory that is called SUDAN, that's it. and the name was referred to all the black African or the Saharan African 'til the arrival of European who divided the continent in countries. Before that African identified themselves as tribes, and that is the reason Southern Sudanese still referring themselves as tribesmen instead of just Sudanese, because they don't feel it. He is, like most of the Sudanese Arabs(unless your a Nubian Arab) a descendant of the original Bedouin Arab tribes that migrated to Sudan from Arabia more than a thousand years ago and married women from the local tribes. Garang wanted to bring people together. But Bashir's aggression against the south has made the southerners more separatist than ever and they will definately separate. Unity will not work because of Garang's death.
As long as Sudan stayes one country the Africans wil keep suffering. 15 yrs. ago there were 2 mill. Nuba's now there are only 250.000 left. The Arabs abduct Nuba boys and train them to become soldiers to fight their own people "to kill a slave by a slave" the Arabs call it. Nuba women and girls kept in camps are forced to give birth to Arab children. The Government in Khartoum used Arab nomads to expell the Dinka from oil rich Abiye so it will become part of Northern-Sudan.
Also do you really think John Garang's death was a coincidence? What did the peace treaty mean for Khartoum and Kampalla? Khartoum used the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) to fight the SPLA. When the peace was signed they didn't need LRA anymore, so they made a deal with Kampalla, you want Kony? Okay just make sure Garang gets an accident and we'll stop sheltering LRA. I sit here today, and laught as I watch this video while I follow the news that the new state of South Sudan is rapidly descending into becoming the worst failed state ever known to mankind!I I laugh as I hear the desparate attempts of their leaders to beg the North to allow dual citizenship or confederation. As it turned out, this empty rhetoric was not followed even by his own SPLM. This is a lesson for our Northern dreamers who thought this man has anything to offer to Sudan!

The Islamic Sharia that this mercenary fought for more than two decades simply says: don't commit adultery, don't drink alcohol, don't gamble, and don't steal. Does this stop Sudan from being a strong nation and country? Or is it the other way around? By the way, Garang violated the Geneva conventions on the treatment of POWs, look how those brave men look so malnourished and poorley dressed, whereas Garang look so fat with a big belly! No wonder, he was a war profiteer and lived like a king.

wowww.. I'm so surprised, I didn't know John Garang was such a respectable leader. He just gave an inspiring speech on Sudanese unity, religions and ethnic unity, and described his enemies as his brothers saying he would do anything to treat the prisoners well.

First of all your argument is illogical since Arabic is neither an African language. I personally do not mind learning all different languages just as long as I do not forgo my mother tongue. One of the problems in Sudan is that the past and current governments tried to get rid of Africa cultures and the languages and tried to impose Islam and Arab identity in a multicultural country like Sudan.

Well, I know that Arabic is not an African language. but at least African spoke Arabic for thousands of years as a mother tongue. English just came to Africa in early 20th century. And If you don't know, Arabic is way richer than any Euro language.
Anyways I hope you guys at least have Arabic as one of the official languages. and I don't need to talk about the History of Juba Arabic in Sudan.

It’s up to people of south Sudan to decide if they want to do so or not. There are many other great nations that speak other languages besides Arabic, English, French and so on. Dropping Arabic language will not make Southern Sudan a lesser nation.

We always beleived that He was trouble-maker Western proxy. But now after getting a chance to watch him on You Tube, then we start to wonder, and wonder. Unity is in Diversity, India speaks more than 100 DIFFERENT languages & have zillions of religions. Since they don't look like real arab (Northern sudanese), they try hard to be arabs, but the arabs deny them the recognition; which makes them upload their frustration over Southern Sudanese. Black Afrincan consider themselves as tribemen, not as English or Arabs, and they will always be this way. So why not leave them alone with their traditions? PEASE for all of in SUDAN, Please people.

Bashir has serious problem. He is a black man trying to be Arab. In Sudan and some other few countries their is identity confusion. because being Muslim doesn't make you Arab or speaking certain language doesn't make you be from that language either. Otherwise we would have all considered ourselves English, Spanish, French, etc. They are Sudanese; who just happen to be Muslim and speak Arabic, period. Being back in the states I realize how little the western world cares about the UN, cause in Ghana for instance, both CNN, ALjezeera and even local news reports more UN news as compared to the states who report perhaps one UN news every 3months.

But what about the first one in 1955? .. don't miss understand me, I'm not defending khartoum and I don't have any sympathy towards this govt. .. but we must read history properly if we want to have a sustainable peace in our country/countries!

@Nilewill tribalism is a sad fact of life that'd we'd all better find a solution to. even in SS, their is thousands of years of tribalism b4 arabs even showed up, nuer vs. dinka and even sub tribes of nuer vs. nuer etc. even europeans had tribalism in the early history, in america and every nation their is tribalism it's just called racism. the point im making is that ALL INJUSTICE must be stopped regardless of who is the victims, jews, blacks, whites, whoever.

I'm eager to see Bashir, Ali, Nafie3 and the rest behind bars being tried for all the worngs they have done against our people and country. We need to be realistic, Garang is not here to help Sudan so sometimes blood must be shed, the SPLA fought against the Northern government and rightly so.

@Nilewill , You need to be realistic, the last elections prove that Bashir will do anything to hold onto power, the South will go independent anyway which might start another war so I'm all for assassinating Bashir just like I would be for Hitler. As long as northern Sudan keeps embracing religious governments then there will be no united Sudan, trying to impose sharia law on the south is what started this thing in the first place and of course there is the oil, Sudan needs a secular state.

When American have interest in something they act immediately upon it without second thought. In 1998 when they were suspicious of Sudan supporting al-kaida in the attack of their embassies, they bombed drug factory in Khartum in a meter of seconds, now at a sudden Bashir became the powerful man on earth that no one can catch.

@TheIdealist97 Bashir is not an Arab because he pretends to be it, its because he is one through blood, culture, tribal wise. He is, like most of the Sudanese Arabs(unless your a Nubian Arab) a descendant of the original Bedouin Arab tribes that migrated to Sudan from Arabia more than a thousand years ago and married women from the local tribes. So go read some history fool, Arab doesnt mean pale skinned they come in all colors, even some of the original Arab tribes in Arabia were and are black.

Garang wanted to bring people together. But Bashir's aggression against the south has made the southerners more separatist than ever and they will definately separate. Unity will not work because of Garang's death.

As long as Sudan stayes one country the Africans wil keep suffering. 15 yrs. ago there were 2 mill. Nuba's now there are only 250.000 left. The Arabs abduct Nuba boys and train them to become soldiers to fight their own people "to kill a slave by a slave" the Arabs call it. Nuba women and girls kept in camps are forced to give birth to Arab children. The Government in Khartoum used Arab nomads to expell the Dinka from oil rich Abiye so it will become part of Northern-Sudan.

Also do you really think John Garang's death was a coincidence? What did the peace treaty mean for Khartoum and Kampalla? Khartoum used the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) to fight the SPLA. When the peace was signed they didn't need LRA anymore, so they made a deal with Kampalla, you want Kony? Okay just make sure Garang gets an accident and we'll stop sheltering LRA. It's obvious isn't it? In the mean time the North has not kept any of their promises but used the time to develop oil plundering

Garang is the only charismatic leader in modern Sudan history who has a vision for building a nation on the basis of justice and equality for its peoples.
