  • @SnDkInGz very good, that house is essentially a movie prop. This is, on the other hand, the actual house Wes Craven wrote A Nightmare on Elm Street in.

  • @bundangbear yes i know :D tbh i wish i lived over there, to see all the houses would be amazing, i have always wanted to meet Wes Cravin but anyway this is a good vid, i saw another like it but that guy never went into the house :D so thanks for the upload

  • what the fuck is he

  • What a dumb ass

  • There will be a Nightmare on Elm Street as long as you're there, buddy.

  • @kbernardp ROFL

  • ghost EVP.....were out of tme..at 3:42 for those who want to hear it....poor ghost will have to find a new home

  • @82egags This is the house Wes Craven used as inspiration for the screenplay when he was a professor at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. If you'd listened to the vid, instead of bitching, you'd get that! Now APOLOGIZE for calling me fat and not watching the whole vid!

  • looks more like michael myers house from part 5

  • @TheHalloweenKiller93 yeah it does

  • dude check out my vid for freddy krueger and if i were in that house i would shit cum and cry at the same time lol

  • Um .. how is that the nightmare on elm street house ?

wasn't it the house with the red door & the windows covered with metal bars?

  • @lilmissgaga Um, this is the house Wes Craven used as inspiration for the screenplay when he was a professor at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. If you'd listened to the vid, instead of bitching, you'd get that!

  • There used to be a house right by me in Forest Hills that looked just like the Amityville Horror house but I think it was just a rumor that it was the house used. I never saw that or Nightmare on Elm Street. Im a big fraidy cat

  • @SuZeeTV house will be leved in a few days

  • I wouldnt go in that house, Freakyyyy

  • haha i bike past like that everyday, but i never figured out thats the house. there are like 5 others that look like that :P

  • I always thought that ELM STREET was where J F Kennedy was shot - That was what the nightmare was about - look it up . what do you think? I have never been into Horror Movies - My life has had a few of my own - Lol - Peace, Love & Life :)

  • If I ever got to go in that house, I shit you not, I would come.

  • @XxMissNoNamexX your comment is beyond hilarious...i'm not quite sure what to think of it besides laughter.

  • @XxMissNoNamexX NOW THAT'S HOTT!!

  • they shouldve atleast made it into a tourist attraction like they did with the Lindsey Bordern House

  • @mightymax82 Are you fucking serious? Later, loser.

  • @mightymax82 @johnswackyworld NO accounts allow URL postings. Derp. This is, as I said, the house that inspired Wes Craven when he lived in Potsdam, NY. I do not claim it is from the film. It INSPIRED Wes Craven. John, care to set this guy straight?

  • @bundangbear alot of subborn people out there who didnt believe and support the cause. thought i was crazy. but at least i tried and documented the last days of the house. i may make this into a documentray film and you would be included...talk about this video....one more visit when its being demolished and hope you will look at the house how i saw it one more time in potsdam to reflect and remember..see ypu this weekend.

  • @johnswackyworld Well Mr Johnny D, I seen your Tweet on Twitter last night that it was a done deal and the corrupt Potsdam did indeed raise that house on Nov 23.

I know you're writhing in agony at this moment as you edit your demolition series on this travesty. It shall give me no pleasure to watch it... and as I do I will direct supreme bad karma towards Queen Marie and her dunces!

  • well why don't ya turn it into a homeless shelter

  • Comment removed

  • that house looks korean lol from holland

  • my dad grew up in potsdam and remembers walking past this house all the time as a kid

  • cool :)

  • bear that voice sounds like its saying were out of time!!

  • @johnswackyworld Oh right, did you put the audio through something like Adobe Audition or Audacity to enhance it???

  • what the hell is that voice at 3:42..i just listend and its not you or the camer person!

  • wow! the ACTUAL nightmare on elm street house!!! awesome!

  • um idk who told u that's the house from elm street but it's not the real one is in LA i visited it at week ago, it's just off sunset, idk what this is supposed to be took this picture img192.imageshack.us/img192/5995/sta72115.jpg

  • @JUSTinPUSHPLAY No, this is the house Wes Craven conceived of the idea and worked on early screenplays of the movie in this house. This house was not in the movie, you are correct.

  • @JUSTinPUSHPLAY true..but the locals nicknamed it the nightmare on elm street house because of craven's first film at this house in 1968. there's alot of folklore involved with mr craven in potsdam.

  • A beautiful house I think, a little paint needed maby..and a little more work to.

I love old houses, feel like I should take care of them. But not gosthouses, brrrr.

    Axartist

  • @axartist The city bought the house and is going to tear it down for city offices! It's a wonderfully historic mansion built in 1891. Shame!

  • @bundangbear Yes! It´s a shame, I agree.

  • @bundangbear use teh money to restore it this is the house from the movie?

  • @natureperson420 No, this is the house We Craven worked on early screenplays of the movie in.

  • AAAAHHHH!

  • I dig it.

    Gar

  • bundangbear, as a Phish phan, I gotta tell you to cut that hair off, brah.

  • Hey dude Iam sorry that comment was very hurtful I didn't realize how unnecessary it was I do apologies.....Iam trying to turn over a new leaf once again I am ashamed and sorry.

  • I think you may have a possible EVP aat about 3;42!!! Check it out!!! Great video, the house looks more like the house in the HOUSE movies to me!!!

  • @ghosthunternumberone @johnswackyworld You're totally right about the EVP, all jokes aside. This is the house that inspired Wes Craven, and of course I don't believe in any relation to "Freddy Krueger" or anything fictional, but there are indeed supernatural forces in this house; I felt them, and I'm sure they influenced Wes Craven, in ways we cannot even begin to speculate.

  • @bundangbear Cheers for the replyy Bundagbear! Had you already spotted this EVP, before i mentioned it? Do you know if Wes Craven ever mentioned about Paranormal stuff going on in this house?

  • @ghosthunternumberone Yes, by the fireplace...that fireplace gave me a shudder. You can hear my voice break in the vid.

  • @bundangbear Would you not fancy doing a Paranormal Investigation there while it;s still open??? Do you know if anyone has done any Investigations there already?

  • @ghosthunternumberone no investigations. it sounds like were out of time in that faint voice..like a message to me and others..

  • @MountcastleFilms this one was nicknamed the nightmare on elm street house by locals after 1984 due to wes craven making his first movie att his house in 1968. he used the elm street name from potsdam for the name of the movie.

  • dang...sweet...

  • Cool! We have the original "Psycho" house close by, that Hitchcock based the set on.

  • bear, you're freaking amazing. kinda sucks that they want to tear that house down. my parents went to school at SUNY Potsdam.

are you going to Jones Beach?

  • kill yourself you look groose

  • @bmc13071 It's easy to be a little man and make stupid comments. I think this world would be a better place without haters like you. I read your comments on others videos, all negative. Do us a favor and keep them to yourself. You sound sad and pathetic.

  • @goldenticketsites Thanks for that! Don't worry; I get a lot of haters, but not usually on vids like this?! One love all~!

  • @bundangbear controversial local history folklore is fun, isnt it?

  • shame = (

  • What ashame, maybe somebody could buy the house?

  • @gluups The problem is, it is currently owned by the Town of Potsdam, and all they want to do is tear it down and build new town offices. It's like they won't even listen to the preservation society.

  • WOW!!!! That is awesome, i had no idea on any of that!!!

    bro, join me on facebook!!!

  • @GHOSTSeekers3 there's lots to this story..lots..besides wes craven's connection..i've done alot of research and have fixed some facts wrong on the ineternet..

  • @GHOSTSeekers3 already have done it

  • i sure hope this house

    is saved.

  • @bugsme10 It doesn't look good for the house.

  • victorian homes are so cool!!! With just alittle work u can make them look like a haunted mansion;) the floor plan reminds me of my home, bunch of rooms, every turn there is a door,lol..I miss open floor plans, heheheheh

    gr8 vid brother!!!

  • @fiwaszewski Awesome, bro. I need to call you, yes!

  • @fiwaszewski Built in 1895 by local businessman F. L. Dewey, the three-story house Queen Anne Victorian once boasted pocket doors, stained-glass windows, and onion turrets. In 1968, three Theta Chi brothers and their Clarkson University humanities professor, Wes Craven, conceptualized a short horror film set in 18 Elm Street. Craven wrote a screenplay that became the basis for the 1984 movie. When production began, however, the director chose to shoot in California.

  • @fiwaszewski we have an actually EVP at 3:42...is it real? did bear conjor up some ghost? faked?

  • appears you will be last person to film on location..fucking potsdam politicians! the north country is going to continue going down hill with the narrow minded folks running the area....bye bye tourist attraction for potsdam..bye bye thousands of tourist dollars..let potsdam die...haters of wes craven of potsdam...haters of horror films.. narrow minded potsdam leaders who only care about themselve...care about their scrine they will build at millions wasted...

  • @johnswackyworld Easy, John, take your meds!

  • the save the nightmare on elm street people or the potsdam preservation society is now upset. after the town of potsdam saw this video thye have posted no tresspassing signs every where on the property!! i've been waiting for the no tresspassing signs..waiting..politics ..politics..

  • @johnswackyworld HOW do YOU know they put up trespassing signs, John? Did they call you? Are they out to get me, too, now? You know what happens when you rock the boat in the north country? That's why I do so much filming OUT of the North County.

  • @bundangbear i was informed by a person who lives on elm street who is member of the society. dont worry..bundangbear always adds some fire...one lady called you professor. bear..and hope you can speak to the potsdam board in your many languages...bundangbear the next wesley craven??

  • @bundangbear your not in trouble..they are just now wondering who you are now just like me...well, some in potsdam already knew who i was like the town supervisor who is orginally from massena. hope this adds more fire to the fight...i hope clarkson and suny students hold a protest in the fall on the street there \. it would make great headlines..

  • Bear u rule!!! Simple!! more Phish shows Bear!!

  • @marathonguy999 I'll do my best! One love all~!

  • Heh, we used to go by the Amityville House when we were bored but it was inhabited so we could not go in and get nom'd by the monsters.

  • @TheTruePooka The monsters here are the town council.

  • @bundangbear yes, they are scary...want ot spend lots of more money than needed. now wasting more money on whether to dissolve the potsdam village like massena is doing..what a kroc of wasted tax dollars spent again. college is opening soon...i think we should get the students involved with a protest

  • what, that's not Sig Pi anymore?

  • @waverlymike gone forever

  • what, that's not Sig Pi anymore?

  • @ManicStreetStevO Come run Potsdam, NY. It' clear the town council has no ability to run it!

  • I didn't know Nightmare on Elm Street took place in Potsdam! Hmm..I smell a road trip coming up!

  • @Braehawk the name of movie came from potsdam's elm street....bundangbear was walking on steps wes craven walked on

  • @Braehawk We could arrange a meeting here! There' a lot of filming opportunities in the Potsdam area!

  • Honors for this video (1)

    #78 - Most Discussed (Today)) - Film & Animation

  • I don't know if this was a commercial for the soda or save the house video... LOL

    It is an awesome house!

    Thanks pal.

    Chris

  • @TheRedneckSwede tells you that we need to get bundangbear an agent for commericials...this video was sponsored by bundagbear weed...with a a smooth taste..

  • @TheRedneckSwede #LOL I didn't even realize it!

  • Boogly boo!! haha

  • @JuniorsWackyWorld now this just added more fire to the nightmare house saga!!

  • @ManicStreetStevO thye already have a courthouse. the town hall they are in now i belive is being renovated right now for that..thye could move into this place after renovations

  • I've been to the real Exorcist house(not the one in the movie). It's here in Saint Louis.

  • @Jackup460 future tourist attraction for potsdam if the politicians are smart?? oh, wait, they are not smart..

  • ghost face in window at 2:06

  • Ooooh! Is it haunted? It looks like it is haunted.

BEWARE BDB!!! It's probably John in there. I hear his voice.

    Luvs,

    Moomay

  • @moomay11649 rumored to be haunted. not sure..but the legend of wes craven lives on in potsdam through this house and the street.

  • @moomay11649 He's miles away when this vid is being shot!

  • @ManicStreetStevO i have stated that to the potsdam town board..thye dont care about this house...they want a new town hall there..but thye have also bought other places to build..it would cost more to detroy it..and then build...infact i think they hate wes craven. not fans of horror films

  • The end of an era. All good things must comer to an end. And as this is a place of evil it will probably stand for a long long time. ;^)

  • @PuppyZwolle evil local folklore tails and legends of wes craven!! and myself and bundangbear our members of the youtube network of evil club!!

  • @johnswackyworld Exactly. Like those 1 in a million shots. How could this ever go wrong. ;^)

Good luck on fighting the politicians. A medium like You Tube may just be the winning weapon.

  • @PuppyZwolle we will see where this leads in the future..bundangbear just heated this up!! those politicians stated that facebook and youtube and internet petitions are a a laugh...wrong!!

  • that house is awesome, wish I was there...

  • new vidoe attached to this one. not the greatest....but its the politicians give bullshit comments. they tried to make the potsdam preservation society look like fools with political mumbo jumbo. all kinds of reasons for it to go...when we know it can be restroed at less cost than demolishing.

  • attach your vid to mine bear...i will approve it..

  • @johnswackyworld I have attached it ,John!

  • that smell your cameraman smelled was freddy...

  • government does not know beauty when they see it....this house is just the beginning....... they are going to tear down bundangbear and replace him with a shaybeartard or a lisabearnova when they take over the internet and youtube

  • @elbrookman it would cost less to restore this place than to tear it down. they have to do an archlogical dig, tear down a garage, new foundation, asbestos fees, engineers fees, legal fees, remove all debris, then go and build a new building and driving areas.....4 million for a new town hall..when it would cost maybe a million at most to restore and use.

  • @elbrookman They will never replace bundangbear! Rawr! I am not a big box discount store!@ Rawr!

  • this is great youtube..its so weird seeing you there and me not there!!!

  • That is a awsome victorian era home. It would really suck if someone didn't restore it and got tore down.

  • @ryanb788 trying outr best

  • @ryanb788 Sadly, it is VERY likely that a house of this historical importance is going ot be torn down!

  • Holy Crap!!! ELM St!!!

  • @TheNamoNamo The REAL deal, yo!

  • that movie scared me for life.

  • I dare you to go back there at midnight...........alone

  • @Ubookz Then who would record me? I need a cameraman. #LOL IF it were in my own city, I would. The fact is, it's a bit of a trip, and I'd rather have company.

  • @Ubookz i wouldnt its scary at night there..bundagbear use to party there when he was younger

  • @johnswackyworld Yes there is safety in numbers.^p^

  • im with ya bear. it needs to be saved. thanx for the tour.

  • Fave film of all time - 1984 Original movie!

  • Cool. I grew up near there, and I never knew it was there! FIN VID!!

  • @seouldave69 craven made his first film there in 1968 with hsi college students. it wasnt a horror film..but inspired him later to becoem a film director..legend is that he named potsdam's elm street after the movie. but there is a lot to the story that i've researched.

  • You sure find the most interesting places!

  • @CrudeLieDetector4 and sometimes he gets himself in trouble LOL

  • Neat house.

  • cool..its empty...i would love to live in it...is it for rent?

  • @Broetchen4me No ,the city is planning on tearing it down, unless we saVE IT!

  • @bundangbear I know you can save it...;-)

  • @Broetchen4me it needs to be restored...the government owns it and plans on leveling it..still fighting for it..

  • its an awesome house, thats pretty cool, its a shame people want to tear it down, they should make it a land mark or a piece of the towns history at least, excellent video, peace Bear!

  • @RyanXHavok A lot of history gets torn down, especially in the North Country.

  • What about that abandoned railcar in the old subway? I heard the missing pages from John Wilkes Booths diary are in it, supposedly.

  • @LYinKansas Where's that??

  • @LYinKansas that's bears next vid..he will be diggign through dirt andshowing the papers! LOL
