  • Omg is that Jackie Chan?

  • ok ... merc drift only on wet surfaces .Thatz why merc is a wet pussy

  • we need subtitles for Japanese!!

  • what transmission is holding down the supposed 700ps?

  • HIJOS DE SU PERRA MADRE AGRADEZCAN A JAPON POR TENER STA CLASE DE MOTOR 2JZ, ALEMANAS CN TODO EL RESPETO ES PURA MIERDA SU MECANICA... AGUANTE TOYOTA POR SIEMPRE!

  • 1:11 vampire bite him

  • STFU with all this, "oh the 2jz head was worked on by Yamaha or the Germans"!!! The Viper V-10 was almost completely designed by Lamborghini.. does that make it a Lamborghini engine??? Not really. People need to learn to work together more.

  • Translation; Report:"what did you do to make this special" Owner "We had no fucking clue what do to with its original motor so we pulled that shit and slapped in a 2jz"...Reporter "did it cost allot?" Owner "Yes it cost a billion yen, but im fuckin paid!"

  • I think that guy was bit by a vampire!!!!

  • At least it has Carlsson rims, not RAYS

  • GOD BLESS JAPAN

  • @ganee6a looks like he just blasted japan lmao

  • @mrmare90 hahahahaha....u r right, i hope they get over it, tsunami sux

  • Aha gotta love the Japs :D

  • well the 2jz engine head was updated by germans before it got on the market ..

  • @alexoprel

unfortunately its not the head this baby is famous for. Its the strongest known bottom end.

  • @alexoprel

Head is designed by Yamaha, else other Toyota.

  • @2jzgtejza80 i didnt say it was made by germans, they added the fine technology in it. :)

  • @alexoprel

Yes, very similar with German I6 engines in block design.

  • coming from a 02 ss owner..... 2jz > me all day. no questions. love them engines.

  • Anymore footage of this Benz?.. Fuck itz DEFINATELY cool!

  • It pains me to hear a Mercedes W124 being forced to sound like a ricer against its will

  • scoreggioni

  • now thats a good car lol ill take one now

  • automatic?

  • i wouldn't change the original engine for a japanese engine..maybe like mentioned a newer AMG V8 engine..but I like it that some people just do it..that's what tuning 's about..doing something diferent than the rest..something unique...

  • lmao automatic piece of shit i can already tell

  • pitty they didnt go fora w126 cozzie.

  • nice thing to do i was think of doin it to swaping a 2jz into a mercedes benz as a sleeper to have with nice blow off sound. but didnt think it can be done but i see it can so i might as well get started on it :)

  • jesus, all these people complaining, first off its not your car, second putting a 2jz in there is a definite improvement on the engine that used to be there lol be happy its not an american asthmatic v8 with the sound of gurgling and no power production.... ive seen it done to a mk4 supra body.. some junk chevy motor was swapped into it.. thats a sad sight, this is a pretty cool thing to see, a definite sleeper and comfortable cruiser

  • european elegance you ain`t never seen that huh........

  • VERY COOL conversion!

  • it is not Mercedes anymore...

  • why are you moaning about a single engine swap? there are made millions of W124s... who cares if a few of them are used as experiments...?

  • My opinion, the best motor swap for a W124 500E or E500 would be E55 Compressure V8 & trans 469hp.

  • mitte sittagi ei sa aru

  • moi koledzy twierdzili że nie da się driftować automatem xD

  • Perhaps the car is a theft recovery type of thing and they stole the engine and trans? that type of thing happens everyday. perhaps it had a blown engine? in those cases why not?

  • It is a shame that they did this to a 500E, instead of using a base 300E; it is like doing this to a classic 190E 2.3-16V or 2.5-16V. While I do have great respect for what Toyota achieved with the 2JZ, it does not belong in a 500E, an M119 5.0L or AMG tuned M119 6.0L is what belongs under its hood.

Also on the note of Mercedes gasoline engine reliability my 1993 190E 2.3L has well over 330,000km on the drivetrain without overhaul and even now it still has no noticeable wear on the cam lobes.

  • you sir FAIL!

  • Only way I could see doing this swap on this car is if it was a theft recovery with no engine or trans. The 3.0 inline 6 that my cousin had was a major POS, sure it had LOTS of torque for an engine that size but it was unreliable and very expensive to fix, lots of 300E's had this problem, I could get a cheap 300E right now for around 500 bucks with bad engine. However the rest of the car was really fantastic, if I was to rate the car it would be 9 out of 10 just cause it was that nice.

  • in former USSR region no car can outlast mercedes. they are so robust, reliable, yet the most comfortable cars the market from 1985 till 2010 can offer. of course we are talking about ordinary stock cars (used or new)

  • Why did they ruin a classic? Benz w124's we're the best Mercedes ever. For as reliability goes these we're the last good ones. M-104 3.2L I-6 motor never dies in a Benz.

  • dosnt die but its slower ;)

  • what model is that and year benz

  • @zack3515

    this is E500 (W124), made 1992-94 (probably)

  • HAHAHAAH sooo awesome!!!!

thats 1 way of making that Mercedes more RELIABLE!

and a sweeeett VIP drift machine at the same time!

  • Yeah, because a Mercedes ain't a reliable car... Omfg, what a retard comment.

The 2JZ is a very reliable strong engine, but Toyota can't beat Mercedes on reliabilty in the long run (30+ years).

  • hahahah you seem to not know anything about Toyota, theres cars almost 30+years DRIFTING on tracks out there because of how reliable Toyotas are! lol but thanks for the reply anyway hahahahaah

  • mercedes are very reliable cars..BUT if reliability isa the main issue there you can only consider japanese..and to be more specific..TOYOTA!

  • Mercedes diesel motors are one of the most reliable motors in the world.

I can 100% guarentee that the 2JZ can't run over 500k km's with just oil changes... mercs can and it's proven. :)

Gasoline merc motors are whole another story though, but it's pretty ignorant to say that mercs aren't reliable.

Nothing wrong with the 2JZ, it's great motor and it's the most overenginered stock motor there is.

  • i never made an ignorant comment, but it is kinda ignorant or you to try to compare a Diesel motor to one of Toyotas gasoine type engines..

  • Apples and oranges yeah, but not ignorant. They both still are powerplants that moves the car and it's the most important factor, right?

If you think merc can't make Diesels that you can get shitloads amount of power out, your pretty far wrong. OM606 3l 24V inline6 is the key that is found in W210 300TD's.

Stock motor with just mechanic injection pump and supporting mods it's good to about 550-600hp/800-900Nm. :)

    The torque is UNBEATABLE.

  • Look up the Lexus sc300 and eat your words kid

  • @Vortes,

I don't agree with you. That was an e500, originally built with a powerful V8 motor designed and constructed by close cooperation between Porsche and Mercedes. In fact, it was the only V8 ever built by Porsche until the new Panamera came out.

Sorry KID, no Toyota shares such pedigree and desirability. Even less now these days that their cars get their gas and brake pedals stuck to the floor ha ha.

They just ruined a classic, period.

  • @MercsDude or got a RUINED classic. YEah its only the americans and the europeans a little bit, sales for toyota went higher in china! It is very likely that this mercedes benz had a terrible rich kid owner who treated it like shit till the engine died, realized it was too expensive to repair, too expensive to replace and let the japanese garage buy this at a very low price and this is what they made out of it. people think. remember that. especially when they are at the event.

  • the best way to drive mrs. "Mercedes"

  • he's pussyfooting it.

  • pls someone tell me .. what kinda off mercedes is this ? ... exact model ... i want to buy one ...

  • W124 E500 facelift model

    it has 5.0 litter V8

    manufactured in 1991-1995

it has wider arches and bumpers - in difference to the normal sedan model

also he was made with cooperation by porsche - but the engine is mercedes wich was also put in W140 S-classe models

  • thx

  • Comment removed

  • it's S200

  • aweaome!!! great swap! merc tuff and beautifull body and toyota engine power and reliability...LOVE IT!!!!

  • imo mercengines are as relaiable and powerfull

  • not in australia

    merc engines fail so much

  • thats a rad swap, i think a built benz motor would cost to much money, i see plenty of those cars for cheap, especialy the ones 67-73 s250/280's that used to be in the bruce lee karate movies. i think a turbo trailblazer motor would be even cheaper to put in. -nice-

  • that isn't Mercedes anymore...

  • That is a one awesome merc now!

  • look at 2:04..textile seats and normal zebrano interior wood. thats not a original 500E

  • Uhhhh yea it is!

  • bitch

    1. japs invented the drift with japs engines !

    2. you suck leet

  • ok look up some videos of the toyota supra (same motor that the merc in this video has) and 2nd toyota is the most successful car company in the world right? think before u talk and fyi i also own a mercedes so i know what both cars are like and toyota is way better

  • You are a piece of shit, 2JZ-GTE kicks the crap out of most engines, your opinion is bias. Why did they UPGRADE the engine? I dunno, maybe because it was BETTER than the previous engine? Just a thought. More reliable too, if you need performance wtf wouldn't you do it ?

You cannot just have one country make everything perfectly.. Just look at your AMERICAN OPERATING SYSTEM, CHINESE COMPUTER with components from THAILAND etc.. that you used to type your message

BTW Toyota=#1 car mfg in USA

  • sweet swap!

  • Had a Mercedes, the engine was a hunk of shit. the rest of the car however was Awesome. I praise this swap. 2jZ is just a better engine.

  • complete opposite of BMW....awesome motors shitty electronics!!

  • lol, I have heard about bmw's problems..lol...still not quite as bad as AMC's wiring! I have to spend 1,100 on replacing my Jeeps wiring, it burned up ....sadly.

  • i just quoted a body harness on an '06 7 series. 80hrs labor, trust me i see em everyday

  • i dunno why there are so many haters of these kinds of motor swaps..

some of u people should get ure head outta ure ass and think, just for a second...that what if...this guy scored a mercedes that was for some reason written off...& his shop had the skills to do this swap..i dunno about some of u haters, but maintenence & swaps on JDM motors costs less coin than their euro counterparts..how many of u merc owners have to go to a euro shop every time there's a mystery "clunk". JDM=DIY, for most.

  • having that all said, it's probably also less costly to build a drift car using a JDM motor than one with a euro [motor]...

  • We had a mercedes, the engine was its downside, it was underpowered and we had to rev the piss out of it just to launch...AND it was unreliable and cost about as much as the car in repair. a Toyota engine is cheap simple to maintain powerful...AND reliable.

  • Don't get mad, its a fake 500E. Mercedes never produce any production right hand drive 500E's, just like the 190 Evo 2, 502 were built all left hand. You can turn a 300E into a 500E or E500 with body parts like rear Quarter fenders (very costly to install) then bumpers and front fenders, 94 500E only headlights. A Modded turbo 2jz i6 motor swap to make 700hp and cheap from JDM. To keep it german, swap the 90's BMW i6 M3 turbo motor makes between 600 to 1000hp in to the W124.

  • To the people that dont understand the japanese engine in a euro car haters.

Its not the fact that it has a japanese engine. Its the fact that it was done in a very rare E500, i wouldnt mind seeing this done to a standard 300E or 400E, but not the 500.

  • You must have been hit by a baseball bat, when you are going to put a Toyota engine into your E Class...

Poor car. Japanese alternative to an E 500 for less money..... cant understand that....

  • I wish I knew what he said . Could you add english subtitles ?

  • These drug addicts homeless are disgusting. This is a crime someone injure their neck hard!!

  • Cuz the 2jz was actually refined in germany

  • No only the 6 speed getrag transmission was

  • 2jzgte > any american made engine.

  • sorry bud, the 2jz can handle way more power on stock internals, its better built

  • @matasbrahu

& you're ignorant. It may be the the strongest in displacement but dont be cut short.

Americans are building big blocks that are good do do a 8000hp run from just 7 liters. its the biggest power/displacement ratio in the world. Thus nascar engines are extremely durable and achieve piston speed similar to an F1 engine making 9500+ rpm from 5.9 liters of displacement AND beeing regulated by the final gear rule. Without it itd be close to 11k as said. > piston speed in F1.

  • @ht666th

First of all, RPM is crank shaft rotational speed not piston speed. Secondly, F1 engines rev to over 20,000 RPM you door knob.

  • @dunkist360

first learn something about engine physics THEN TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAID and only then call me a door knob.

piston speed is the maximum upwards/downwards speed that piston reaches when the crank throws it at a given RPM. F1 makes 18k NASCAR makes 9.5k but the piston speed is the same because NASCAR crank has 2 times the throw of an F1 engine. GOT IT?

And for all the haters this doesnt mean im putting 2JZ down. Its one of my favorite pieces.

  • @ht666th

Piston speed is the average speed of the piston. It is a function of stroke and RPM.

Honda s2000 with F20c have similar piston speed like F1 and Nascar engines.

Almost every sport bike have over 25m/s.

Some mid 90's F1 engines reputedly approached from 28-29m/s mean piston speed.

  • @2jzgtejza80

    thank you I know that.

the S2k is a beast what was that.. 9k or something?

  • @matasbrahu Look up Nelson Racing Engines, and you'll flip that little symbol around.

  • @kovacs88

NRE are aftermarket engines specially tuned, but yes they are beasts.

  • @matasbrahu That's a little farfetched. I would argue that it is the best japanese engine around. The 2jz couldn't even turn the supercharger for the 500ci Hemi on top fuel dragsters. Not trying to rag on the 2jz... but still...

  • @98SST what a pointless point youve made there.. good work !!

  • Engine swap for that benz is a great idea, considering the repair on those things. Like the dealer said: "If you can afford the car, I'm sure you can afford the repairs."

  • 300ce has 2 door and e320 has 4 door...

i think its just wrong..put a supra engine in mercedes.

  • Toyota makes good motors... the mercedes motor probably needed a new engine harness, head gasket and water pump(works for mbusa). I'd rather see a 6.3AMG in it.

  • I agree a supra motor is far to good for a mercedes..

  • this is true.

  • Lol a Toyota too good for a Benz, funny. Stock engines in the 85-93 300e's can take 900hp on stock internals before rods start to bend. If anything that Benz is too good for the 2jz. The 500e was a very special car back in its day, depending on what you ordered it cost $66K to $82K.

  • 1993-current 2jzgte withstands 1000hp with stock internals...and from memory the supra was alot cheaper then a 500e i dont see what peoples problem is with a jap engine into a euro car...japanese have always been leaders in auto technology alongside with germany..

i would however be offended if they chose a GM v8 to put into that mercedes...

    euro v8 > yank v8

  • esta carro es una aberracion, una blasfemia, q pena por los japoneses, jamas igualaran ni mucho menos superaran la tecnologia automotriz alemana...

  • It looks like a 500e with the bigger rear flares, ive seen several 500e's with the updated headlights, but I'm not gonna argue with a mercedes museum dude :)

  • Did a vampire get him???

  • Perfect VIP merge..

  • nice car man ... cheak my ce toop speed :)

  • I want one with a supra 6 speed and a GT47 turbo, but still with the stock Benz body and wheels.

  • lol... I will not believe it till you have prove!(send me a picture) but seems like you dont even know your w124s,, if you have a hard time telling a 300CE and a E320 apart..

  • Its a bad w124 but its not a E500E! mercedes never produced any right hand drive e500e it has the e500e front bumper along with the front fenders! but still a sick build!

  • I've had this idea for a while. I want to purchase a 190e put the Evo II bodykit on it and swap in a 2jz-gte! That would be the meanest car on the road!

  • how did they fit a 2jz to a merc gearbox?..

  • Who said they were still using the merc gearbox. ;-)

  • it is possible. I know one Mercedes 500E with supra gearbox

  • my merc has a supra box, just requires modification to the tunnel. nothing major

  • 02:03-02:07 "benz automatic?" -"Yes"

  • ahh yes well pointed out can just here him say HAI!

  • Yes it is possible you can even attach a heavy duty truck gear box to a tiny engine just a metal plate has to placed between engine and gear housing because both have different fitting gear box is screwed on that plate and and then to engine if that plate is not is not accurate the engine slightly shakes on 1st gear

  • I love this model..

  • beautiful carrr

  • 5 2JZ = 1 E500

  • Mcmerc01

I wonder have you ever own a benz???

Plz check the price of modifying a 600hp benz wif benz engine n modify a 600hp 2jz benz...

  • I don't know wtf your saying, but your show is the shit!

  • yea 20 thousand dollars later you could make a benz 600hp i made 490hp on my 2jz stock turbo's i spend $800 so learn your shit about 2jz b4 you talk and ill still somke any benz with 600hp. oh and that crap!! cl55amg i race this dude 3 times till he finally gave up yes it was the 04 supra charge peace of shit!!

  • u think u gonna smoke any benz with 600hp dude even sl55 amg will whoop ur ass sl65amg will eat u alive the new c63 will beat u i saw few w124 300E with 650rwhp on stock block and internals only change was ecu fuel pump oil pump and injectors adn these are 20 year old cars running 600+rwhp on stock parts trust me 490hp won't be owning any AMGs any time soon e500's egnine is to big and no space to install turbo thats why he went with 2jz+ hes in japan its much easier to get 2jz

  • Thats true cant agree more i have proofs. Nice comment selmag u know what is a good car 2jz is shit in sea

  • why put a toyota engine -.- keep them for jap cars.. just put a bigger merc engine and customise it... most of them should see past at least 300bhp if u tune them if not even 600+

  • Damm i need a translation .

  • No No Noooooooo

a mercedes benz chassis is way toooooooo

gooood for an toyota engine .

So my advice is throw that toyo. engine out an put the E500 in .

  • Nice swap. But if it was mine, it would be a shifter. But it's really nice and the best sleeper on earth.

  • calm and quiet inside while drifting

  • mercedes most powerful car to date

  • crazy!!! I love it!!!!

  • love the blow off valve, what is the name of it?

  • can 2Jz fit in my merc96 C200.

  • maybe, but wont be an easy swap

  • i think that is a nice healty size did you see the 2jz s2000

  • also would be alot better in a 190e merc

  • thats that crazy japanese d1 drifter from top gear (GOOD CAR)

  • the best merc on earth

  • my dream family sedan!

  • auto :S

  • them japs are so crazy that they produce production cars with so much potential.

  • Was this a clip from an old JDM Option vid?

  • I think the machanic got stabbed in the neck before the interview.

  • Haha thats what I thinking :D

  • good jop mate !!

  • whats he saying =(

  • kazama rocks

  • yup....sure thing buddy!

  • ahhhh i love it.

  • brilliant!

  • I don't understand a shit :-)
