Robert Bollinger hired Carl Phare to design this coaster. R Bollinger financed its construction. There were 3 partners of Burrard Amusements who built Playland Park in 1958. The PNE approached a long time concessionaire about building a new park as PNE was not planning to renew Happyland's contract. A noted ride expert, well respect restaurateur and long time midway expert formed Burrard Amusement, LTD. Jobs were offered to all Happyland employees & local workers were used for the building.
Haven't been out to the PNE since I left Vancouver in '89. Glad to see that grand old coaster is still up and running. Used to ride it all day when I was young. Big Fun!
