I did an epic accidental assassination on this once. I climbed up onto the roof behind him, and went to jump down to kill him and ended up jump-assassinating him. I nearly got killed by the guards afterwards I was laughing so much :')

This was by far my favorite assasination in the entire game, i really liked his death speach. Then again, the nine templars all have pretty good speaches, but the Merchant king was above par in my opinion. Robert comes in second though just due to him being that epic (both in game and in real life)

The one thing i dont like about AC2 is that they shortened these great conversation scenes with your assassination targets almost to null.

And they took out almost all of the escape sequences after the assassinations. :(

Instead the memory sequence just ends.

These things were some of the coolest gameplay aspects of AC.

Why did they removed/shortened them ?

BTW, Altair has a much better voice actor in the german version. ;-)

Totally agree. I liked those surreal death speeches and how the victims were standing and talking, like they were in a purgatory explaining their actions or something.

There were some cool aspects of AC2 that I now wish were in AC1 (like hiring the factions. It'd have been neat if you could do that with vigilantes in the first game). But there were also some cool aspects from the first game that they sacrificed in the second.

you can climb at the left side of the area, throw throwing knives against some archers if they bother you while climbing. Once at the left side balcony climb up the roof area and find your way at the top of Nuqoud, now just climb down to him and use your hidden blade to stealth kill. (Refer to the map given to by one of the side missions earlier -forgot what mission it is my bad...-)

In most cases where there are monks available you can also climb to your destination. They're usually just there as an extra option rather than a solution.

What I did: Run to left, climbed that "thing" and reached the balconies. Killed some guys with my throwing knives and then I headed for the fat guy. I found him on the balcony jumped and killed him with my hidden blade... You know what's the weirdest thing? I LOVE SOCIAL STEALTH but I always end up to hack'n'slash xD and damn, I'm good at it... Once killed like 40 guards and I was trying to assasinate my target in social stealth. I am going to make a new profile now that I learned the game well.

The game is very good, but there are some things left to be desired. The guards don't attack very often, but you should be flying between them with your hidden blade or knife, constantly on the offense anyways.
