I really love the tone of the baroque trumpet unlike the thinner tone of today's modern trumpets. However progress comes at price I guess.

first call is the first half of the Royal Salute. the 2nd is the Cavalry reveille. been there done that as a State Trumpeter

The first one was an arrangement of the Royal Salute. There are two versions, the first is the short verison played when her Majesty is not in residence and is played by the duty trumpeter on the Queens Life Guard (Blues and Royals or Life Guards). He plays this as he leaves Knightsbridge Barracks and as he passes the Palace. It is also played at Horse Guards parade. The long version is played in front of her Majesty and also by the QLG when she is in residence.
