I understand both their points of view. There is so much manipulation, misinformation and secrecy that it is very hard to know what really is the truth. The general public must have access to as much information as possible, and real investigative journalism needed to sift through that information and root out the truth. Sure, governments need to keep things hidden for reasons of national security, but when that excuse does not actually serve the security of the people questions must be asked.
