this is an ignorant view of Hitler's oration and rhetoric. He gained power and the support of his countrymen through speeches. The enthusiasm for his speeches was based in nationalistic fervor and great speaking. The manipulation of the crowd was achieved through rhetoric, not power. VigisKane is right; however wrong his messages, Hitler was a great orator.

Yes we have a limited knowledge of history, and more important the context whithin it was lived, history is always written by the victor, but still words last for they are the beginings of ideas. Many words that are heralded as great are spoken by false people but the words are still good. I agree with your questioning as these words can be taken in many context, but I ask you as a kindred intellect, are any words meanigfull to you are any points of history important or are we just driffting?

But as a species and as a living force, it is in the best interest of the human race to survive. The issues that these figures speak of, and fight against, challenge our ability to survive: Such as Martin Luther king fighting racism, and Ronald Reagan fighting segregation. These people fought for the human race, knowing that even though disaster could strike Earth and wipe the human race of the face of the planet, I'm going to fight 4 my ppl until it does... and thats what makes them Great.
