  • Should LARPing be scripted?

  • 1:08 HAHAHAHA LIKE THE EPIC MEERCAT

  • damn he really smacked him there at the end

  • i would actually be interesed in this just becuz im in to the whole sword fighting deal and basicaly medievil times stuff

  • The guy with the long hair and beard is a total boss.

  • sick flow bro

  • Wow that was awesome. I'm trying to start LARPing, but I just can't find a group...

  • @StarCraftPilot me too!

  • Hmmm....here's a thought..you should train with a real sword, then when you go to use your larp sword you can move like, a bajillion times faster....or stop larping and just train for the day some guy messes with you and pull out a bamboo trianing sword to kick his ass....

  • @HUBS2896 or u could get those weigh gloves or attach them to your normal sword if u cant afford a metal sword...

  • im a noob at larp and need sum1 to explain it to me like races and classes and stuff contact me wit any info

  • @zkillr119

This info can differ greatly at events from another

  • 0:28 IS THAT JESUS? :0

  • ok...that guy has really cool hair. lol...

  • that was pretty cool. Not that I am an LARP fan but that was cool

  • not a big LARP fan, (nothing against it just not my thing) but I have to say that was pretty good

  • when i was 11 i went larping with a bunch of people form a gas station we dressed up as emos and fought in a park with noodles( like from a pool)

  • This is awesome!! I think you guys are good!!

  • You guys are annoyingly bad, learn martial arts.

  • Dumbest, fakest, definitely nerdiest, thing I've seen in my life. Needs blood or something. no guys. Just no. You all fail. Almost epically to be truthful.

  • @chanze25 Yeah, the blood with latex weapons (purpose for the advertisement) would look extremely fake. Thanks for the advice. We thought about it. But would look kind of ridiculous.

  • Nice.

  • OMG its legolas!!!

  • That was epic! I've never LARPed before but I've always thought it looked like awesome.

  • oanybody who rips on these ppl for being nerds should hut up. even you have to admit that if ur freinds never foundout u did this ud go out and try it :P also thumbs up if u recently watched roll models:P

  • All you people that keep commenting that this is stupid, why even bother clicking on the frekin video if you dont like LARP, the video says LARP in the name, and I don't understand why you would click on the video if you don't like LARP. Just sayin.

  • THAT WAS BOSS !!!!

i dont think people realize how in shape you gotta be to pull off alot of the things you showed in this video, you are doing great justice to serious LARPers and not giving people that horrible stereotype that LARPers are over weight and have no sense for combat or physical fitness

  • Great form guys! mad steez!

  • epic fail

  • FUKIN SAD CUNTS :L :L :L :L :L :L :L :L :L :L ... ive never seen as much nerds in my life :L :L :L ahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @LeeKavenbag105 excuse me but would you please describe a nerd for me? I find many people who call people who larp nerds. Its like saying if yo dont beleive in a certain god you are evil or saying that if you dnt do drugs you are stupid or if you chess you are a geek. I will personally say that i larp, and no one i have ever met has the balls to say to my face i am a nerd. So if you are going to say people who larp are nerds, please explain what a nerd is.

  • i actually want to do this it looks awesome and i enjoy a good sword fight one q would is be a bad idea to use a nerf sword lol just curious

  • Every dislike is another half wit retard who has nothing to do with his/her life so he/she spends all day on the internet and looks up videos like these to waste their time to write "nerd" in the comments section as to which we don't give a fuck.

  • No nerds were harmed and/or butt raped in the making of this film

  • For those who say LARPers are nerds..you are WRONG! were probably more in shape than you...wy? because while your on your computer wrighting dumb comments on how larping is gay, were outside doing exercise! still think its gay? then you got a problem.

  • Nerds......

  • wow u guys r like twenty and u r playin with toy swords wow u guys need girlfriends

  • @gunman601187 it wouldn;t exactly be safe with real one now would it?

  • wish i had friends who were serious about this stuff

  • @dmanconn Same here.

  • @dmanconn we were destined to be forever alone...

  • what is the music to this

  • No nerds were harmed during the filming

  • @Halofreakanoid I don't know what "boff legal" means, I assume it's not allowed in larp? I've never done larp, nor do I intend to, but I've seen these weapons at a store, and swung it around and hit my cousin with it. It looks nice, and doesn't hurt to get hit with it. But the cost is outrageous. Like I said, you can buy, depending on what your comparing to, 2-5 nerf swords so breaking them doesnt really matter as you'll have backup. Check out the nerf n-force marauder, its quite durable

  • can any one tell me if the "black prince" larp sword is any good

  • lol that was actually pretty cool!

  • That was actually the best LARP fighting scene I've seen so far! Great job!

  • these could be in sword fighting movie things

  • Hey guys, Great video! I would really love to get into LARPing with larger groups, now it's just me and my friend hitting eachother senseless. XD

  • Btw I love how the description says "an epic live action role playing battle". I guess the weapons are supposedly epic...

  • what is the music name?

  • Amazing! I loved it!

  • You are fags...

  • @deimos2k and you are a troll of any type.

  • Isn't Latex what they make condoms out of..

    so there fighting with CONDOMS?...

    lol

  • @jamsbruno1 That's an idiotic statement.

  • @MrUngawunga i agree

  • nerds

  • @geckosandreps1 : ..Are researched to be the best sexual partners actually. Thought you'd like to know.

  • @geckosandreps1 your mum is a nerd

  • y use fake for 100$ when i got my real sword for 20 bucks

    solid metal

  • @Drac0drag0n If you paid $20 for a metal sword, it isn't real.

  • @shaneISlucion technically, a if you took a pair of scissors apart, holding one of the handles, it'd be a "real" sword.

  • @Drac0drag0n : LOL. That's a display sword. You'd never get a real combat read sword for any less than $300, and the best go to almost $1000.

Plus, in order to have actual sword fights, you need years of training and weapon control.

  • lol kids

  • BAD ASS!!!

  • You kids can put together a pretty cool fight.

  • this would be interesting with real weapons

  • Were can u find these realistic weapons

  • What LARP rules are broken here? Just curious. I know almost nothing about LARP. I've only made a funny remake of the "Lightning bolt LARP nerds".

  • this is why I don't F*** with nerds. deep down inside their hard core warriors lol

  • This is such a misleading commercial, i honestly thought and hoped this was what larping was... not screaming "lightning bolt!"

  • So this is what the unemployed get up to....

  • @pilbarapunisher6714 Actually, everyone I know that plays LARP is employed. And to be honest I am pretty sure they all have better jobs and make more money, and have a higher IQ than anyone that slates us.....so if you are in fact to ignorant and/or stupid to understand, then don't watch LARP videos.

  • @CiaranChrist They get paid to Larp, or just have regular jobs and larp as a hobby?

  • @CiaranChrist Do they have girlfriends though??

  • @deimos2k Yes and funnily enough we arn't all virgins either *Gasp* oh my god, yes thats all of the stereotypical insults out of the way......Its just acting, you wouldnt take the piss out of a porn star...thats all fake and just a bit of fun....so suck it

  • @CiaranChrist Exactly.

How else would they afford the sw33t l3wt?

  • @CiaranChrist Exactly. I dont LARP but im thinking about doing it. And of what I have seen and heard its take decent athletic skill and requires a good imagination.

  • @CiaranChrist heh He has no idea. In my local group we have a few Lawyers, Surgeons, Accountants and several other professional that like LARP. They do it for exercise and for fun. So anyone who thinks it's just a bunch little kids and adults that live in their parents basement . They are sadly mistaken. I my self happen to be in college to become an Actuary. Though I'm not a LARPer I do boffer fight which gets treated just as badly as LARP does. It's amazing how ignorant some people are.

  • If you want to impress me, show the weapons in an actual larp battle. I know this is only a commercial but I saw like 10 standard larp rules broken. Be responsible with my larp world!

  • nice commercial, but those latex weapons are ridiculously over priced compared to a $20 nerf sword and a $5 can of spray paint...

  • @cesorz

you get what you pay for. check out the other latex weapons on the market. The material used to construct these is far more expensive than a 'nerf sword' . Also, these are much safer than a nerf sword when it comes to impact and hitting another person with it.

    do some research. =)

  • @shaneISlucion no doubt they are probably well made, I can't imagine why anyone would charge 50-150 bucks for low quality stuff right? I disagree with you in terms of the safety, I've seen and tested both in stores, so I have all the research knowledge I need.

They are near equal in safety, getting whacked with an N-Strike Warlock axe feels the same as getting whacked with a latex bone reaver war axe. They both feel like foam. It doesn't get any safer than a toy made for 8 years old and up...

  • Comment removed

  • @cesorz while you have a point when dealing with 8 year old consumers, this is for the safety for those who are pretty much 18+ . So lets look at this again, Nerf SWORD and latex SWORD. I've swung one of those at a friend, full force. It left a large bruise due to the center of the nerf sword not having quite enough padding, nor did the core flex for that particular activity while latex weapons are. Try the nerf sword & you'll see a difference without all that foam like on the axe

    Kind Regards

  • @cesorz : Nerf swords aren't boff legal and break quite easily.

  • i love this, wish i could get my fam/friends to do larp with me

  • that is spectacular! how long did it take you to choreograph all that? :D

  • @KillzoneV3

to be honest, we choreographed this 12 am- 7am that morning. and started filming at 9am. =)

  • wtf was that shit

  • Great job, I've seen worse battle scenes in real movies!

  • Hey question to anyone who can answer, can you hit full force with those swords or do you have to hold back so they dont break? I want to say they were hitting hard but it looks like they hold back a little. Just wondering cause my friends and I like to spare, 2 more questions as well, ar there any latex katanas and how much do latex weapons cost?

  • @Gamefreek7749 Me and my friends spar all the time with these hit full force as we do and my weapons are in great shape.. the best will cost a pretty penny id say 100 dollars a peice for decent weapons but just go to a sight and youll find some good pricing

  • even if they are nerds it takes a lot of courage even role playing with a steel object rather dull or sharp serious injuries can still occur blunt weapons so it took a lot of guts especially for them knowing they would be chastised for what they do

  • where did that guy get his rabbit backpack?

  • See, now what I need is a good, flanged mace. Durable, both blunt and sharpish, and total kickass. Ahh, swords are so cliche.

  • You´re calling them nerds, but it´s pretty funny, and Yes, it seems neardy, but if u guys dont wanna try it then please shut up with all the bad comments, btw epic vid please make another one!

  • NEVER FUCK WITH NERDS!!!!!!

UNLESS U WISH TO BE IN 10,000 TINY PEICEZ!

  • That was fantastic. Are these weapons expensive? Definitely beats PVC and open/closed cell foam.

  • @KoburaCape well the highest they go is $70.00 on weapons and most other larp stuff, just go to museum replicas ltd.com

  • Real steel is better. Everything is more fun with risk.

  • @combatcommand been fighting as an reenactor for 5 years now.. and also play LARP.. for sure reenactment is fun but with LARP you can do all the thing you´ve ever dreamed of fighting with steel. just give it a try. these guys are really good IMO > based on what i´ve seen here

  • @7win70w3r latex weapons just arent as fun for me, without the clink and clank and sharpness of a real sword, i just cant enjoy it as much.

my friends and i prefer to spar with wooden Bokken.

  • @combatcommand I agree 100 percent. I try to get my friends to do it but they avoid it

  • @SgtSamProductions haha, are they scared to get a stick to the stomach?

  • @combatcommand Pretty much. They don't realize that if you use metal your going to be more determined to fight as best you can. They also don't realize that, if you get cut, everyone has to go through pain. I make and buy all these steel swords and no one has the balls to use them

  • @SgtSamProductions

I remember sounding like you two. Then I sliced my friends hand open. Once you get a $3000 hospital bill, this little fantasy of fighting with REAL swords goes down the drain really fast. Fighting with sharp battle ready swords does not prove you to be a better fighter or a 'tougher man.' It shows that you are ignorant and neglect safety precautions when fighting with weapons designed to KILL people. But you live and learn.

  • @shaneISlucion First of all just because they are metal doesn't mean they are SHARP. Besides, we've been doing it for years. When those of my friends who will do it do it, we guet cut but we don't really care. If you're friend got his hand sliced open then he must have not been good with a blade

  • @shaneISlucion screw safety :D!!!

  • @combatcommand Thank you

  • @SgtSamProductions haha, and even if you do get cut, by the time you do (unless your sparring with a Rapier-pussy) you'll be so pumped up on adrenaline you'll barely feel it.

  • @combatcommand What steel weapon is ur fav?

  • @SgtSamProductions personally i prefer a Hand-and-a-half sword, a wakizashi, or a mid 1700's cutlass.

  • @combatcommand Mine is the Spatha

  • @SgtSamProductions those have a nice shape.

  • And who said nerds weren't the new cool?

    Geek pride my friends!

  • THUNDERBOLT

  • this relly looks kinda stupid and ugly

  • @CheeseBurgerOrTaco then why take the time to finish watching it?

  • this is almost best than a blockbuster movie

  • I actually just bought a $150 Latex Frostmourne sword xD i've got a question, i've never heard of latex weapons before and it should come tomoro...what should i expect? Is it hard like wood covered with pads or just like plastic?

  • @Necrod0rus its a fiberglass core covered by kevlar and a nice strecthy material

  • hahahahha i feel like every good larp person would do some work in a zombie apocolypse. minus the magic spells though...

  • LOL. Epic, but LOL.

  • I play LARP myself and this is a very nice choreography...The hardware loks cool too ;-)

  • @XtremAlien They have to gain them first lol, you dont become a master of the sword within a year lol

  • that looks so fun

  • Fucking epic.

    period

  • awesome movie guys,

  • that was actually realy good

tryin to get ideas for a movie of mine that im Makeing

  • pro XD

  • These guys seem more like filmmakers than LARPers.

  • @Quoranation : here's the twist. We are larpers too!!

  • lol 1:36 he's fighting with 2 one hands, and in one moment his weapon changes into 2h^^

  • EPIC

  • Sir With Long Hair you was totally amazing! Love the costumes too. It all looked so real! Loved it ^^

  • THAT WAS SICK

can someone tell me if these swords are actually good for fighting, like fighting hard? at the same time will these hurt less if you had gotten hit with a stick or real sword?

    thanks

  • @jsfdude "OR A REAL SWORD"

    .........

  • @zombiesrcuming4u

ya me and my friends fight with real swords, its hard to go full cause were afraid to hurt each other, well I am lol and we have, BUT no seriously

  • @jsfdude Yeah... these swords are both A) good for fighting and B) scaring the s$%t out of people. For example, you get into a car accident, immediately get out of your car with a nice big latex warhammer running at the idiot who hit you yelling "BY MORADIN I SHALL CRUSH YOUR SKULL TO THE GROUND!!!" and watch them not only pay right there on the spot for your damages but also immediately soil himself in fear... XP

  • @crank636 XD ROFL NICE

  • I like the parts where the swords wobble.

  • awesome, could use some sound effects though

  • now why you gonna raid a group of rangers, seriously?

  • Watching this makes me proud to be a Nerd. :D

  • fucking LARP

  • kids nt aford that

  • The only thing that guy can't slay is pussy.

  • very epic

  • That was amazing

  • Nerd Fest! Wish i was in it ;)

  • Comment removed

  • 1:55 very nice weapon, good video

  • Everything from 1:31 to 1:38 was awesome. But the whole thing was practiced and beautiful.

  • 5 stars for being nerdy as hell, with equally nerdy commentors writing big-ass novels to each other.

  • lol @ 1:07

  • steel Axe and sword are a good combination ...especially against sword and shield ,

  • That was fricking sweet! : )

  • Nerds have never looked so epic.

  • @Bluejerra yah nerds that can kick yer ass XD

  • meh, not that good. this is a hollywood sword fight, I train in Medieval weaponry and I must say that using two sords was never a good idea. considering that the art form is to not beat up your enemies but to use the blade as the extension of your arm. now, do people punch with two fists? no. did people use two swords? yes, Im not denying it. but it wasn't commen. plus a ranger, never EVER went in packs of two, and they were not well equipped :P

  • I have a friend that uses 2 swords, and I'm the only one that can beat him, and he is the only one that can beat me. He blocks with one and striks with the other, works veary well for him =). Iove when people say that people that do that are neerds and all that, It takes A LOT to be able to do that, For one you are incased an about 125lb. And swinging about 10-25 pounds, if it is an axe or hammer, up to about 115, so yeah, I do not know a lot of people that can do that =)

  • Woah! If the weapon are that heavy then you better find yourself some new ones. A greatsword (those really, really long two-handed swords that people have been using for so long) almost never weighed more than 5lbs. Greataxes shouldn't weigh more than 8lbs. Don't base your notions on weapon weight from video games or ttrpgs.

I will agree, though, that LARPers will oftentimes carry a lot of weight on their person and this can be deceptively difficult (from an empirical perspective).

  • I am not I cloect((sp?)) And I have ones that weagh more than that, there are a lot that weagh less than that, but I was trying to make a point And my friend has a battle axe that is 110-115 LB and he is the only person I know that can swing it.... yes he is BIG. But I am just trying to make a point, and basterd swords did weigh a Hell'a lot, I do not have a light one.

  • If you want, you can check out Warlords' Latex Weapon's site. They have the weights of most of their weapons listed in their respective descriptions. The heaviest sword I could find was a pretty large greatsword weighing 6lbs. There have been many fallacious conceptions of weapon weights and articles debunking them. Metal just doesn't weigh that much and anything heavier than 8lbs is just inefficient and unweildy.

But don't just take my word for it. Do some research and look on the site. : )

  • Oic, I am talking about real wepons LOL. Now I see what you are talking about, sorry, LOL.

  • @firefox858

Sos to disagree - but yeah they do. You'll never see a boxer with only one glove on! In boxing you can attack and block with either hand in any range of combinations, making you harder to predict. I can see how the same would be true of a couple of well handled short swords.

In fact, I think Hans Talhoffer had a few pages dedicated to fighting with duel weapons and if anyone should be the measure of it - it's him!

All the same - give me a glaive any day! Much easier to work with!

  • As much as I want to agree with you about two swords not being tactical, I have to disagree. Some renowned styles and swordsmen have claimed recognition through their use of two-sword combat styles. Perhaps one of the most well-known, Miyamoto Musashi, has won the deference of many aspiring swordsmen.

Two-sword styles may be more difficult to learn, demanding greater coordination and strength than single-sword styles, but once mastered, I think it's advantageous to know how to use two-at-a-time

  • two sword styles are actually better than single handed styles if practiced enough, I've read books on japanese sword styles and the author himself said that two hands on a single blade is inefficient especially while on horse back why use two hands when you could have a blade in each hand you can always do things like blocking with your dominant hand and following with an attack from your off hand his hands are both on his single blade whats he to do?

  • Ward it on a vambrace, most likely. Remember, these guys are using fake European swords. Europeans used very good plate armor, not the...no offense, samurai fans...pretty fail Japanese armor. If facing an armored opponent, you wanted a sword with some heft to it.

  • @TaliesinKyte well yes your right it all depends on your opponent i'm merely defending dual sword fighting styles since i believe it can be very effective. but based on your opponents weapon, off hand, and armor there's a multitude of different ways to fight your opponent, though training is the most important factor in any fight :)

  • In open woodland at that time of year you could hear people half a mile away. Presumably, a 'ranger' spends their life in the wilderness and should know a little better so 2/10 for that. If you're going to do hollywood sword fights then get your editing/sfx skills a notch higher. 1/10 for that. Stick to fantasy games and leave the woodlands in peace for hells sake.

  • @dasfleece wow u cant possibly be serious... this is an advertisment. how about u step out from behind your computer and actually go outside for a change......

  • Hey sorry man, i had no idea it was an advert. I have NO idea what a larp is, ijust saw what i thought was an attempt to recreate a sword fight.....i spend most of my time outside by the way, hence the comment about open woodland at that time of year. Not a great ad though for anyone who's ever actually DONE tracking, martial arts or stunt work.

  • @dasfleece no you couldnt...

  • wow that was really epic lol
