  • Wow..

I got some of the best 3d programs in the world but just don't know how to use it...

I have Maya, 3d Max, Daz Studio, Zbrush, Bryce along with many other programs but I have no idea how to use them....

It'll be great if you can make some more tutorials which take us all the way to whereyou add the textures or many others things you could think of....

  • @2010DowNloaDs thnx in putting faith in me

i'll do my best, but u can learn from youtube as well :)

  • @Karim3ds

Yeah that's true but some doesn't explain much......But thanks for all the great tutorials.......

  • @RHayabusa thnx but sadly i'm not sure i understand ur question :( sorry

  • For someone who isn't a pro user, you put together an awesome tutorial! I just picked up Zbrush 4 a couple days ago and bought a digital sculpting book to go with it. The method you show here isn't all that much different then the principles in the book; less technical but a whole lot faster. Great job!

  • woaw great tuto thanks a lot

  • you got the boobs right on

  • YESSS im loving this song.

  • my import dosent work :((((

  • Oh Zbrush react with a tablet? Man I need this program! Btw rly nice tutorial, keep it up! :D

  • @Zanktus yes u can use it nicely too :) i've genius tablet

  • @Zanktus

u just want zbrush because of ur tablet !!!!

  • @Zanktus You can get a trial at Pixologic for 30 days.

  • dude i love ur videos..its simple a straight forward..

do u use a mouse or tablet when modelling??

  • @nofuchu thanx :)

well i've a tablet but i fail using it in all the work except for fine detailing :)

and i'm looking forward to do better work with it :)

  • Nice job on the vid...another way to view the mesh while you are placing the zspheres is to just hit the "A" key to see the model as an Adaptive Skin, which is way easier to look at...

  • .ztl?? :\ is that photoshop stuff?? how did u import that jpg to intersect like that at the end?? :D

  • nice video, even the music is nice, not that Rock they like to put in sometimes to distract, lol well, the only annoying thing, kinda, it's the bouncing back and forth from front view to the side, well, but i know this is a 2.5D program... thanks Karim

  • thnx to u too :) tc

  • @Karim3ds please help when i click import nothing shows up im using Zbrush 3.5 R3 plz reply

  • @Karim3ds when i click import the file explorer doesn't show up please help im using 3.5 R3

  • very gud zpheres tutorial on human modelling

love to c more especially in sculpting whole body man.

  • thnx :)

  • I was learning 3ds Max by mylself and really its very difficult if you compare with Zbrush! Zbrush has great results in a feel minutes! I love your vid and I hope learn a lot with you! Thanks!

  • Zbrush cannot be compared to 3D Studio Max in my opinion. They both have two completely different uses. Zbrush is a 3D scultping program where 3DS Max is modeling tool. I think it is probably better to model the base of your character or object in 3DS Max and then transfer it to Zbrush for fine tuning. That is if you have both programs.

  • Maya is throbbing with pure awesomeness goo

  • Maya is good for animation. 3D Studio Max is better for static objects. Essentially, they can both produce the same quality work but each has completely different interfaces and learning curves. I prefer 3D Studio Max :P

  • @GuruOfTheInternet

just like pen and paper its all in the artist, my tool is lightwave3d

  • Lightwave is nice too. It has a great rendering engine. However, it uses 3 sided polygons, doesn't it? Doesn't work to well with programs like 3DS Max :(.

  • @GuruOfTheInternet

a poly is 3 sided in all programs, but theres a quad it starts out in and you can change it just like max to 3 sided. it does work well with max, max, and the lower end stuff too.

  • @GuruOfTheInternet You dismiss the power of Zbrush too quickly and easily. Zbrush is indeed a very powerful modeling tool, in addition to sculpting. I've used 3DS (old school), 3DS Max, Maya, Lightwave, Truespace, Solidworks, Rhino etc.. etc. I'm in the industry, I have the software. Other than strict mechanical modeling, Zbrush is easier and faster to build base models upon which to sculpt. See vids by ZBRUSHatPIXOLOGIC and slorpthegillman for examples.

  • @GuruOfTheInternet Thats how I do it, you just cant get the same clean Topolgy with zbrush and optimize your mesh for games and the like.

Base mesh in max, get the UVWs unwrapped, Zbrush basic detail out in one subdivision, take back to max make sure UVs are good and remove excessive loops, go back to zbrush make a normal map, photoshop a texture, then all together in max and render

  • @GuruOfTheInternet

    3ds max killer !!!! ahahahah

  • @GuruOfTheInternet i prefer maya instead of max

  • @GuruOfTheInternet I was thinking the same thing with one exception. I have been using blender for the past year. Zbrush will be great for fine tuning my models. YES!!

  • @GuruOfTheInternet 3ds max is 3.5k -_-

  • thank u alot for ur nice comment, hope u get more advanced and share ur work too someday :)

    best of luck

  • thank u for this

  • great easy tutorial

  • great straightforward tutorial that even a noob such as myself can follow. I think I like this method better than the x-planes in 3D. Thanks for a great vid.

i'm too a noob in zbrush, i really dont have the time to learn anymore tools other than max :(
