Yeah part of it is filmed at TREES in Deep Ellum Dallas Texas
i am the guy jumping up a bunch in the front towards the end of the video
wow that was almost 10 years ago
after the show my friends JESSE and CARLA and I helped their road manager return a rental car to the DFW airport and got stuck there as the bus was waiting to head to Austin for their next show, and earlier that day I had sold a 3 foot WATER PIPE to CEVIN at the INDICA ALLEY!
GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!! JUST SIMPLY GREAT oGhr is just one of a kind. and put the Great cEvin Key with him and you have 150% greatest music of our time.
@dasMobius Sorry You Tube. I meant for that comment to post privately to my friends on Facebook. I pressed the wrong button and it became a public You Tube comment.
I was indeed at that show (in Austin) with my brother (who's name is Kamin). I've watched this video several times, but can't see myself or my brother here. The video may have actually used footage from several shows, I don't know...
Funny story: at the show, a drop of Ogre's sweat fell in my eye by accident.
I have the same Tattoo as Ohgr has under his right wrist (The Black off-center Cross) though mine has a maroon circle for the center with black cross-hairs intersecting it and is also under my left wrist instead of right.
Badass tattoo that I'd recommend to all SP/Ohgr Fans >;P
Wait, so this is the guy from skinny Puppy, right? I like this band alot. It's unique industrial. I mean, I like Skinny Puppy too, dont get me wrong, but this band just kinda grew on me more. I love the guitar synth riffs. Nice touch.
that's cuz tim skold sounds almost identical to marilyn manson. i met them both in 2002. and talked to them about it. alot of the vocals on golden age of grotesque are actually doubled up between them. and that type of vocal style has always and ONLY been good for industrial. watch some Revolting Cocks from when chris connely was the vocalist. bamfest shit ever!
Have to disagree with those that dislike his vocals here. Just heard the studio version and I actually prefer the rawness of his vocals in this live performance to what's on the record.
well in the studio... you have full range of vocal effects and tracks.live you have adrenaline pumping and i am sure after playing tons of show dates it will tend to put a damper on the vocal cords.... nivek ogre is still a great singer in the studio and live. and yes his name is nivek ogre not OHGR.OHGR IS the name of the band.
to Hiei3 & others who say Ogre doesn't sing well in this video. it's cuz the song was recorded live & Ogre had a lot of vocal problems during this tour. Ogre's doctor told him to cancel some shows, but Ogre kept the tour going. & he was also ordered from his doctor not to talk in between shows. it was pretty serious. i give Ogre mad respect for continuing on with the tour, even tho it did effect his health. but listen to the LP version on Welt, you'll notice the vocals aren't as rough than here.
pretty sure part of their little video in the background is some chick giving head, and their lead is really a horrible singer, but I like them anyways :)
Dude at around 31-32 seconds until the end of that shot, the guy in the shot... is that Trent Reznor? That's fucking great! That looks just like him... wouldn't that be an irony?
The irony is in the name, and in the fact that Ogre looks very strange on the stage, but you can also see him among the audience in one shot. There is also "don't let him" phrase, and you will see a naked Matthew Perry when you play it backwards!
This remix is way better than the studio version. I went to their Portland (OR)show on this tour -- it was one of the strongest performances I've ever seen.
Yea for real.. I am huge SK fan but I'm also a recluse. I just found out around 3 months ago from Youtube that Ogre had songs out under this band name. I love the part in the songs second vs where he says "Sucking your savior from the bottle all gone" and his voice cracks and it makes the song sound better! Reminds me of the ending of Killing game where he goes insane.
Hrm, some of this video looks like it was done here in Tulsa at Cain's Ballroom. This show was a long time ago, but I distinctly remember a video cam being passed around through the front row of the crowd.
Great! On the subject of vocals, in OhGr's case it doesn't really matter because he has such an interesting stage persona as it, and the slightly off notes add character. Take Nick Cave for an example, he doesn't make quite a few of his notes, but it is just part of his style.
I hate the video but I loooooooooooooove the song

Ohgr is a great singer on the albums, but why is it he's not as great in this video?
Hiei3 3 years ago
Because he is heavily distorted on the album, and further edited to sound just right. On stage, all he has is his voice.

People always seem to put down Niveks vocals on this site but I love them live, he sounds really raw/punk.
People should watch videos 'With(out) Teeth' if they want 'singing', like 'Hand That Feeds'? *shudders*
