  • I am a teacher too. I will be watching.

  • I am new to your vlog, but I want to encourage you. I am up too and know how it feels to be backtracking. You can do this. Let's do this together. I will be watching... and I hope you'll watch, too.

    Rocky

  • Oh girl....we've all been here before. Don't feel too bad....you've lost so much weight and already done so well use that as your inspiration. You CAN do this because you have done it before! = )

  • It's really easy to gain 10 lbs in 3.5 months. It 'seems' like OMG, how did this happen, but all you have to do is eat 300-350 calories more a day that you 'should' to maintain 'current' body weight, and there you go - 10 lbs... hope you're doing better now! please subscribe :)

  • sometimes i don't want to give up either :D good luck and keep it up though!

  • Your beautiful no matter what you look like Allison

  • you look amazing keep up the good work!

  • I just found all your vlogs! I love them :)

    Subscribed <3

  • Majority do not have the discipline to lose weight by themself. You are one of them. Find a partner to go through the journey together. Do not wait. Some may sugar coat your problem, i.e. "it's ok, you still look cute". Yes you look cute but the danger of obesity is real. Act now, please, for your own sake and those around you who loves you.

  • *sigh* i just texted you! (GOD I HOPE YOU HAVE THE SAME # AS BEFORE!! ) LOL I swear to got you were inside my head speaking for me. I have been thinking about making pretty much this exact same video!!! REDICULOUS! I'm so ready to find my mojo. but i have NO IDEA how to get it going again! i keep stop/starting with the eating and working out. boo.

Well- You look great! Lets not beat ourselves up and just figure out how to get going again! LOL

  • Try not to beat yourself up too much, hun. We all have, and no doubt WILL, gain some weight given the time of year :-) Just think, the holidays' will soon be over and once the New Year arrives we can all concentrate on getting back on track with the healthy eating!

Whether you have gained weight, or not, you are still gorgeous!

Have a lovely, lovely, Christmas, Allison...

  • Have you thought about going to a therapist who specializes in eating disorders? I struggle with eating out boredom/loneliness and that prevented me from losing any weight. I did some workbook exercises and learned some coping skills which helped a lot. i think anyone who has more than 100lbs to lose has something bigger going on than making poor food choices. I mean this suggestion nicely -- I've been watching you for a while and know you can succeed!

  • Allison, I'm so happy you're back, even though things are bad at the moment. I've gained 40lb since being at my lowest weight in January, and recently I've been having a lot of health problems as well. Even though I know that I need to lose weight and I want to do it, I just cant seem to get 'there'. I have started looking into emotional eating, and trying to get to the root of why I eat. Maybe talk to someone about why you eat, and start to work through that, before you start 'dieting'.

  • keep it up, your super pretty(: and i think that its very inspiring to other people that you put up weight loss vlogs, i dont think i would have the courage to share with the whole internet my problems. p.s your hair is very cute! lol

  • I'm glad you made a video that takes alot when struggling.....just do a clean start maybe after the holidays?! you can do this!!!! oh and your hair is super cute :o) HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

  • I am right there with you! I am so upset with my self! I was finally under 200 lbs and I had to screw it up. It is amazing how just 10 lbs makes you feel icky. I don't know how I lived with 50 - 60 extra lbs.

  • I can totally relate to the stretchy pants muffin top! I refuse to buy a size up so I'm recommitting to medifast. I wish you luck and strength in your continued weight loss journey!

  • Thanks for making this video, I feel the same way that you do about gaining weight back. I have gained back 30 pounds since summer 2009 and I feel disappointed in myself. Good luck and thanks <3

  • i love your hair. you're so pretty! :) sorry i don't have any diet advice for you

  • Remember, it's a holiDAY, not a holiMONTH or holiYEAR. Plan when you will have the sweets and whatnot, and get rid of the rest! I find that giving away food is best for me, that way I don't feel guilty about not eating it.

Remember, you're only human! This is also a very big change you're making, so it's going to definitely take some time. I know you don't want to give up foods, so have you tried reading anything on intuitive eating? It has helped me before, hope it does to you!

  • ..but your cute so it's ok !! lol I totally feel ya girl, I lost about 11 lbs and then over thanksgiving I gained 4lbs back and I just feel disgusting and just not motivated anymore. Although when I watched a show last night on the dallas cowboys cheerleaders i was motivated to do a few crunches ! woo

  • erm ignore the having the same name! LOL that was the last video i watched - everything else stands though!

  • omg its ridiculous how similar we are! Not only in name... but in the gaining weight, the muffin top, the not wanting to give anything up. I don't have much advice for you since i'm restarting over myself... but i wanted to say that i get it and if you ever want anyone to comisreate with or to help to motivate each other contact me!!! :)

  • @journey265 i did join mandy's 21 day challenge. want to do it with me?

  • LOVE your hair. I am a binge eater, a compulsive over eater. I eat because it makes me feel good. BUT after I eat it i am so uncomfortable and icky. I know how you feel right now..things will get better. You should try the new ww program. PointsPlus. I love it. You can still eat that good food...just limit it. How will you feel AFTER the holidays? Will you regret the choices you made now? (((HUGS))) We are all here for you and support you!

  • But you ARE giving something up. You're giving up your health. You're choosing food over your health. I'm not knocking you for it. I do it too. Watching your video just now made me change my mind about eating something this late. Yes I love food. Yes it feels good to eat. Yes I want to eat something right now but I just decided that I want my health more. Losing so much weight so far has stopped all my bodily aches that you just described. I love it. I want to feel EVEN BETTER than I already do!

  • @Imskinnyinside By the way, I film EVERY meal I eat and post it on here. I have a weekly weigh in. I had stopped it for awhile but started it up again. It really does help me to know I'm going to show everyone what I ate. You have to be honest and film it all though.

  • it's alright girl. i think we all see a little of us in you. why don't you wait til after the holidays if it's too hard for you now?

when the new year comes just make an effort to change the way you are eating. once you make up your mind, you will do it. your mind just isn't made up yet. i wish you all the luck xoxo

  • @gooseblack12 It's not alright. She needs encouragement to start now not later. Tomorrow usually never happens for people who say, "I'll start tomorrow". I know that from 10 yrs of saying I'd lose weight later. People do each other wrong when we tell each other oh it's ok that you gained weight or don't worry that you ate that. We need to hear the truth, myself included. She needs to start today. She deserves to because she's worth the effort.

  • i second what shrinkingproject says!! that that would be such a good idea! we are all rooting for you, and alot of us are right beside you too!

  • we all go through hard times :( what about committing to making a video food log for one week to hold yourself accountable and get back on track?

  • @ShrinkingProject what exactly do you mean by a video food log? like taking video of everything i eat? that sounds terrifying, and probably exactly why i should do it lol.

  • @allisonsfat haha yeah...i think it makes it easier to eat healthy when i know that i have to share on video everything that i eat :)

  • Thanks for doing this video. Thanks for being just human. I can so relate to what you are saying.

  • @masterwelli thanks for relating and appreciating my humanness :)

  • Start with getting your food on track! Just healthier options and keep working towards better and better meal choices. Workouts can come with time

  • I HATE diets... because there is so much deprivation in them all that it begins to lead to the addiction and other issues. Cut your portions in 1/2, drink water between bites, and begin to foster a closer relationship with God in place fo food. Sounds simple ~ I know its' not I am almost 6 months into and I struggle ~ but it is so worth it.

  • You remind me of "Molly" from the TV show "Mike & Molly"! Totally a good thing in my opinion, she's pretty rad. Keep your head up, at least your holding yourself accountable. Good luck! :)

  • @Desperate2LoseWeight i've had people tell me that i look like her before lol, i think she's darling so thanks!

  • Being overweight is such a horrible feeling.. and losing weight is so difficult. Most of us know what to do but have a hard time putting the plan into action. Life is tough!

  • your ring is gorgeous!! :]

  • Have you tried the paleo diet? I'm down 26 pounds

  • Your hair looks awesome!!! But hey lets all go for the gusto starting Jan. I need to lose weight as well and get healthy. I feel horrible in my skin and so out of shape, it shows in every way, shape and form. Why don't we all challenge each other and support eachother? I just think before the holidays is a no go, I am not saying over eat and go crazy but allow yourself this time to think about things and establish a good jumping off point!

  • I gained 30 pounds since march...i'm lost 14 of it but....ugh...this weight loss shit sucks

  • So, the greatest news is, you don't have to give up Christmas foods and drinks. But you need to make choices. You have choices thank God! I know how you feel and I'm trying to lose the weight I gained over this year. Props to you for making this confession video. I need to make am update.

You can have all the tools and motivation in the world but if you can't make your heart do it, nothing can. It has to come within you. Find the reasons that will keep you going. I want to see u succeed and be

  • You're awesome Allison!! Enjoy your life and do what you feel is right for you. Continue to make videos no matter where you are in your weight loss/gain...you are such a light at the end of the tunnel for me and your laugh is contagious! Love ya Hun, take care and keep laughing, it burns calories. LOL :)

  • Have you ever tried Weight Watchers(their new program is awesome btw)? I'm curious what programs you have tried. You said you have tried Medfast. What else have you done. What seemed the most natural and happy way of eating (albeit on a diet) to u?

  • @amiesparkle00 i've done everything... slim fast, medifast, liquid diets, extreme low cal diets, no fat diet... blah blah blah. and yes i've done WW, 3 TIMES lol.

  • o hun..you are on a roller coaster that many of us are on.....me too am stuck!! im on weight watchers, did great at first 15lbs down like nothin..then..i lost the drive to do it..and im stuck...:[

  • you are so funny and i love your hair, but don't worry..you are NOT the only one who feels like you do, like when i'm watching The biggest loser...i'm at home eating cupcakes sitting in front of the T.V..ugh, total fatty. LOL you are not alone!

  • @angeladivine that is soooo me! ha.. sad but true.

  • The science behind weight loss isn't hard to understand, but I know that the commitment to eating healthy and exercising is. Don't think of losing weight as something that is going to be an all or nothing thing - you don't have to wait for a new week or the next day to get back on track. You can start by throwing out the rest of the candy! Know this: Your body isn't going to work differently from anyone else. You need to eat more than you burn to put on weight - it doesn't just appear.

  • Honey there will always be ups and downs on this journey & this is just one of ur downs, u can still have ups. Cut urself some slack, u've still lost an awful lot of weight- look at the bigger picture! Give urself a break and start afresh in the New Year with renewed enthusuasim and motivation- dont think about it until then. Im starting to make videos in january and would love if ud watch saying as ur the inspiration im making them! Take care and Merry Christmas, keep making videos! Sian x

  • Part 4 (last one, I promise haha)

So moral of the story, keep on keeping on and hopefully 2011 will be a good weight loss year for both of us...if not, at least we will be fat and happy eating our food :)

  • @RachaelSue hahahaha so the moral of the story is that i need to get the stomach flu? LOL JK JK ;)

  • Part 3

...well that caused a spiral effect of remembering how freakin good junk food is so over a year I have gained a lot of it back. I keep telling myself I'll just start the diet again but it always fails a few days into it. I think I've lost and gained so much the past few months that overall I'm only down 5 pounds since August. Right now I'm on a losing kick (thanks to getting the stomach flu to jump start it haha) so hopefully that can last for awhile.

  • Part 2

...the weight back. but today I am sitting here 75 pounds heavier (since January) which is something I said I would never let happen. But shit happens. I had surgery last Christmas to remove my gallbladder(side effect of losing so much weight so fast) so I was no longer allowed to work out and I was encouraged to eat double brownie bottom sundae's for dinner to gain weight because the surgery had caused me to get below the healthy weight range....

  • This is a super long comment with several parts...so part 1

I have stopped coming to youtube as much, but when I do it is to see if you have posted a new video, so I am always excited when you do. Don't be too rough on yourself, it could be waaay worse. I spent all of last year losing weight and lost about 110 pounds, getting down to 120. I was the one people would say "well if it doesn't fit Rachael it isn't going to fit anyone" which felt sooo good to hear, so I told myself I'd never gain...

  • You're beautiful. Shit sucks sometimes. Especially when you KNOW how hard it is to lose weight, you go through the effort of losing it, only to gain it back knowing exactly how hard it's going to be to lose it again. But better to do this now BEFORE CHRISTMAS than after. That way you don't have to gain even a single more pound. You can start today, right now bb! A Weight Watcher I know who has made lifetime said she quit WW THREE TIMES before finally sticking to it and getting to her goal.

  • First, good for you for putting it all out in the open. That is the hardest part for most of us.

Second, I'd say try your hardest right now, but know that come January all of America will be feeling similar. That's when all the new products and deals come out. I've had to resign up for weight watchers and it's really hard this time of year. I know what it's like to eat all those goodies and then regret it. I struggle with it daily and often lose. Feel free to contact me. I feel ya! - Steph

  • Hey! I just posted a response video for ya...hang in there darlin!!

  • I love your hair and makeup in this video. I gain 10 pounds just looking at food. Maybe you have to rethink your diet. Low carbs works for me when nothing else does. You don't feel hungry and that is the part that is So hard to conquer. I am sorry you are struggling. I know how that feels and it sucks so hard. After watching your whole vid. My opinion is to start Jan 1st. Make it A new years resolution, Enjoy the holidays and get your mind ready to take this on for 2011. You CAN do this!

  • Allison-

Do you think this YouTube channel may be harming you and stopping your weight loss? You've been doing this for over two years and you have over 2,000 subscribers. You have a lot of support and friends. But, two years? You could have lost all of your extra weight by now. Maybe you're subconsciously holding onto the weight so you can keep this channel going and maintain the popularity. You can choose to let this offend you, or you can take the time to actually think about it...

  • @ThisIsRyansLife I actually LOLed at this. if i could have lost the weight already don't you think i would have?

  • @allisonsfat

Honestly, no. I don't care who you are or what your situation is--anyone can lose a significant amount of weight in 2 years. But, you wouldn't be able to post anymore and get all of this love and support. Sometimes people hold onto things (such as weight) for different reasons, even subconsciously. My initial question wasn't meant as an attack, so I'll just step down here. Good luck in your future endeavors. I'll continue watching and hope to see you reach your goal.

  • @ThisIsRyansLife do i really seem that narcissistic? *rolls eyes* not helpful. and you're not giving my subscribers very much credit if you think they're only here to watch me lose weight. these people have become my friends, we're an internet family. they're not going to just ditch me when i get to goal and i'm not going to just quit making videos because i've lost the weight.

  • @ThisIsRyansLife a lot of people on youtube who get to goal still make videos...

  • this video is haunting me. I just can't believe that you are putting the taste of food ahead of your health, U said you R feeling it, your feet hurt, back hurts, legs hurt, whole body hurts, & yet you still want to feed URself the very thing that is causing that pain. Choices & consquences, buy biggeer clothes, buy more advil or whatever for the pain if you are choosing the food, but PLEASE dont choose the food, again, its just food. You love the holidays,?Jesus died for U, He wants U healthy

  • @mshealthfirst it's not just food for me. it's an old friend that never lets me down. food is my drug :(

  • @allisonsfat U HAVE TO CHANGE THE WAY U LOOK AT FOOD. THAT 'FRIEND' IS MAKING YOUR BODY HURT, MAKING U HAVE TO BUY BIGGER CLOTHES.THAT 'FRIEND' COSTS YOU BIG TIME. 'FRIENDS' DONT HURT YOU LIKE UR 'FRIEND' FOOD DOES. UR 'FRIEND' FOOD BETRAYS YOU, LIES TO U, MAKES U FEEL BAD. WHAT KIND OF 'FRIEND' IS THAT? FOOD, A FRIEND ? IS A THIEF. FOOD IS A DRUG, WHAT WOULD U SAY TO A DRUG ADDICT, GO AHEAD &SHOOT UP, ITS UR FRIEND?? LIES, ALL LIES.. U HAVE TO GET REAL, GET TOUGH, GET SOME GUTS & GET HEALTHY

  • @mshealthfirst STOP YELLING AT ME. you are not helping. of course i have to change the way i look at food. duh.

  • @allisonsfat ... allison, my caps were stuck on lock... was not yelling... my point is that you need to get real, get tough, go after it is what you really want, question is, do you want good health, better body, or do you want the food, the food that causes the pain, the heartache, the agony. choice is entirely yours. choices and consquences... thats all it adds up to. you have the power to do it IF you want it.

  • I know exactly how you feel. I was down to a weight near goal after doing weight watchers and working superhard about 5 1/2 years ago...I was even in a freaking size 10...now after being in a happy relationship for 5 years I have gained all 80 pounds (plus more) back, putting me at my highest weight ever! Well I got a new job that I start in January and I will be starting weight watchers again (for the umpteenth time)...what I know about it is that it works and they will always support you high

  • Try Weight Watchers....I love the new PointsPlus plan!

  • Please go to the medifast broads & read get support, then order. the newer food is wonderful, the recipes help alot. I suggest MF because I did it, lost 170 lbs & kept it off, MF works for food addicts, emotional eaters esp. BUT U have to get it in your head. Make U, UR body THE priority. Food is just food YOUR more imp. than food. not willing to give it up? then U have 2 accept being the size U R & that U will get bigger if you dont make UR self more imp. than food. How badly do U want it?

  • I'm not going to sit here and make you feel bad. You made this video and know that you dont feel well. You know....thinking about all of the colds you have had....could actually have to do with food allergies. I never thought about that. To set yourself up for success....i would wait until the New Year! : )

  • I had gained my usual 10 winter lbs between Halloween and Thanksgiving. I was getting readdicted to candy and large meals and i couldnt stop! Then I ate about 70% raw fruits, veg, nuts for 1 week and that reset my appetite and killed my cravings. Already lost 4 lbs in 10 days and it's been soooo easy. Watch some raw food videos and see if you can't get back in control!

  • Your hair is so cute. I must say your personality is so contagious (in a good way)...I love your personality...you should just make videos just b/c you are awesome! :) You'll get back on track...but weight loss isn't the only reason I watch you. I watch you because you seem so likeable and it's great to see. I understand gaining...I've been on that path lately myself. We'll do it though...we will!

  • Listen we all lose our way, but you will get there. You can do this, just take one step at a time

  • Hi Allison!! :) So good to see a video update from you! :) The Holidays are always a hard time of year for weight loss - everybody has all that high fat high calorie uber processed tasty goodness :) And it's OK to indulge now and again. But remember your portions. Have one piece of fudge instead of three and eat them slower - savor each bite. Remember, you're not missing out on good things in life by not eating huge portions :) really the opposite is true. Hang in there!

  • Great hair! dont get discouraged. Youll get back on track, just dont stop making videos :)

  • I so understand how you feel! I have gained probably an additional 15 pounds this year on top of the many many pounds i was already overweight!

And I feel the same about the holidays.. I don;t want to give up the yummy foods. THey taste so good. And at that moment its hard to realize that those yummy foods are causing all these physical problems. :( I am thinking about going back to WW to try the new plan after the new year. My goal right now is to not gain any more before the end of the year!

  • @silverose1209 And you are for sure missed when you stay away too long! Your videos I could watch everyday! :)

  • @silverose1209 that is exactly what i'm trying to focus on. when i'm eating turtles an pb fudge i'm not thinking about how thats what is making my feet hurt and my back hurt and all that... i'm trying to bring that to consciousness because i think that would really help.

  • You are sooo great; we missed you sooo much! No seriously, I think I can speak for all of us when say we really did miss you sooo much! I say just try not to gain too much more and start fresh in 2011. That's my strategy. I want to enjoy the holidays and not stress too much. I know it's a what every says their new year resolution is, but it is a lot easier to start a diet after all if the yummy food is not around. Cake balls, turtles, and chocolate covered pretzels! How could you possible pass

  • Also, I am starting my weight loss Vlog tomorrow after my second official weigh in. ;0) here's to hoping.

  • Ack! It posted before I was done typing. Don't give up, it's hard I know. I'm at my highest weight ever 235 & feel awful. I'm going to take it one day at a time and enjoy the holidays in moderation. ( to the best of my ability) it is working tho. I'm full and lost 4 lbs the first week. Don't give up.

  • I just started Weight Watchers again. They have a new points plus system that has been working for me so d

  • new cute hair is always a plus!

  • Its hard to tell if you are serious even with all you are going thought you are laughing like its no big deal Maybe thats your way of dealing But it wont be funny when you lose your life because of a heartattack or some other serious problome we have all watched you for years get on here and just say over and over how you are so sick of the weight But honey there isnt anything we can do for you You have to want to lose the weight and you dont want to so stop talking about it like you care

  • @MizzHappyPants wow, negative much?

  • i know exactly how you feel. weight (losing and gaining) has been a constant battle for me my entire life. the best advice i can give you is to realize that its all in your control, you can stop gaining and start losing again if you decide on doing it. mind over matter.

  • And you are awesome and lovely and look gorgeous! Love the hair. :)

  • @SingingNurseKristie i was kidding about the flattery, but thank you!

  • The thing about the holidays is this....yes there is tons on yummy stuff.... eat only what you cannot get the rest of the year. Grandma's pumpkin pie that she makes every xmas, Mom's stuffing that she makes on Tday. that sorta thing, I can get homemade cookies all year long, I can get packages stuff all year long. Good luck you are doing the first step...knowing you have to take the first step. Eat an extra green veggie tomorrow and drink an extra glass of water.

  • Oh girl, I'm right there with you. I've gained about 10 lbs. myself and am soooo not wanting to give up the foods I enjoy eating. However, the nice thing is you don't have to give the goodies up completely. Have one or two instead of indulging on half a platter or whatever. Yeah it will take some conscious effort on your part, but you really can have your cake and cookies and fudge and other deliciousness and eat it too! :p Take it day by day, meal by meal, and don't give up. You can do it! :)

  • Your hair is gorgeous! And I know how you feel. I gained a bunch of weight this fall too. : / Must be caused by global warming.

  • @DevineRose i think you're definitely right. global warming is shrinking my pants LMAO

  • Have you ever watched antishay? She is very inspiring! She is addictive! Please watch her videos from the beginning!

  • aww.. get back on track, you can do it!!! taco bell is amazing, just in moderation :) on the upside, your eyeshadow is cute!

just take it one day at a time... start jan 1st 2011 <3

  • Well I'm sitting here munching on chips like it's the last food I'll ever get!

  • @ellasgammy welcome to my world LOL

  • Tis the season for cookies.... GOD HELP US ALL! Don't worry you will get over this bump in the road. Same situation.. I would rather sit around and eat yummy holiday snacks then go work out. Not a good combination.

  • Hooray for super cute hair! Admission of guilt is the first step to recovery...or some such nonsense. Don't beat yourself up. Just go back to the basics and stay away from SWEETS. Okay...not completely. It's okay to have them in moderation. But you know what I mean. Just don't deny yourself things or this lifestyle change will seem like a punishment instead of a good thing. :) I'm a crazy bitch if I don't have chocolate at least once a week. And even then, I'm careful about what I eat.

  • @piperlynne most people have ONE sweet tooth, i have a mouth full of them lol

  • Allison, your hair is AMAZING!! I LOVE IT!! In regards to your weight, I starte something you did a while back....I started Medifast a month ago and have lost 14 pounds. Becasue of YOUR video on MF, I have finally been able to lose some weight for my wedding. MF for me is a GODSEND!

  • Around the holidays you can just have a taste of everything. Just a taste. Then eat everthing else lowfat. No oil or fried foods. I make my own low-fat cakes, for my sweet tooth. I actually lost weight through Thanksgiving this way! I eat plenty of food too. I just try not to eat more than 30 grams of fat per day, except on holidays. Hope this helps.

  • Nice Bangs!<3

  • @Nicsaprincess thanks! i'm glad you approve lol :)

  • You can do this....one day, one step at a time. Don't deny yourself anything, it will make you want it more and more---been there, done that, gained weight back.....I love the hair too!

  • @Galligsgirl you're exactly right. i feel like i have no control right now though, which is not a good feeling either. boo.

  • You should try HCG. I lost 24 pounds during the first 30 days. I'm still going strong. Check out my vids

  • girl diets dont work. this is a lifestyle otherwise youll always feel deprived and wllll quit. Take it one meal, one workout, one hour, one day at a time. I have lost 50 lbs myself there were moths were i gained, months where i didnt feel like working out, but i did it for me. i would just get up and start over. If i had a crappy lunch I would have a healthier dinner. you are worth it and your worth the fight. It may taste good for a minute but then you bet urself up and that lasts a long time.

  • I don't know if you've ever looked into "Body for Life" but at least with that diet you can have 1 cheat day a week so that you don't feel like you can never again eat the things that you like.
