* GPS , 1080p HD Videos but it only got 12 megapixels

* Canon PowerShot SX210 has 14 megapixels and the rest is like SX230 and SX220

What is the audio like during video. I have an older PowershotSX110 10X that I take to a lot of metal concerts and the sound quality is awful. The bass completely distorts the sound like crazy. My friends have a similar version in a Panasonic Lumix and it sounds like they are hooked into the sound board.

i have the canon sx210is, which is pretty good & it been to two music concerts, but i felt it struggled with the zoom sometimes & focus, so i very recently considered getting the Lumix TZ20 with the hope of better quality zoom. but after field testing it, i do prefer the canon sx210is without a doubt, if anyone like see video's in question i did, just go to my youtube account and will see probelms i had, but i have to add, if not shakira fan, you won't like them! :))

@zanyisdabomb Some Nikons are less capable than the equivalent Canons. Point and Shoots aren''t Nikon's strong point. Dollar for dollar the Canons usually outperform the Nikons. That being said, a blanket statement that "nikon are not very good camera's" (sic) is misleading.

I've zeroed-in on this camera after a lot of research. About the only two consistent niggles from folks seems to be the pop-up flash (easily solved) and many have reported that image quality doesn't always bear being enlarged for bigger prints (which I rarely need). But everything else seems great - this review has put one more tick against the camera for me. Thanks again.

question.. about the zoom noise during videos, I can here a slight buzzing noise while zooming in/out and that's normal I guess, even my powershot SX20 IS did that and it's no biggie, the only thing that bothers me is when I stop zooming you hear this loud "click/clack" noise which kind of ruins things. I haven't heard it on youtube videos, or at least in some of them I did but it was very faint while mine is very loud. Is this normal? Thanks

though that the only downside of the canon sx210is i have found, but i did buy 2 spare batteries for as little as £3 each on eBay as back up batteries, so not a huge problem really!

@clix223 It can be annoying, but once you get used to it, you'll automattically aply pressure to stop it popping up under your finger. It's as simple as that :)

@clix223 like clix223 says, from beginning it does get bit annoying, but once get uses't to the holding of the camera, you change your holding habits.. i have had my camera since early december, and it as gone through lots of test with alsorts of lighting conditions, most recent was a concert, HD video is awesome quality. :)

Hi Infosync. I am confused between the L110 and the Canon SX210is. I wanted to know which has better image quality? I will be using the camera basically for some indoor, landscapes, pets and macros photographs. Good video quality is also important. I am not sure how comfortable I would be using the new zoom button on the canon and also the pop up flash (which obstructs your fingers.. when holding the camera). I like the Nikon's form factor & bright LCD. Will be grateful for ur advise asap thanks

This is my first digital camera..Would be please tell me is class 4 is ok with this camera or glass 6 better on pic & video ? @Bk94541 I know this is a late reply and it isn't from infosync, but a higher class memory card is always better. A class 6 is faster than class 4.... 4 will work, but 6 would be better.

i've got this camera and though it takes great photos, it seems to be very temprimental. it changes its settings to what it sees sometimes instead of what i set them as...very annoying. and the sound recording is crap. i do have some good stills though but i wouldn't have paid the price i did.

Just from a point of view for holding and shooting, the SX210 is superior. The SD series are very odd shaped, made for pockets. For the price I'd stick with the SX210. There's not really anyting the 4500 does that blows the away the SX210. Just my opinion.

pstttt.... Canon SX210 IS would more awesome if you have CHDK in it :D :D :D.. CHDK allows you to capture picture to DNG or RAW format, etc that normally this camera can't do :D
