@SpyrosMitrakos This song was released in Dec. 1982 as an album song of their 7th LP record in Japan. The concept of this LP is simply modern rock pops music, the time was between 70's disco and '80s Italodisco. It's very curious to me, because this song was never released as a single, but very popular in my channel.
Unfortunatelly nobody knows them in the UK.The UK music industry is trying to promote the local bands and performers only. Not many could get into UK market exept from ABBA,Europe etc. However it goes without saying there are lots of talanted performers in continental Europe and US so as in the UK.
@drakonlena1 не плачь, нас миллионы таких наивных и сентиментальных! радуемся! муэыка жива, она никуда не девается, а у нас ......энаешь, все еще будет!
Arabesque is group very special to me, I tell for their disco music. I remember themes as such as ¨Zanzibar¨, Ïndio Boy¨, ¨Friday Night¨, ¨Midnight Dancer¨ and other themes. I like hearing the music Arabesque group because I remember so much when I was 10 years old.
Love love love them! Can't get their CD with this song! They were wonderful! Can't understand why they never made it big in the UK, I grew up in Moscow and they were massive there.
Itunes just made this song available in again in one of the greatest hit volumme. I was able to buy the whole album for less than $14 us. There were about 30 songs.
She exactly joined in Arabesque in summer of 1979. She was 17 years old. After her Mother signed the contract, she took part in the 2nd album recordings and appeared on TV shows as a lead singer of Arabesque. It's a Great Talent!
Arabesque were very popular in the USSR in the 80's

One of the best Arabesque songs. Arabesque never had any songs or promotion in the USA - yet they sang in English to the Japanese market.
And they were so talented and their music is so good! The politics of music!
