  • you do get "kinda" an awl on the fixed part of the scissors.. and a "small flathead" screwdriver at the tip of the 2d phillips screwdriver, so tthose tools are not totally gone

  • Just ordered a ps4 it'll be here in a week. Can't wait!

  • always have to check if you have done a review or not

    great job

  • Just purchased to take the place of a Swiss key and Victorinox signature. I lose a toothpick and pick up a pair of pliers for the same weight that is a big win. Thanks again for costing me money.

  • i know that the squirt is the more logical choice for a key chain but i have my juice on my keys and its not to bad. however, i am going to buy a victorinox cadet for my keys because i want to swap my juice to my back pack and leave my wave in the car or at home 85% of the time

  • Hey nutn, do you think leatherman is better or victorinox? If you had to choose only one, brand, would you go with the leatherman or victorinox?

  • love the applauds when you took out the scissors

  • I say save the punch and get rid of the blade!

  • playstation 4?

  • thanks for another great review nutnfancy :-D

  • I've got two of these little guys. love em. One rides on my keychain. The other is a little busted so I'm gonna send it back to Leatherman for another.

Watch out for the ones with pin construction. You can run into problems with them, especially if you wanna deanodize or remove the scales.

  • I closed the knife on the lanyard ring within the first 2 minutes of holding the tool and chipped the blade. Besides that terrible flaw, the tool is outstanding. Beware though!!

  • i dont know y but mine dosnt have the adjustment screws on it :(

  • I use the scissors on a mini MT five times as often as the pliers. I do miss the S4, which had my perfect tool set. The Style CS would be a worthy successor if it just had decent driving capability (it doesn't).

Still, the PS4 scissors, though small, are agile, well made and sharp. They do the job. (You can even work around the PS4's sad omission of a nail file, by using the PS4 scissors for nail grooming.)

  • In short, don't buy it if disassembling the tool is important to you. All current production ones are riveted. If you MUST have one that has torx, they're not that hard to score on the secondhand market.

  • Both the PS4 and ES4 no longer use torx screws. This has been the case since about September of last year (from my experience sending in for warranty). I called Leatherman and they told me the rivets were a rolling change and being applied to all new models at the time. They told me the design of the handles did not work as well as it did with torx screws so they switched to rivets. However, they were unsure of their answer when I called them so who knows if it's true. Feel free to be cynical.

  • Do you think is should get this or the juice?

Also how long and heavy is this compared to the juice?

  • lol MT check..only time i get those is at the airport

  • that was the splice not the clutch the clutch has pliers and the short cut is the sicsors and the splice is like the shortcut and the vice is like the clutch

  • The big shootout is between the PS4 and the Victorinox Alox Cadet. They are the titans of sub-$25 keychain utilities.

Squirt pros: Many tools! has awesome pliers; has scissors, a Phillips driver, and a wood file.

Squirt cons: knife sucks, tool detents are weak, cap lifter is mediocre.

Cadet pros: thinner than Squirt; good detents; great knife!; superior cap lifter & flat drivers; nail file.

Cadet cons: no pliers, scissors, or Phillips.

If you need pliers, Squirt wins. Otherwise Cadet wins.

  • I'd like the ES4 without a knife so it could be school friendly

  • Great review as usual man. I wish Leatherman made a larger version of the Squirt series with 3 layers of tools, instead of 2. Sort of the Juice XE6 equivalent as oopposed to the CS4.

I know, it would be a bit heavier, but it could carry tweezers, and an awl on one side, and maybe a tool like the victorinox "orange peeler" on the other. They should also magnetize the screwdrivers.

What do you people think, would such an MT make sense?

  • just a question, which multitool actually has a Pry tool? i m always in need of one..

  • @snoozymoo I don't know about MTs but try WeaponCollectors pry bar tool

  • Hey veri what leatherman keychain tool do you recommend for my keys?

  • Great reveiw Nutn', i have been rock'n the red scaled PS4 as my edc mt for months now and it ROCKS! im so glad that leatherman combined the pilers and scissors into one MT as im finding that i use the scissors just about everyday, keep up the awesome work brother, best wishes and stay safe

  • I think I'm going for the red one

  • nutnfancy what about swiss army knives?

  • Leatherman Juice S2, got to have my full size scissors, Nutnfancy. Peace!

  • Hi nuntfancy. I was wondering wether or not you have a leatherman CS4 as well? It has the desired punch! I was thinking of buying, but would like to see a good and thorough review first. Is that possible?

    Thanks, Ulk

  • Does ANYONE know how to sharpen the scissors on this thing! -.-

    -Omar

  • Im a firefighter and i had a wave but it was very hard and bulky to wear under my bunker pants. i now have a squirt and its perfect the wave it kept in my fire coat.

  • @timberland1108 I love my Squirt too. -- Veri

  • @timberland1108 Really a firefighter? XD I carry a Surge Daily.

  • This is great....I have been looking for something to carry when my full size leatherman is not an option.

  • i just bought me the ps4 looking forward to getting it

  • fanny pack! lol. Nutn, you are such a dinosaur!

"even got it on the edge so you can groove with it" Why would you need that when you are grooving with the fanny pack?

Love the videos, keep it up!

  • I miss the awl/punch to. I use to use that for all sorts of tasks. It was one of those functions I didn't really know I needed, until I got the tool and then I found all sorts of uses for it. Sadly, I broke my P4's pliers and sent it back to Leatherman and they replaced it with a PS4. However the scissors have been used many times, great for those times I buy something and have to hack open a clam shell. I also use it to cut my fingernails.

  • Why can't they have just put the flathead screw driver on the end of the file like the gerber company did. Then you would have room for the punch! Just make the punch longer and add a bottle opener to the base of it. Win win!

  • Which color is nicer blue red or black?

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 Butt pack is the military terminology....fanny makes me think of some old woman's big old, well, fat fanny. Anyway, I keep a leatherman wave on my belt so i have no use for these micro multi-tools.

  • I love my squirt! I tracked down an S4 because I'd rather have bigger scissors than pliers. The little tweezer that slips out is the best thing in a micro multi-tool since sliced processed cheese. I like the PS4 but wow, those scissors are tiny. When I carry a juice, I gotta have my CS4 (corkscrew is a must...what can I say, life in a post-apocalyptic world without being able to drink wine just wouldn't be worth living!). But the squirt is so tiny it goes with me without even noticing it.

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 Masculine Load Carrying Pack - MLC pack

  • ask a Brit what Fanny means, and you might change the name of it....

  • @jordub Lol you just reminded me of a Family Guy joke

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 lol

  • still have to have my swiss for the tweezers and toothpick. Leatherman might as well ditch that crap blade and bring the punch back.

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 how american, don't like something? change the name and pretend it's something else...

orwell would be proud of you son :P

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 Call it the "MAN PACK" lol

  • I wanna join the army when I finished high school wath do you advise of these multi tools you are showing es4 or ps4? Still sad about there is no hot pink version anymore I liked it. NO I'M NOT GAY! They are just easy to find in your tool kit or if you drop it.

  • This is an OK MT. However, the scissors are not good. Not even close to the quality in the Swiss Army Classic or Rambler, which are about the same size, but MUCH tougher. I used the Squirt PS4 scissors once, to cut some new tags off a couple of shirts and the pivot got really sloppy. NOT GOOD!, teamed with the primitive blade, and I'm not so sure I would make the same purchase again.

  • Oh, and how's this for solving the "fanny pack" naming issue: those packs were pretty popular in the skateboarding scene in the late 80's, but everyone called them "hip packs". Far better name.

  • Picked up the ES4 when it came out, and have been thoroughly pleased with it. Sure it is a bit more limited in overall capabilities than the Juice or anything else larger, but I'm honestly not going to EDC something bigger than the Squirt (not in a pants pocket, at least), and what good is a MT that you aren't going to carry? Great tool, great review.

  • wish u never showed me the punch :(... now i want one

  • I'm currently running the Squirt ES4 as my every day multitool - I do a lot of soldering and wiring and such. Any advice on how to sharpen that chisel-ground blade? It's starting to lose its edge and I'd like to get it back!

  • Looks like the Style CS would be a good MT to dedicate to a first aid kit - what with the scissors as tweezers.

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 My husband has the same problem lol

  • @nutnfancy if you got a gander mountain near by they have thier kelty coyote 4750 on sale for 29 dollars. I just bought 2 of them. if heard from crocket20 that is was very good.

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 Hardcore hip holder the H3

  • In the UK, Ireland, Australia, S. Africa, etc., "fanny" is a slang term for a woman's vulva. And it's a very well known term in those places. So "fanny pack" sounds very dirty, lol.

  • Yea I can't ever picture wearing a "fanny pack". For those of us who wear suits everyday this is impossible. A suitcase is a much better option. Much more space but above all they are professional..

  • Another multitool jeez how many are out there?

  • @MrSparten123 As many as there are stars in the night!

  • ,,,,,,,great vid......hope Ally the mountain dog is recovering well

  • What all do youi think i could cut with the wire cutters?

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 how about 'crotch luggage'?

    'groin gucci'?

    'willy wallet'?

    'la bolsa en el escroto'?

  • Just purchaced, $20 amazon...luvin it, thanx Nutn.

  • nutnfancy thank you for this review as an electrical engineer i carry in addition to my regular tools just a leatherman micra, however something which ive always missed are the wire strippers thank you for bringing the model with the wire stripper to my attention thank you

  • You gotta stop the reviews dude you are bankrupting me :))

  • lemme tell ya somethin, i was out on my boat this weekend for the first time this spring, Like an idiot i didnt have any tools in my truck and wouldnt ya know my boat would not start......long story short, i had my leatherman s2 juice and used the pliers and flat head for about ten different things to finally get the fuel lines off and get some fuel in them. needless to say i got it started and the letherman s2 saved my day on the lake.

  • The red is more crimson btw its very pretty and my mom loves it (birthday present PS4). I have the black PS4 works great is my backup multitool for my Victorinox SwissTool RS model review by Nutn.

  • Is the thickness the same as the P4/S4? When I heard of the PS4, I thought it sounded cool except with the added tools it might be really thick (like the Juice XE6 is thick due to additions over the S2). I guess if the weight is the same it probably is,

I have a Micra, which is like a Squirt S4 but no external tools. But with that it can have a little bit longer drivers, although seeing the file on the PS4 makes me wish the Micra had that file.

  • I woud just like to note that the Leatherman Surge does have a fantastic punch, as well as scissors. So leatherman does have awls in their tools.

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 How bout, the Nutnfanny-pack :')

  • someone on posted a picture on amazon for this where they replaced one of the tools with their house key. check it out its a great idea

  • I LOVE my ES4! Have it on me all the time .

  • I'm squirting watching Your vids!

  • @Rattlus I think this comment needs censorship.. :D

I LOVE my Leathermans but I'll admit, the Squirt is one I don't yet have. Next paycheck maybe.. After the ladies 21st birthday.. and anniversary.. and car tax.. and car insurance.. and.. OH HELL I CAN'T WAIT, here I come Amazon!!

  • @Rattlus Dude, you should get that checked out.

  • Great review!! I wish Leatherman offered a "PS6" and "ES6", with an extra layer for tools, to incllude the tweezers and punch on one side, and something like the "orange peeler" on Victorinox's Minichamp on the other.

I wonder if it could be possible to have a locking mechanism in such a small MT. It would be nice if they offered a version made of better materials.

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 crotch carryer.

  • GUN REVIEW PLEASE!

  • I like the ultralight multitools because I can hide them in my dress suit at work.

  • Not to seem like a noob but what is TMP?

  • @ballietbran Its TNP, The Nutnfancy Project

  • Still like having my handy Gerber.

  • Hey Nutnfancy, do you think you could do a brief video with your opinion on the California Senate Bill 798, involving the coloration of Airsoft Guns in the state of California? It is a bill that, if passed, could create enormous safety risks for Law Enforcement officers all over the US. With your enormous amount of subscribers, it would be a huge help in the movement against this extremely dangerous bill if you could make a video on it expressing whatever opinion you might have on the bill.

  • I cary the micra every single day. How much bigger is the squirt?

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 I wear a "Tactical Integrated Gear Emergency Response" Belt... "TIGER" Belt. Doesn't get much cooler than that!

  • I'm new to a lot of this stuff. what exactly are the drivers used for?

  • @weaselfly Screwdrivers... either flat head or phillips (crosspoint).

  • @cyclist01222 lol. wow. SCREWdrivers. I feel really stupid for having asked that :P

  • Every now and them my wife tells me about how the Squirt P4 I put in her purse has saved the day by performing some small task when she's at work. She works in an office, and apparently most of her coworkers are comfortable walking around at a 0% preparedness level. Although the tools on the Squirt are limited in ability, they sure beat the hell out of having nothing.

  • Hey Nutn or other tnpers,

Any one have experience with the polycarbonate sheath for the leatherman juice. The juice has been replaced by the wave/skeltool in my system but still thinking about picking up that sheath.

  • Ah great...I just bought this bacause of you!

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 I came up with "Field Accessory and Gear" pouch, but then realized that when abbreviated, it's not going to help make it sound any better.

  • Man, thanks for that great review, I´ve got the PS4 some time ago, and I rely love it.

It was great to see it compared with the Pand Es4.

I dont use a MT very often, so a small one is ideal.

    Greetings from Germany

  • on the plier head closing flat, itsd actually pointless.

the moment you open them the angle changes anyways,

and if u have something 1mm thick in those pliers, the angles will have lined up 100% perfectly.

if you grab something lager then 1mm the pliers will open up on the handle side.

if u have them perfect in closed position, then it cannot be perfect in any other position.

the only thing u will have full grip on is something as thin as paper.

  • I love carrying my MT. I carry a Leatherman Surge and aside from a little hand discomfort when using the knives or saw/scissors for extended periods of time. I don't mind carrying the weight cause at the same time I carry a Cold Steel Spartan in my pocket. Great review I've been looking at this tool for carry when I have like a suit on and bulk is a concern.

  • Great follow up review bro! Love the sounds effects too. :)

Keep up the great work and thank you for always keeping us in the loop with new and improved products!

  • lol @4:40 . I like the sound effects

  • Nalf, im an avid fan from s. Korea. When ever i hope to be home, I watch ur clips. Im a nature lover like u r n Im hoping return to explore like u do. For that I thank u~

  • The "Style CS" has a phillips/flat-head on the file.

  • Nice review again. I had a Squirt P4 and Squirt S4, great mini multitools, but I gave them away since the Juice S2 got much more pocket time and because of its bigger size it fits my needs better. Leatherman does an excellent job developing tools for so many purposes and persons.

  • Love my PS4!

This kind of video is really what you do best. And what you do best, you do oh so well. This is why I subscribed to you as one of the first channels I subscribe to. :-)

  • Nice! I didn't know they were reviving that line!

  • I've had the PS4 in my EDC for about 4 months now. Before the Squirt, I carried a micra every day. I find this one is a great upgrade for the Micra. My daily grind takes me to a corporate environment where I cant carry a blade or std multitool on me, as I might upset the bid-ness peoples. But the PS4 and its size make it the perfect accessory!

I keep it with me on weekends too, but the EDC changes!

    Great update Nutn!

  • don't worry nutnfancy, when do a mt check on me, you'll find i have my victorinox backpacker. because, i keeps me steel.

  • "gees, i thought a guy with two wives would be happy... No, no, that's a guy with two knives"

  • don't you feel like one of those knife channel guys sometimes...

  • Cap lifter is too small for beer. Works, but you have to really work it into the flairs on the cap, using several lifts, to finally open your delicious beverage.

I just use the flat wide part of the tool as a pry lifter using the same concept as opening a beer with a Bic lighter. Hard on the finish (who cares) but works great.

Other than that, I LOVE the PS4. Been hammering on every tool but the file around the lab for a few months. No complaints. Still OEM tight with exquisite tool "snick".

  • After I seen your video on the Gerber Clutch I figured it was time to pickup a small multi tool. I happened to see the Leatherman squirt in a store and bought it. Have been very happy with it and I never leave home without it.

  • what would you use the "punch" for? Loved the LCR review BTW

  • Show us that flat od green lanyard that was cool I want one please

  • I could fit 12 of those in my pocket haha

  • I miss the punch. But more than that, I miss the tweezers on the S4. That was one of the most useful tools for me.

  • THX for your Powerfull rewievs from Germany !

  • I love mine I just wish I could get one in pink for my girl.

  • TOP THE REVIEW!!

  • BANG MY HEAD WITH THAT TABLE!!!

  • I have a MT on my keychain at all times.

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 This might not sell it to you but there are pictures of Chuck Norris using a TPP (loving the nomenclature), so you can always say that when people start teasing you (if they do)

  • Help Stop False Flag Terror!!!:/watch?v=fzBM55lpNco CALL THE WHITE HOUSE: COMMENTS- (202) 456-1111 (202)456-1414

  • thancks for the vid. nutnfancy! i'w wanted to send a private mesage about thet MT. about the month a go :)

  • hmm it appears to be the gerber splice. The Gerber clutch is the older version of the splice i think and is much more functional.

  • @edcitems Not quite. There were two "pairs" of tools. The Gerber Clutch (pliers) and Shortcut (scissors), and the Gerber Vise (pliers) and Splice (scissors). They had the same secondary tool loadout between the different pairs, just different primary tools. Decent MTs, but the steel straight up stunk in terms of edge retention - even Leatherman's 420HC ran circles around it.

  • @jekostas lol you are right on the steel. Heck it might be aluminum.

  • @BuRgEoNyT1 How about a Tactical Nylon Pack TNP for TNPr's

  • Thanks for the vid , u crankin out the vids :)

  • Blown away by the amount of videos coming out of TNP!

You sir produce quality & quantity, great stuff brother.

  • Comment removed

  • Well said Nutn. I recently got a PS4 for all the reasons you cite. Its awesome. BTW, the Juice CS4 has a functional punch -- as well as a file and a saw. (And corkscrew, which is a must for me, though I've heard your opinion about corkscrews. Mileages do indeed vary.)

  • I had the PS4, but stopped carrying it because I didn't like the handle scales. Don't know why, but the scales on the PS4 just did not work for me. Since I'm always carrying either a Wave or a Juice, I decided to just use their pliers and I have a Squirt S4 for the bigger scissors now.

  • i had a gerber cluch with pliers...but it broke...or i broke it... either way i got an s2

  • Nutn, is the blade on the Style CS similar to the PS4?

  • Love seing these. Still looking to upgrade my Leatherman PST from years and years ago. Still going strong tho.

  • good video nutn and veri keep up the great work

  • been edcing the ps4 since february. It's awesome for the size. Just incredible capability for something than you can carry anywhere (i'm in the UK so my Charge TTi is not legal in public :(() - If you dont currently carry an MT everywhere get one - it will make your life easier!

  • I gotta pick one of these up. I have a Kick, and it's way to big to not have scissors. Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware of these.

  • Inadequate

  • Oh and Great review! Again As Always.

  • @nutnfancy Awesome, I have heard that Leatherman makes a bladless Multitool Do you know of it? I would like a Multi tool that can make it through airport security as I spent a lot of time in airports feeling quite inaequate for lack of any capabilities.

  • Enjoyable review -- you had a punchy / amused tone that was fun. "... you have a CUTE little pair of scissors."

  • I really like the PS4 which is more versatile than my older micra. It's nice to EDC in an office setting when you don't need a Wave or Supertool in addition to your regular edc blade.

Gander suprisingly had the PS4 on sale about a month ago -- I bought it since it was cheaper than even Amazon.

  • You forgot to mention you can now take the ps4 apart. You can even drill out the punch from the p4 and switch it out for one of the other tools on the ps4. You can switch the pliers from the ps4 to the style cs. the ps4 also doesn't steal your credit card number like the ps3. It's great.

  • Scissors!!!!!

  • I've been waiting for this review. I bought the P4 and always complained it didn't have scissors then when leatherman came out with the PS4 about 6 months ago and I have carried it everyday since and absolutely love it!!! I have the blue one and the coating is great but it has started to rub off around the rivets that hold the multi-tool together. Still not a big deal though it just looks used like it has been loved! Fantastic MT, I bought my two brother-in-laws one for christmas too.

  • The applause at 4:41 is a cool effect!! lol... great vid as usual.. Thanks!

  • Nutn, you are owning the MT reviews lately. Really enjoyed this one! Appreciate the review brother.

  • Scissors! Thanks for the review.

  • I actually purposely bought a P4 because I didn't want to lose that punch. I can do without scissors on the Squirt, that's what my Style CS is for! I think the two complement each other nicely, and work good being carried together. Put the Squirt in a pocket and clip the Style to a belt loop! It's been working great for me for about a year now.

  • Why did you reduce the volume all of a sudden temporarily when you said "Swiss Army knife scissors"?

  • great tool just the can opener i don't like

  • odd... the ps4 i have uses pins to hold it together, not mini torx screws. i wonder why that is...i would have preferred the mini torx

  • Been watching your vids for a while now...i was wondering how you store all of your prized knives and firearms...if you have an organized storage system like in a full sized safe i would be interested in seeing a "review" (if you will)on that...Thanks..Fly Fight Win

  • @eielson18 he actually has a video called something like knife storage.

  • @TheRGreviews

Yea im aware of that one..Its somewhat old and does not go into guns...I just imagine ones favorite knifes and firearms arent stuffed in a rubbermade box at the bottom of a safe...i could be wrong

  • @eielson18 i would agree with you

  • Only time I'm without my multi-tool is when I'm in the shower!

  • Greetings from Australia.

Not much of a Squirt fan though I do enjoy the Juice S2. Scissors aren't a deal breaker for me, I tend to savagely tear things with my hands or teeth before my knife or MT has a chance to deploy!

  • i have edc'ed the ps4 for 1-2 months, and i have used it once.

don't like the scissors, don't see a need for it and there is many tools i'd rather have.

and btw, the rough side of the file works fine for micarta.

  • 1min 35seconds i think nuntnfancy was pocessed by Mr Burns

  • @R1DDL3R666 Yeees!

  • my gerber vise has that same file as the splice u showd . ur right about it not only does it look bad its ptty much useless

  • This is a vindication vid for me Nutn. Found out about the squirt with scissors a couple weeks ago and picked it up as a "done exams!" reward. I have been carrying the charge Ti but packing that and an endura was a little too much (one or the other gets left at home). Now my EDC is a little more manageable.

  • @rkjackson87 Congrats, great choice and it gives the essentials on the road. Well made little buggers too!

  • Nutn - if your looking for form like the PS4 but want the larger sicssors like in the style check out the Leatherman Micra; would love to see a review of it.

  • @Red1Storm Yep I do have the Micra, haven't reviewed it yet. Just a little tool limited for me.

  • Dont forget about the Micra; its slightly larger and like the old s4 it has large scissors as the main tool. I like it better because the inside tools (knife, drivers, cap lifter, file, tweezers) can lock, sort of. Extend the knife blade, close the tool, and the blade wont close on you finger while in use...cool. Ive used scissors more often than a blade anyway. The tweezers are useful too.
