Elaine  Fitz Gibbon. She was the winner of the Davis High School Concerto Competition in 2007. You can read about the competition and Elaine on the orchestra web site in the video description.

The orchestra is brutal. Who in there right mind presented a soloist with that kind of ensemble. The soloist should not be sublected to touture. That orchestra is an insult to the soloist.

For a high school orchestra, this is bloody amazing. Kudos. The Dvorak cello concerto is not an easy piece to play or fully understand at this age. Great job.

What a great performance level for high school. Hell, I've seen college orchestras do such horrible work, Davis HS definitely performs at a high level. Now, I wish I hadn't gone to El Camino. I would've commuted to Davis to play with them.
