  • This was an unaired pilot for a syndicated edition of a daily afternoon TV series that aired from 1953 through '56 on New York's WABD {now WNYW}. Roy Doty (who co-created "DANNY DEE" with Eric Blau), is best known as an illustrator of newspaper and magazine advertising, several books, and comic strips (I remember he also drew a daily "LAUGH-IN" comic strip, based on the TV show, in the late '60s).

  • I love this show.

  • What a delightfully creative program! I have never heard of this one. The host has a soothing voice which reminds me of two iconic children's television program hosts from here in Canada - Ernie Coombs (Mr. Dressup) and Bob Homme(The Friendly Giant.)
