hello. I have a problem I have a psp and go all the folders I had accidentally deleted. I had heard that you had to format the system but I have a lot of games to buy and I would not lost ... can anyone help? I want that folder back
I'm knew on this so I watched your video on gps on psp and i would like to know if you can make one on how to install the tv tuner on the psp is the seg1 tv tuner for psp by the way thank you so much for the gps video on psp i don't know if i can make a request here but i just did thank you again
No you do not need a GPS to use the mapthis apps. However, without the GPS you will not be able to track and use turn by turn voice guidance. It will just be a plain map. If you want to be able to get a position fix, get the attachment.
Make sure you have 1.5 plugins installed and your kernel set to 3.90. If you don't know what 1.5 plugin is, you most likely do not have it intalled. Mapthis is a homebrew and homebrew require 1.5 plugins. You can search youtube on how to install the plugins.
hey, i can't get the mapviewer to work; i can't download the maps to view on mapthis. i was just wondering if you could make me a map of virginia (northern va if it's going to be to big to make)(but otherwise whole va) if you could i would be very greatful, just upload it to a website like sendspace or rapidshare and then could you give me the link in a message? thanks so much!
You don't have to pay. In fact you don't even have to register. I only register in order to be able to upload files. Well, If you're wondering, I'm not paying either.
hello man, i have a fat psp, 5.00M33-3, mapthis 0.5.2 and all i get is this ERROR: could not start usb acc driver gps will be disbled shit. Any ideas?
First of all, wrong move upgrading to firmware 5.00 There's been many reports about how people have upgrade to 5.00 and cannot downgrade back to previous firmwares. Otherwise check off the followings:
-Do you have 1.5 plugins installed? (1.5 is required for booting homebrews, MapThis! is a homebrew program)
-Is Mapthis placed in the correct directory?
-Did you enable your firmware kernel from M33 Recovery Menu (in your case 5.0 Kernel)
That's correct. Remember, you must have a custom firmware and, depending which version firmware you have, you must have 1.5 kernel plugins installed in order to boot homebrews.
Custom *Firmware. It's a software hacked for your PSP. Custom Firmware (CFW) reprograms your PSP to do things a normal or stock PSP can not. CFW basically unlocks a PSP so that it'll be able to play, boot or program games, apps, or homebrews. If you need more information you can google it.
It works. The site has been updated so it looks kind of different than the site in my tutorial. Click the link, scroll down (to option 2), click blue link that says "DOWNLOAD WITH FILEFACTORY BASIC", type in code and click continue, and click "BEGIN DOWNLOAD" button.
On the other hand, if you click the link in my description and it doesn't pull up FileFactory, something is wrong with you computer because I've just tested it and it works perfect.

tank you so much, your videos were really helpful,i was funny cause i didn't see the DOWNLOAD MAP button, lol and i did not have any glue at all. thanks, man.
Ok, I was fooling around with it today and I remembered how it goes:
1. Open GMDL & click "SET DIR" button
2. Locate the map that you made/download and select it (if you forgot where you placed it I can't help you)
3. Click the "Direction" tab & click the "GET DIRECTIONS" link
4. On "A" on left window type exact address of starting point.
5. On "B" type exact add of ending point then click "GET DIRECTION" (A route should appear on the map, if not make corrections to the address and retry)
6. Copy address in box "A" and paste into the "FROM" box on right window.
7. Copy add in box "B" and paste into the "TO" box on right window. (Make sure there's no words in parenthesis in step 6 & 7 or POI's will not be created)
8. Click the "GET VALUE" button.
9. Click the "LIST" button (A bunch of thing should start listing below)
10. Type a comment or name for your POI in the box that says "SAVE POI (START WITH A _):" and then click that button *Remember it need to start with a underscore.
There's 2 versions. 1.00 or 1.5? Which region are you from? By the way, it's version 0.5.20, You can try my link. It's universal and may, or may not work, depending if 1.5 plugins is installed or not. I don't wanna go over it again, BUT, if you don't know what 1.5 plugin is, read the comments below. If not, google it. For version 0.5.20, google, and use keywords such as "quick jump" (QJ), "mapthis!" (with the exclamation point), "0.5.20". Like I said, I haven't been following the PSP scene.
Haven't tested it on that firmware yet, but it should most definitely work, IF, and I said if, you have 1.5 plugins. Since mapthis is a homebrew and not an official sony product, you'll need 1.5 kernel to be able to boot homebrew. If it's only modded with no 1.5 capability, you'll only be able to play PSP games. That's only PSP games, no emulators, mapstuff, PSPtube, etc. Good luck.
think i found right program called "PSP 84 ver1.5.2", if this is, where would i put in psp folders, if not lol you'll have to give me a link and details cause again i not pro at psp = (
I have no idea what that is but I looked into it and it's not even a program for PSP. Well, I did some research and found that there's no plugins out yet for 3.95, you'll probably have to downgrade to a lower firmware that comes with the plugins already installed or at least has a firmware with the 1.5 plugin already release.
1.5 plugins?, lol sry but not to great with psp, = (, so i don't really know, by any chance could you explain how to download/or check if you have it? (don't get me wrong i listened to all your steps from the video's), lol
Every firmware after 3.52 m33 lost 1.5/homebrew capability, 1.5 refers to the original firmware 1.50, Homebrews are unofficial programs. It can also be games and software. Because homebrew rely on 1.5 to work, if you don't have it, homebrews will not work. I haven't been in the psp scene for a while, so I don't even know if there's a 1.5 plugin for cfw 3.95 yet. The only way I know how to check if you have 1.5 plugin, is install and play homebrew game on your PSP. If it works 1.5 is installed
Also, you can search for 1.5 plugins through google or yahoo. For best return results, use keywords such as "3.95 m33", "1.5 plugins", "cfw", etc... As far as "how to download", it's simple. Just find what you need, and click the "download" button. I suggest you read through a PSP modding forum first to familiarize yourself with the PSP modding scene so it'll be easier on you.
i got 3.95 psp and when I have the Mapthis program in games it won't play it. I've tried other versions that i found on google, just keeps saying corrupted data, got ny idea's where i can go for a working mpathis for updated psp?
I don't know. Haven't tested it on 3.95 yet. Did you install 1.5 plugins to your psp (if it's even out yet)? Because Mapthis is homebrew, it does require 1.5 plugin to work. No 1.5 capability means no homebrew capability. Or if 1.5 plugins is installed, make sure Mapthis is in the right directory.
You'll need to downgrade first, then upgrade to your desired firmware. There are two ways to do this. The first, and most preferred method is with use of pandora battery. You can make one, but you'll need a modded PSP to boot the files. The only other option is, if you don't have access to a modded PSP, to buy a pandora battery off of ebay or elsewhere if you can find it at a low cost. The second method is to downgrade with the use of an downgrading file and the original GTA or Lumines UMD.
Well I don't have the actual games and it's really hard to find those UMD now, so I can't show you visually how it's done. But I can write a tutorial and send you the files needed for downgrading and upgrading. Give me some time and I'll put it together and send it to you. I'll write it step by step and the directions are EXACT, so follow it carefully.
