  • Wasps are best dealt with in colder weather. They tend to stay in side there nest.

  • Was this in North America!?

They appear to be V. germanica... must be an extremely huge colony. I might even say perennial... did you dig it up?

  • ok, what u do is put a vacuum by the nest, and video the wasp being swooped into the vacuum, its fun i tried it near my pond where there is a huge underground wasp nest.

  • i love wasps they are great fun, i often sit near wasps nest and hope they come over to me and just sit on my hand or neck, very friendly creatures, i would love a wasps nest of my own in my bedroom

  • I wouldn't encourage yellow jackets to crawl on you... I think all would be OK until you tried to shake one off, and the agitation or even your fear might make them sting.

If you seriously like little flying critters, have a look at my other solitary bee videos... they are really cool, very gentle and with a some habitats you can make yourself (and no protective equipement as required for honey bees), you can raise them.

  • what the HELL is wrong with you?!?!? i was just sitting down minding my own business at camp once and got attacked!!!! have fun with your bedroom nest... 0_o

  • well they actually have a purpose, these bugs eat huge amounts of insects.

They will leave you alone if you do the same.

  • @david052856 Not if you mow the lawn, or do any amount of trimming near one of their nests. Oh, also if you make too much noise or move too quickly around one of their nests they get pissed and will sting the living shit out of you. EVEN if you left them alone. I would know, little fuckers have stung me a combined 20 times just mowing the lawn around them.

  • lmao

  • are those bees? or wasps?

  • These are wasps. In the US I think they are called yellow jackets - all my other videos are bee-related though.

  • Do you think I should... I don't know if the house 3 metres away would have any windows left ;)

  • just a flashbang, or a few firecrackers would have the same effect while not damaging your house.

  • That's very thoughtful of you RCP. :) It would certainly get them out, though not necessarily take them out. I will have to keep thinking about what to do.

  • If you have a blowtorch or similar- just flame them at the entrence to the nest

(you'll want to be wearing a bee suit for this).

then when they're gone- just fill in the hole and plant some more flowers for your bees.

    hope it helps!

  • Aaah some sanity at last... yes ma bees are what I am really all about. They are so much more friendlier (well non-aggressive, don't sting) that you have to go and see what they are all about! Feel free to take a tour, watch their disputes and pose any questions that come to mind.

  • great! now show us when you drop a grenade down there!
