Today there is a formula made by record companies that impose limit on the duration, number of refrains, etc, etc, that´s why all songs sounds the same. Back then a song could have 1 to 10 min and nobody would notice that the song was too short or too long....

The Big 4 wasn't based off how good the bands were, or how long they stayed thrash. They were chosen purely from record sales, in which no 4 other bands are more deserving. I think Testament and Overkill are under-appreciated though.
